You, Hermione, Ron, and Harry trudged your way back up to the castle. The breeze whipped through your hair and your eyes were filled with the vibrant green of the grounds. It was April and the four of you were trying to enjoy your one day off as much as possible. The last weeks had been filled with studying for exams, mountains of homework, and late nights in the common room. You had just finished a fun day at Hogmead and with your money bags considerably lighter the four of you made your way back to Hogwarts for dinner. 

Hermione and Ron were taking the lead, bickering about something or other, leaving you and Harry to take up the rear. Not that you were mad. The two of you were deep in conversation about the upcoming Defense Against the Dark Arts exam and you barely even realized that you were entering the Gryffindor common room until Hermione said,

“Come on y/n, I have to talk to you about something.” Wishing a quick goodbye to Harry and Ron, you followed Hermione up to your shared dorm. Shutting the door, she turned to you and said,

“I know you fancy Harry.”

SOUTH AFRICA has been having an unofficial civil war for the past 20 years but things have been escalating until 2 days ago when former ANC president Zuma was arrested. Things went from a tense 8 to 100 real quick as sporadic and violent riots broke out as pro zuma supporters took to the streets. They have burnet down malls. Looted and destroyed countless shops. Killed a journalist. Injured many others. The rioters have even taken a town hostage. No info is able to be gained on that town. This morning the rioters tore down the gates for the animal enclosures at nature reserve. The covid vaccine laboratory is on fire. Kzn has been on shutdown since yesterday. Journalists are falling left and right and the violence only continues. My people are dying. Civilian milita have been working alongside police to try curb the riots and have nothing to show for their help. Things are just getting worse and worse and closer and closer. Please reblog and help raise awareness of these violent atrocities. Cars are being bombed with people still driving. Our cities are burning.

“He’s going to get himself killed,” you muttered to Brenda, the girl laughing in response.
