I GOT THEM!!!! And y'all, by the time I got off work there was not just one, not two, but THREE Ewan movies available and I got them all! You know what's crazy? The movies for sale were the next three movies in line for review in order! Moulin Rouge, Black Hawk Down, and Attack of the Clones! Isn't that cool? That brings my Ewan movie collection to five! I also got the movies Red and Red 2. Red 2 was available this morning and I considered getting it but I like the first one better so I didn't want to only buy the sequel. When I got off work, the first movie was available for sale so I went ahead and got them both! I don't think anything can dull my shine today! I shouldn't have bought so much. I'm sure I'll regret it later. Right now, I'm on cloud nine đŸ˜đŸ„°đŸ„ł

I GOT THEM!!!! And Y'all, By The Time I Got Off Work There Was Not Just One, Not Two, But THREE Ewan

ALERT! ALERT!

Try to stay calm but THE "MOULIN ROUGE" DVD IS FOR SALE AT MY JOB!!!! I literally said "oh my fucking god" when I saw it. But I can't buy it because I'm on the clock and I still have 4 hours until I clock out đŸ˜«đŸ˜« I'm so scared that it's going to get bought in that time! It's brand new, still in the plastic, and only 2 DOLLARS! Oh my god, I want it sooooo bad!

Edit: I just got a chance to actually pick it up and take a look and it's not new in the plastic. Doesn't change anything for me of course. Also, another Ewan movie "Black Hawk Down" is available too! There's a good selection of general movies we have today and I'm tempted to buy an armful lol

Thoughts: Attack of the Clones

I've been watching Star Wars Attack of the Clones and got to the scene where Anakin and Padmé are in the meadow. Anakin asks her about her childhood crush or something and she says "Are you gonna use your Jedi mind trick on me?" For whatever reason, her asking that made me wonder if Force-play is a thing in the Star Wars universe and if Padmé was into it. Like, do you think Anakin ever DID try to mind trick her in the bedroom per her request? Do you think that being such a powerful and commanding figure for practically all her life would make her interested in submission? To be able to just turn her mind off and allow someone else, someone she trusts above all others, to control her body? Make decisions for her? It's a thought I found interesting.

20. Ewan McGregor Movie Review: Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

20. Ewan McGregor Movie Review: Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones

Genre: Family/Action

Rating: PG

Director: George Lucas

Starring: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Hayden Christensen

Synopsis: Ten years after The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker reunite with Padmé Amidala, now a Senator of the Republic. Their mission is to uncover who is behind the assassination attempts on her life. Anakin is sent to Naboo to act as Padmé's bodyguard and wrestles with his growing feelings for her as well as increasing visions of his mother. While Obi-Wan searches for her killer, he uncovers a secret plan to plunge the galaxy into war.

Ewan Review: Ewan McGregor returns to his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, now graduated from a Padawan to a distinguished Jedi Knight and Master to Anakin Skywalker. Obi-Wan has grown into his role as a teacher to Anakin though the two often don't see eye to eye. He must learn to trust in Anakin and give him the freedom to prove himself. Ewan speaks in an English accent and has longer hair than in The Phantom Menace. He also sports a beard. He gets in a few fights and injured in one of them. He also gets soaking wet and tied by the hands twice. His screentime doubles from The Phantom Menace so you get to see more of Obi-Wan's personality which is appreciated. He's very sarcastic and quippy in this movie. His acting performance is very well done.

Screentime Percentage: Ewan is on screen for a grand total of 33/142 minutes making his SP 23%.

To Ewan or not to Ewan: Is the movie worth watching for Ewan alone? Yes. Is the movie worth watching in general? Yes.

Where to Watch: "Attack of the Clones" is available to watch on Disney+ and fuboTV with a subscription, Hulu, Sling TV, and YouTube TV with a premium subscription, and for rent on Google Play Movies and TV, Fandango at Home, and Amazon Prime Video. You can watch it for free on soap2day.

That last sentence gutted me 😖

Shatterpoints

so Mace's shatterpoints are a source of both comedy and tragedy to me. today we will be focusing on tragedy

in fics usually they're described as superimposed over a person but i like to think that they can have specific positions

like the absolutely massive one over Anakin's heart, because it's a struggle of his heart choosing

or a shatterpoint on Obi-Wan's hand, which he would one day raise in violence against Anakin

Mace does not understand the shatterpoint behind each and every clone's head

Anakin getting married at nineteen is absolutely hilarious to me. Hysterical. This is peak comedy to me. Like, I cannot for the life of me imagine a boy who is in a monastic order that strongly discourages marriage getting married like two years out of high school. If it weren’t for the Shakespearian overtones of the prequels, this would probably get dunked on a whole lot more. I understand the whole lense of tragedy and sadness that the prequels are going for, so I forgive it a lot more. It has a sense of medieval aesthetic; the young knight marries his beloved before going off to war because both are afraid that they may never truly be together.

That being said, the Star Wars prequels missed out on the opportunity to have Anakin and Padme get Vegas-married, all drunk and shit, and then just stay married because shit, why the hell not. Like, it makes so much more sense if it’s put that way. You could have a scene where the two get drunk because they’re depressed they started the war. They’re both already so reckless, so a bit of alcohol might push them over what they were already thinking about. What makes more sense; a marriage between two sober people, one of whom is twenty-four and mature enough to understand that they are both throwing away their careers for this, or two drunk idiots deciding that marriage after two days of knowing each other is the best fucking idea?
