Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened thrice.

After careful study of how Sonic 2 was marketed - I deduce that the absolute latest date the Sonic 3 trailer can drop is the 22nd of August.
Sonic 2’s trailer was released on the 10th of December, 2021, with the movie coming out on the 8th of April 2022.
That is just shy of 4 months.
If we take into consideration that the trailer came out 2 days after the 4 month mark, and with Sonic 3 coming out on the 20th of December, then the latest date of the trailer’s launch would have to be the 22nd of August
