Possible Animated Short
I’m rewatching some of the Blizzcon clips from yesterday and I’m gonna be posting about it cause I’m super hyped! So, these pictures give us an idea of maybe a cutscene but I feel like it would be an animated short. I think that in it Reinhardt and Brigitte will go to Gothenburg, Sweden, where Torbjorn works. When they get there Torbjorn lets Reinhardt look around since he has not been there in a while or he has never been there. While Reinhardt looks around, Brigitte and Torbjorn catch up.
While looking around, Reinhardt finds Bastion and charges at him, confused why Torbjorn would have a Bastion unit in his warehouse/work shop(I’m not exactly sure what you would call it). When Brigitte and Torbjorn hear a commotion they go check it out. Torbjorn yells at Reinhardt to not attack Bastion and then explains to Reinhardt that he saved Bastion. I’m assuming he would only be explaining this to Reinhardt since I’m pretty sure than Brigitte knows about Bastion based off some voice interactions I believe they have in game. Once Torbjorn is done explaining Reinhardt apologizes to Bastion, maybe.
Eventually they get an alert that there is an attack somewhere. Then they get a call from overwatch, probably Winston or Tracer, and they decide to go help. I’m not sure if Torbjorn goes, he has a engineering business to run, but based off of the last photo, Rein and Brig take Bastion with them. Which will be interesting because it seems that Zarya is joining overwatch also, based off the last photo and a couple others. I’m gonna make a different post on that since this is getting long, but I think having Bastion on the team will create tension for Rein, Brig, and Zarya.
So, TLDR, Rein and Brig visit Torb, Rein meets Bastion, there is an attack, Rein and Brig bring Bastion to help them on the mission, I’ll post about Zarya joining overwatch another time.

Why did Zarya join Overwatch?
So, on my post about a possible animated short featuring Rein, Brig, Torb, and Bastion, I mentioned making a post about Zarya. So this is that post!
In the behind the scenes of OW2 at Blizzconline, we get to see a lot, including images of work in progress animated shorts and cutscenes. In a bunch of these clips are rough drawing with only a few fully animated parts, but with these rough drawings, you can learn a lot. While going through these clips I found a bunch that has a character that I am sure is Zarya. She is mostly drawn in pink lines (which make sense since her hair is pink) and all of the clips she is in is with the Recalled Overwatch.
When I saw this I was like, “Oh cool! Zarya’s in Overwatch!” but then I was like, “Wait why is Zarya in Overwatch?” So I’ve put some thought into it and I think I have a good idea of why she joined Overwatch.
When I started, the 1st thing I did was reread the Zarya and Sombra comic, Searching. The TLDR for the comic is that it is after the Infiltration animated short, Katya Volskaya sends Zarya to find Sombra with an Omnic named Lynx Seventeen, they find Sombra, Sombra tells Zarya about her deal with Volskaya and hacks Lynx. Sombra gets away and Zarya saves Lynx.
So, by the end of the comic Zarya doesn’t like Volskaya, but isn’t going to say anything, based off of her interaction with Lynx she is slowly moving away from the idea of hating all/most Omnics, and she is mad at Sombra. So, I think she is going to end up joining Overwatch since she is mad at Talon and Volskaya probably doesn’t trust her as much. I think this will be really good for her character development because she will need to work with two, maybe three, Omnics, Echo, Bastion, and hopefully Orisa.
Anyways, TLDR: Zarya is going to join the Recalled Overwatch to fight Talon. She will also have good character development due to her working with Omnics.
Overwatch/OW2 Theories: 2021 Archives Event

Alright! The 2021 Lunar New Year event was one of the best so far. It was so hard to choose a favorite skin when we got Pale Serpent Widowmaker, Tiger Bob, and Kkachi Echo, but I am more excited for the 2021 Archives Event that will be coming up in the next month/month and a half. So, I’m going to be talking about what the event is, for anyone who doesn’t really know what the whole point of the Archives event is, and what skins I want.
What is the Archives Event: basically, it is the event with the best challenge missions and some of the best skins(I think Halloween has best skins, fight me, but Retribution is the best game mode, Blackwatch is like a grumpy family and it’s great). Really the Archives Event is all about the lore of Overwatch. The skins are all based in the story, and we usually learn more about the story during the event. As an example, Orisa and Bastion’s Null Sector skins tie into the Omnic extremist group, Null Sector who shows up in the Uprising event.
What skins I want:
D.Va Shooting Star Skin: in D.Va’s animated short Shooting Star, we get to see Hana in an Esports uniform and a Mechanics outfit. Either would be good, it would probably be an epic skin though.
Sigma Scientist Skin: I want his outfit from his origin story when he was writing on a whiteboard... see-through-board... the name of the board doesn’t matter! Just give me a Sigma skin that has him in semi-normal clothes.
Brigitte Ironclad Skin: Torbjorn has an skin called Ironclad and I think Brigitte should also have one similar to it. We know that both Torbjorn and Brigitte have Ironclad Guild tattoos on their outer shoulders, Brigitte’s is on her left while Torbjorn’s is on his right.
Zenyatta Shambali Skin: I want this skin because of fanart I saw in a video about possible Archives Event skins. I think it’s cool because we know that Zenyatta was part of the Shambali Monastery with Mondatta, so it would be a good way to relate back to the lore and create a awesome lookin’ skin.
Ashe Deadlock Rebels Skin: the Deadlock Rebels novel by Lyndsay Ely that will come out in June 2021 has a really cool color with Deadlock McCree and Ashe in a cool lookin’ red, white, and black outfit. So yeah, I want it.
Echo Null Sector Skin: like I mentioned early, Orisa and Bastion have Null Sector skins, so I think it would be cool of the Overwatch Devs. to also make Echo look like she is in Null Sector.
Symmetra skin: I don’t know what type of skin would work for her, she already has Viskar skins for her basic legendaries and she got a Marammat skin for her special event, so I’m not sure, but she hasn’t gotten a lootbox legendary skin since the 2018 Winter Wonderland Event and I would like more Symmetra content.

Anyway, I think that I’ll either make a post about Ana or Hanzo next. I’ll also put together a couple master lists of all of my post to not just make it easier for anyone interested in my theories to look at the different posts I’ve made, but to make it easier for me to find my old posts.
TLDR: For the 2021 Archives Event, all about the Overwatch lore, I want a D.Va skin based off Shooting Star, a Sigma Scientist skin, a Brigitte Ironclad skin, a Zenyatta Shambali skin, an Ashe Deadlock Rebels skin, an Echo Null Sector skin, and a Symmetra skin of some sorts.
Overwatch/OW2 Theories: Future Character Challenges
With the Pachimari Roadhog skin challenge, I wanted to speculate about what character challenges we might get in the future. So far, we have eleven character challenges; Nano Cola D.Va, Pachimari Roadhog, Maestro Sigma, Mardi Gras Ashe, Brick Bastion, Kyogisha Hanzo, Marammat Symmetra, Comic Book Tracer, Bastet Ana, Combat Medic Baptiste, and Dr. Ziegler Mercy. So, I’m going to go over some fun ideas for skin challenges based off real world holidays and pieces of lore.
Holiday Skin Challenge Ideas:
Summer Solstice Lucio: This would be in between the Anniversary and the Summer Games, so in late June/early July. I don’t have as clear of an idea of what the skin would look like compared to other skin ideas, but it would be shades of blue, yellow, orange, and white, kind of like a sunrise.
New Year’s Wrecking Ball: So this would be around New Year’s, so between Winter Wonderland and Lunar New Year, if Winter Wonderland started earlier than normal. So, Hammond would be in a white and black suit and the wrecking ball itself, would be a disco ball.
Valentine’s Day Hanzo: This would be around Valentine’s Day, before the Lunar New Year event. I’m not exactly sure what the outfit would look like, but it would have a red, white, and pink color scheme. I think that it would fit Hanzo best because he is an archer and cupid is depicted as an archer. Ashe(maybe not Ashe since she got the Mardi Gras skin) or Widowmaker would also be ok, but it should be a sniper in my opinion.
Lore Based Skin Challenge Ideas:
Bride Widowmaker: This would be between the Anniversary event and Summer Games, or between the Summer Games and Halloween Terror event. This would be based off a photo of Amelie and Gerard on their wedding day, so I think that would be cool.
Veteran’s Day Reaper: This would be in November, around the same time the Symmetra Marammat challenge happened last year. This would be a holiday based skin and a lore based skin. He already has his Soldier: 24 skin which is supposed to be a military uniform skin, but I think giving him a skin similar to Soldier: 76′s Commando and Night Ops. skins would be cool because he was part of the US military, like Soldier 76, before joining Overwatch.
Patrol Officer Orisa: This would probably be between Archives and Anniversary. We know that Orisa was built from one of the destroyed OR15 bots from the Numbani Doomfist fight and we know that the OR15′s were used as defense bots that worked with the police. So, I think that Orisa should get a police skin that would be similar to D.Va’s Police Officer skin and Brigitte’s Riot Police skin.
Deadlock Rebels Ashe: This probably wouldn’t be a character challenge skin, since Ashe already got the Mardi Gras skin. It will most likely(hopefully) be an Archives Event skin just like Deadlock McCree. If it is a character challenge, I think that it would happen in June/July of this year since the Deadlock Rebels book is coming out in June 2021.
Anyways, I think I’m going to go over a character I want added to the game soon or a map that I want added to the game that wasn’t actually added but already had a concepts created for it.
TLDR: Some ideas I have for possible character challenges include: Summer Solstice Lucio, New Year’s Wrecking Ball, Valentine’s Day Hanzo, Bride Widowmaker, Veteran’s Day Reaper, Patrol Officer Orisa, and maybe Deadlock Rebels Ashe.
ALSO: The current Experimental Card is for April Fools Day and it is hilarious! Like Hanzo has scatter arrow again, Mei has like 400 HP, and Zenyatta can fly.
Overwatch Events: April Fools
It’s April Fools and that means that the googly eyes are back. I’m not sure how far back the Overwatch team has done this for, since I started playing Overwatch in December 2019, but on April Fools day all of the Overwatch character get googly eyes. This year, though, the Overwatch team also added googly eyes on the payloads. It’s awesome! I got photos of my favorite characters with googly eyes. Sorry for the quality of the photos.
Also, if you haven’t gotten the Midas Roadhog skin or the Good vs. Evil Echo skin, you have until April 6th to get them. Finally, I’m going to work on my post about an ex-Blackwatch tank and it should hopefully be out soon. Hope you all have a good April Fools! ~ Nova
Overwatch Event: 2021 Anniversary
Alright! On Twitter, Overwatch announced the 2021 Anniversary Event is going to be starting on Tuesday, May 18th, then ending on Tuesday, June 8th. I am REALLY excited! In the trailer on Twitter, you can see that Baptiste has a new skin, Tracer has a new emote, and Brigitte has a new emote. I love the new Baptiste skin and, surprisingly, Twitter seems to also like it. I'm not totally sure what the Baptiste skin is about, but it gives me disco vibes. Now all that we need is a Symmetra skin; she hasn't gotten a legendary skin in two years.

Overwatch 2 Developer AMA
Alright, the OW2 developers did an AMA and I want to go over some of the important details. If you want to have a more in-depth look at the AMA, here is a link to a video that talks about it. Some of the most important questions answered include:
They are testing a prototype of a new Ping system. They said that it is not a final thing, but the developer team is excited about it.
They like the possibilities of cross-play between systems(PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch), but they don't have anything to announce yet.
This is important: We will be getting a new feature somewhere "in the timeframe of soon and really soon". So, look out for something in the near future.
They are working on new comics.
Interesting Lore bit: In the "Reflections" comic, Reaper is seen stalking a family. That family is related to Reaper in some sense(I will be doing a short theory on that soon).
Bastion will be getting a rework.
Armor and shields(example: Wrecking Ball's Adaptive Shields or Brigitte's Rally Armor) will be considered as "over-health", but they are still working on it.
Gothenburg and the unknown India map might be the new unknown map type.
2CP(the Assault map type) will not be in OW2 and no more 2CP maps are being designed, but 2CP might show up in the Arcade.
There is going to be a new Symmetra skin soon(WOO!!!), hopefully, a Summer Games skin, but they didn't specify.
We will also be getting ANOTHER Widowmaker skin soon. I don't think it is going to be coming with a yearly event, I'm pretty sure it will be the June Joust skin because you win a Widowmaker statue if you win the OWL pick em's.
They will be updating the endorsement system.
Anyway, I will be posting about that Reaper theory soon and how it might be connected to a theory I have about the new comics we will be getting, depending on when they come out.
Overwatch League: Pirate Ship Bastion
Alright, so this is a day late, oops. We got another Overwatch League-themed skin. In the honor of the pirate ship comp, and for the Countdown Cup, we got Pirate Ship Bastion! Even though I like the other OWL skins, I really like this skin. I like that Bastion's feet are anchors and Ganymede is very cute as a parrot. The skin is available until August 30th and costs 200 OWL tokens. You can get 200 tokens for $10 UDS. You can also get tokens by watching the Overwatch League on the app, website, or YouTube, if you have your YT and Battlenet accounts connected.
With that said the Countdown Cup is going on this weekend, the first matches are going to be in a few hours from when I am writing this, so you can watch those matches between the Atlanta Reign, Los Angeles Gladiators, Seoul Dynasty, and Chengdu Hunters to get some tokens.
Overwatch 2 News: Sombra and Bastion Rework
Alright! It's been a bit. I'm sorry this took so long to come out, school has been kind of rough. With that said, I thought I would just talk about my opinions on the new OW2 reworks. So, let's get into it!
Overview: Sombra is actually my favorite DPS to play, so I do really like this rework. Although, it is definitely really overpowered and will need to be nerfed a little to make sure Sombra isn't overused at the Overwatch League level of play.
Specifics: For her passive ability: I like it because it will make it easier for her to finish targets. I like that it is going to make Sombra a stronger DPS. For her EMP(ultimate): This is similar to my previous point, I like this change because it is focusing more on her damage output. I also like that they are tuning out some of her CC. For translocator: I'm glad they didn't change anything. For her hack ability: I think that this is such a cool change! I like that they are tuning down the CC, but are giving Sombra more chances to hack people. I also think that giving her wallhacks is going to be fun to play. For her stealth ability: Like her hack, I really like this change. I'm glad they are making the fade-in time faster, that's going to make escaping situations easier. I also like that she can hack while invisible, I think it fits with her character well. I hope they incorporate it into future animated shorts.
Overview: I like Bastion's rework, but not as much as I like Sombra's. I like the change to his appearance. Although, I think his ultimate is actually weaker in OW2 than it is now in OW.
Specifics: For his recon configuration: I like that they are forcing Bastion to be longer range, and I like the reduced weapon spread. I think it will make him feel like even more of a hitscan. For his sentry configuration: I think the movement speed makes sense and I think giving him unlimited ammo is cool. I like how he looks more like a real-life tank now, I am wondering how much of an effect that reduced damage will have. For his artillery configuration(ultimate): I think it's alright, it's just a reworked version of Doomfist's ultimate. I think that it is worse than his current ultimate because of how vulnerable he will be while targeting locations. For self-repair: I think that it makes sense that he is losing this ability, but I am interested to see how it changes how Bastion interacts with healers, specifically Mercy. For his tactical grenade: I think that it is cool, but I feel like it doesn't match with his character super well. It feels like more of a sci-fi weapon while Bastion has always seemed more based in reality.
Anyways, I will (hopefully) be posting about the 2021 Halloween Terror Event sometime soon. Based on the other dates when the Halloween Terror Event happened in the past, I believe that the event should start on the 11th, but we'll see what happens.

i think the most appealing thing to me in any possible work of fiction is the deep and sincere expression that the universe is pointless and cold and without mercy, but - and read carefully, because this is the important part - it is worth fighting for anyway.
