Day 16: Skinchanging
As a Stark child (unless of course you’re Sansa) Arya has the magical ability to warg into animals. Like the other Starks, she primarily wargs into her direwolf Nymeria. When she sleeps she goes into Nymeria’s mind and basically becomes Nymeria, seeing the world through her eyes. “She was no little girl in the dream; she was a wolf, huge and powerful, and when she emerged from beneath the trees in front of them and bared her teeth in a low rumbling growl, she could smell the rank stench of fear from horse and man alike. The Lyseni's mount reared and screamed in terror, and the others shouted at one another in mantalk, but before they could act the other wolves came hurtling from the darkness and the rain, a great pack of them, gaunt and wet and silent.” It goes to show that despite being forced to drive Nymeria off to protect her from the Lannisters, their bond is still powerful. Like Jon said Ghost is a part of him, Nymeria is a part of Arya. But Arya’s abilities are not limited to Nymeria. When Arya goes blind she begins warging into a black cat which still allows her to see what is going on. It is significant because the only other Stark who can warg into something other than his direwolf is Bran. This perhaps makes Arya the second most powerful warg of the Stark children after Bran. Imagine what she could do if she learned to control her magical power. And perhaps she could reunite sooner with her favorite person in the world if Ghost and Nymeria reunite first. Jon and Arya can see each other by warging into their wolves if that happens.

lil jon things i am obsessed with/think are hilarious in the order they occurred to me at 3 am
-spends the first book telling anyone who will listen that he’s Not Afraid To Die and then a wight shoves its whole hand down his throat and he’s like wow that was actually extremely scary and never says that shit again
-always got little Things he says to himself but they’re all awful. very bad affirmation game no wonder morale is low
-“did lord eddard father you on a fish wife”
-the doubts that plague me can’t catch me if i just keep making Decisions!!! let’s hear it for Decisions!!!!
-arguably contender for top woman respecter but batting absolute zero at successfully comforting crying women. unless you consider “making her mad at you instead of upset” a success
-i’m not a wolf! i’m not a wolf!! i’m not a wolf!!! while warging like almost constantly with zero control. babe i don’t think your affirmations are working you’re experiencing non consensual smells at an alarming rate

-has a terrible violence in his heart but it’s kind of the least of his problems tbh. like yeah my fire and blood levels are a little elevated but i’ve got paperwork i need to take care of

-last of the giants fixation. god he’s gonna be so mad when he comes back and wun wun is dead. this one isn’t hilarious it’s deeply moving and endearing
-an eagle almost rips his eye out and he’s like well i guess i have no choice but to have sex with ygritte at least one dozen times. it’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it
-just a crazy amount of anime main character pre-loaded swag (bastard of winterfell skin changer with an albino direwolf and a cool sword which he can really SWANG and cool facial scars etc etc) and is actively working against it. rolled super high on charisma and is trying to balance it out by being as much of a boring fuddy duddy as he possibly can. the devil works hard (at making me cool) but i work harder (at being very uncool). it is an honorable thing to be swagless by choice…….
-pretty sure he actively enjoys saying no to people. just for love of the game (the game is being disagreeable). very capricorn coded. likely brushes his teeth in the shower.

Day 3 → skills: swordfighting

Jon is considered an above average swordsman. This opinion is held by seasoned warriors with real battle experience at the Night’s Watch. Donal Noye, who has seen some of the best in the kingdoms and was personal blacksmith to House Baratheon, says Jon has obviously been trained by masters of a great house. Jeor Mormont, ex-head of House Mormont, Lord Commander of Nightswatch, believes Jon is worthy of his Valyrian steel sword. Iron Emmett, widely considered the best swordsman at Eastwatch by the Sea, if not the best in the entire Nights watch, goes back and forth, depending on the sparring session.
Trained in Winterfell by Ser Rodrick Cassell, Jon seems to have naturally good instincts in a fight. Firstly, he ‘never misses a thing’ (AGOT). He has a keen ability to read people; immediately recognizing their weaknesses and strengths. He is clear thinker in a fight with the way he uses Halder’s tendencies against him. We can see the way he coaches the recruits in the training yard. He knows how to counter a large range of moves. In addition to his natural speed, he is highly skilled for his age, even among other high born that were castle trained. Besides years of study (it is said that he and Robb practiced every day since they were big enough to walk), it is not out of the question that there is a ‘degree of wolf’ in Jon that pushes those natural abilities further when he is enraged ( we can see his seemingly unnatural strength on display when he lifts Thorne with one arm ). Admittedly this is just a warging theory, but it could also explain how he’s managed to acquire such a legendary status at such a young age.
Regardless, Jon Snow begins his journey as a green boy at 14 years of age, inexperienced in warfare. By the time we reach ADWD, he has killed a wight, held his own against The Halfhand, returned to Castle Black in spite of multiple arrow wounds, and has taken command of the Wall, holding off Mance’s entire army until Stannis arrived to smash them. All of this culminates into the reality that he is a very fine swordsman indeed. And additionally, Longclaw is one of the coolest swords in Westeros confirmed ( maybe I’m just a little biased ).

i hope when jon comes back from the dead he’s just human version of ghost. really quiet like eerily quiet. and just kind of stands there and stares at people like he’s even confused why he’s there. ALSO crossing my fingers the battle of the bastards still happens in the books. i want jon and ghost to gang up on ramsay SOOO bad.
