Clay Hair Recolors Updated

New haircolor palette because I finally wanted to make my own without using mostly Pooklet’s colors. It’s still very similar to the old palette but a lot of the colors are not so shiny anymore. Also I got rid of a few colors, but I added some new ones. :) My old alpha hair retextures probably won’t be updated to this palette, cause there are just too many. Sorry about that, but I hope you’ll understand! ._.

Here are the links to all updated hairs. They all have my new 65 colors and also new file names - so please make sure to remove the old files if you redownload them. :)

The Witching Hour recolouring tutorial – no override (for complete beginners)

Heya all, I’ve decided to do a tutorial for recolouring in the Witching Hour palette for those who would like to avoid dealing with overrides. I always have trouble with overrides and so I prefer to avoid them, and you can have both the original hair textures/colours and the recolours this way for each hair under separate thumbnails, in case you would like to preserve some non-Maxis colour choices or w/e. This doesn’t mean you can’t declutter your CAS catalogue however, just like if you were doing overrides – check the end of the tutorial for a list of other tutorials directly connected to this one.

If you are not afraid (like me) of doing overrides, please take a look at my dear friend and TWH recolouring veteran @rachirdsims‘s superior override tutorial HERE. There is no right or wrong way among these two, it only comes down to what you’re more comfortable with.
