everyone writes iida as someone with a stick up his ass but he's just a guy who wants to help and sticks to his morals is that so bad

he's had crushes before, but they never reciprocated his feelings because he's a 'nerd'

in his mind, he told himself that you probably didn't feel the same and he accepted that

but when you told him you felt the same way, he freaked out because he did not expect this to happen at ALL

he went haywire for a little bit, got pretty red to the point where you could almost see steam coming out of his ears

he was such a stuttering blushing mess oh my god hes so cute

he managed to ask you out on a date after like 5 minutes of him freaking out

when you said yes he had the biggest smile on his face and his eyes were so dazed with love

love languages: i do see acts of service and words of affirmation, but he's secretly a physical touch guy

i saw this theory that since he was raised to be the potential ingenium heir, he was busy with training and stuff. so busy that he wasn't really held by anyone so when you hold his hand and cling onto him he just MELTS into you

during your date, you guys went to a little shopping district

spent the day walking up and down the streets, buying little cups of street food all the way

iida was freaking OUT; mentally he was like "ohmigodimonadatewithaprettygirlwhatdoidoWHATDOIDO"

but he calms down after the first hour, and is busy relishing in your presence

when your knuckles brush up against his he freaks out again and gets so red and stiff

he literally doesn't pull away, and he hesitantly links his pinky with yours to test the waters

and obviously you guys end up hand in hand, walking out of the shopping district

while you were window shopping he saw this pair of matching bracelets, and he bought it for you guys

if you looked at anything for a long amount of time but objected to wanting it, he listed it mentally

a couple days later you get a package signed by anonymous, but you recognize the handwriting

you open it and its everything you wanted during your shopping spree with iida

when you ask him about it, he declines but he has a smug face on the for entire day

he used to end his messages with his name but after a few nags from you, he finally started believing that the receiver of his messages will know it’s him and it’s not necessary for him to sign his name off.

very stiff and straightforward in his texts but he tries his best to ‘match your energy’.

not one to understand any brain rot or internet references, hence becomes a victim to misinformation spread by denki.
