so uh i noticed something last night

both turned golden, immortalized.

to me, this shows bill's devotion to ford - almost worship, just like ford's during his research era. bill is obsessed with ford. he idolises him, carries him around like a doll, chains him up and sings him a song to try and win him over, pushes him to his limits just to see how far he can go. a god, completely at the whim of a mortal, simply because of how they behave around one another.
