I find it unbearably funny that children have this deep primal urge to hurt the teachers/adults they love. I work with kids part time, and the amount that they will target me when playing a game, or when they cheer that they get to pie me in the face or dunk me in the dunk tank (long story) is hilarious. I’ve had my shoes and socks stolen by the toddlers I work with almost every time I work with them. It’s sometimes painful, sometimes annoying, but then I remember that it’s because I’m their favorite teacher, and it just warms my heart. And scares me, somewhat, the fact that kids takes so much pleasure in me being bullied.
