Genuinely annoyed that ro ramdins tumblr tag is half dream stans talking ab how her dream video is her being respectful ab him. Like,, where are the ro stans and fanblogs?? She should be BODYING this website!!

feel like she's being ?? Deeply slept on?? She had so much nuance and brilliance and is so fucking hilarious in every single video and I can barely put into words how fucking incredible she is and... idk. Idk man it just,, infuriates me. She's gotta be the best youtubers out there and yall are sleeping on her ?? Bc she is a fat trans woman of color ??

This isn't ab dream stans (I don't fuck w him but like, idk man do u ig) but jjust,just,, frustration. She deserves so much more recognition than she receives. And I used to think tumblr would be like,, an ideal space for people to find and support queer artists of color (bc SHE'S NOT LIKE THESE OTHER YOUTUBERS BRO SHES MAKING FUXKING ART HERE) because of how safe and accepted I used to feel here, but thats not the case. And I know that's on me taking the messages I got from this sight at face value, the posts of "support fat artists" and "trans women are women" and "find and support creators of color" when in reality a lot of you will not challenge your subconscious beliefs and assumptions about marginalized groups, esp marginalized groups you aren't a part of- ans idk. It just, frustrates me.

If u haven't heard of ro ramdin before, I'm not talking about you, obviously. And I think you should give her a shot if y haven't yet. Not because I want you to, but bc she is brilliant, hilarious, kind, and always recognizes nuance in what she discusses. She's honest and has integrity and overall good vibes.

This video takes me out every time I see it

So I've been kind of obsessed with this song recently and I think I'm starting to figure out why. The lines that stick out most to me are "Hey dude, I hate everything you do but I'm trying really hard to not hate you. 'Cus hating you doesn't make you suck any less." I get the meaning I think. Wasting energy thinking about terrible people isn't worth the time. (I think there's an exception if we're doing something more than just thinking like protesting for example, but still). I'm struggling with that though. I get that it's better for your mental health to not engage with angry people on the Internet, but is the best alternative really to just ignore the problem? People with beliefs I see as harmful probably won't change their minds after talking to me. But does that mean I should just watch them insult and demean people and groups I care about and not say anything?

I haven't come to any conclusions :/
