jason gets shrunk and is then found by tim
Tim or Bruce is a pred. They buy/find/ Save a borrower jason
Normal/no superheoes and villains Au. Bruce along with being a billioner is secretly a sizeshifter who finds a bunch(or one or how many you want) of borrower children and becomes a father figure. Now he just need to figure out how to tell them his human.
tiny tim switches sizes with jason. This can be a pet Au or...
Definitely some interesting ideas!
1. I can see that happening during some gunfight. A rival gang got ahold of a new weapon and Tim bursts in just in time to see Jason get hit and ‘vanish’. One round of beating them into unconsciousness later and Tim find Jason, tiny and afraid. Jason warring with his want to run away and knowing it’s best to have someone looking out for him.
2. I don’t write vore, pet AUs or AUs where someone is ‘owned’.
3. This might get tossed on the WIP pile. I can imagine how much Bruce knows it’ll shatter these children for them to learn he’s the one thing they’re afraid of, most of them having bad experiences with humans prior. When the reveal does happen, whether by choice or force, they’re terrified and betrayed, unsure what they can trust of this human who lied to them and that they’d trusted to tell about everything. The gradual earning back of trust would be slow and painful and Bruce would have to be so patient but he loves his kids so he’ll do it.
4. Borrower Tim would be instantly fascinated by getting to see human technology properly, instead of in scavenged pieces, and he spends his first night dismantling and rebuilding Jason’s computer. Jason, meanwhile, is having less fun when he realises that he’s been size swapped and he goes to give Tim a piece of his mind. Cue the agreement to get them both back to normal if Jason can keep giving Tim pieces of tech to mess with.
oh hello fellow batman g/t enthusiast and now i love the idea of borrower tim just being an absolute menace when it comes to human technology. he just wants to understand how it works sooo badly so he’ll dismantle it if he has to, much to the chagrin of his family members. (but maybe bruce ends up buying a bunch of electronics he doesn’t need, like mechanical watches and cell phones, and leaving them out in convenient places for tim to find 🤔🤔) (i love batfamily fluff)
Bruce absolutely knows that Tim is stealing technology from the first time it happened and to keep him away from the more important stuff, he sets out ‘broken’ things. He even sets up a small area of the cave for Tim to work, pretending to have forgotten it and being really invested in Tim’s progress. Bruce doesn’t even meet him before deciding this is his kid. Makes it very awkward when coming across the borrower passed out from exhaustion, moments away from waking up.
I love the borrower Tim stuff you have!
I feel like after dismantling enough things Tim starts using what he dismantles to make his own gear, maybe even getting his hands on a toy car and making himself a sweet ride
Thank you!
Yes! Especially if it’s a superhero universe. Tim wants to be just like his dad Bruce and he’d be great at espionage. Tim uses a mini toy batmobile to make himself a working car. Bruce has so many photos of tiny Tim just cruising around the manor.
Wanted to share a lil gt idea I had with the batfam
What if all the bats where borrowers and still doing bat stuff? But only very specific people have ever seen them and know the truth will everyone else still thinks they're a myth? I feel like the first time Clark met Bruce and learned the truth he had a time trying to process that
Same with the other bat kids and there super friends
I love this idea! The batfam being seen as cryptids is one of my favourite interpretations and this just feeds that.
I can imagine the bats mostly do recon although they all carry weapons and tranquillisers, etc., usual bat stuff. They drop off the information in the Watchtower and the other heroes just wonder how they’ve never seen any of them. Cameras never catch sight of them: they glitch and when they come back online the only mark is a neatly folded paper with details on their latest case.
Clark is interesting because of his different power sets and strength of those powers across versions. I like to think he has enhanced hearing, so he keeps hearing tiny heartbeats and nearly silent footsteps just a bit too careful to be a mouse. He gets curious and that’s probably how he meets Bruce. He’d definitely be the type to have an actual jaw-drop and stammering moment, brain split between ‘small-protect’ and ‘this is is Batman?’.
At first, I think he’d be overbearing, constantly hovering over Bruce and the other bats although I can’t really see Bruce being all that scared by the giant teddy bear. Bruce would definitely find it demeaning and would not so subtle drop information that was clearly dangerous to obtain on Clark’s head.
I bet it would be almost the same with the other batfam members and their friends, although the speedsters would be the most chaotic.
I got this idea in my head. What if when Jason returned to Gotham after the whole Lazarus pit thing. Instead of being like 6 foot he’s a lot bigger than that.
And it’s due to the Lazarus pit being far to good at fixing shit and like activates part of his DNA he didn’t even know he had because it’s so far back in his family line.
Titan blood.
Another idea
Tim’s never been human he thought it was kind of obvious well at least for someone like Bruce aka Batman the world’s great detective.
But yet years later and other bat memberslater on also haven’t figured it out.
Also why have they never once asked about why he never takes of the ring on his finger.
Which by the way, having magic friends they should know it’s a magic object.
Unfortunately, when Tim gets sick of them not figuring out he thinks it easier just to tell Dick first.
However Dicks response was to surprisingly laugh at him, telling Tim he thinks he’s funny not because he thinks Tim being a borrower is to outlandish of an idea.
But because if it isn’t a joke then shit, that means either Tim is really dumb or doesn’t know that Bruce, Jason and himself are what borrowers fear what borrowers should run from screaming. A not very well known subspecies of human often referred to as a pred.
He’s pretty certain Tim doesn’t know, but if that ring is the only thing making Tim human in every way, instincts, appearance and scent then when he takes that of his brain will register what Tim really is and he and the others will be a danger to Timmy.
Just a stupid idea. lol
Another silly little idea inspired by welcome to Demon school Iruma-kun.
Jason knew it was stupid to try and go borrowing tonight, even stupid to try and take from the Batman.
But he didn’t expect to be taken by the Batman, made semi human by a magic amulet, and even given the chance to be Robin and then learn Batman’s secret identity.
Jason isn’t allowed to tell anyone what he used to be or that the magic amulet is magic, the only two people who are allowed to know are Bruce himself and Alfred.
He doesn’t mind because that’s the number one rule of borrowers for humans not the know they exist.
So when the original robin turns up mad he learn it wasn’t because Bruce and dick aren’t exactly human.
there Preds and that’s why Bruce doesn’t want Jason to tell dick, he isn’t sure what dick would do in his anger.
(If I ever do write this I would keep it very close to the universe, even including the whole joker thing but obviously it be a lot scary because joker would also learn that this little robin is a little borrower.)
Brother Bear inspired Au
Borrowers are seen as a pest, there well known in society but not incorporated why would they incorporate humanoid rat looking things who steal.
Bruce Wayne aka Batman, due to magic suddenly gets a new perspective of these so called pest.
He helps these two borrowers, Dick and Jason. Originally so he can learn how to adapt until he can return back to normal while keeping he’s not an actual borrower a secret.
But he begins to learn maybe society is wrong about how the view them, maybe they aren’t just pest.
