“Daddy play with me! Mommy is asleep.” She said as she walked in the room.

“Daddy has work to do, my little princess.” Mitsuhide replied as he pat his lap to have her join him.

“Your work is boring.” She said as she flopped on his knee.”

“Would you like to hear a story than?” He asked, “about the day I met a beautiful princess who changed my life and everyone else’s?”

“It’s mommy.” She said with a smile.

“It is but do you know your mother is special?” He asked as he was wrapping up his paperwork.

“How is mommy special?” She looked up into her fathers eyes. Not much missed either his eyes or his daughters who was now five.

“Mommy comes from a far away place. She shouldn’t be here now but she is. When she first arrived here she had to fight off all the things we take for granted. She is very special which makes you even more special and your new brother or sister as special too.” Mitsuhide said as he stood up and walked over to the doors and opened them. “Now let’s go outside and throw rocks into the pond. Mommy needs to rest she is growing your new sibling.”

“Let’s go!” She said as she skipped to her dad who had his hand out for her to take.
