Edit: there was a lot of changes to his lore, so I decided to make a whole new post with the updated lore here
Here he is!! My bounty hunter sona for GBA's August art challenge! Had a lot of fun designing him :]
Here's a bit more lore on the guy:
for being one of the oldest bounty hunters for hire, he's still able to do his work better than most of the youngins out there!
because of his experience, he's trusted to do more dangerous bounties that would otherwise kill an unprepaird hunter.
his preffered weapon of choice isn't actually a weapon! he uses all kinds of poisons, venoms, and other substances to kill or subdue his targets.
an old friend of Hipswitch, he'll find the wisdom and knowledge he gained from old age to be of great help to the main four.

- Khel doesn't have any children himself, but he does have 2 nephews and a niece! (He absolutely adores his niece the most)
- Tzarians are a venomous species! Their venom stuns their victim for a period of time, the duration changing from person to person.
- Tzarians are a matriarchal society, women are highly respected in their culture.
- Khel himself is a very kind person to those he befriends, oftentimes becoming a father figure to those who need it.
- his scarf was given to him by his mother when he was a kid. He keeps it with him as a reminder of her after she passed.
- the reason his home planet's years are different from human years is because their planet takes longer to orbit! His home planet orbits around a red giant, so it takes 7 human years to make up 1 Tzarian year!
- has lots of friends within the bounty hunter groups, including our good ol robo pal Hipswitch!
- he calls anyone and everyone 'kid' and 'kiddo'

- despite his looks, he's actually very kind and soft spoken
- although he himself doesn't have any kids, he absolutely loves his niece and nephews, especially his niece!
- his two younger siblings are actually twins! Their names are Mofi and Siphon.
- he was never that good with weapons, so that's why he picked up using poisons to kill his bounties.
- his scarf and wedding ring are his two most prized possessions. His wedding ring for obvious reasons, but his scarf because it was his wife's favorite, and she wore it all the time.
- has started to call anyone kid or kiddo
- although he uses poison, he does still carry a knife with him, just in case!

Khel was born on the planet Kelfnar as the species Tzarian. His young life was filled with typical Tzarian endeavors, being taught how to hunt, cook, and other household chores. He even had 2 little siblings, twins, Sipon and Mofi.
Life was good for Khel, that was untill he was about 9. His siblings were 3 at the time, and his parents were stressed. They never wanted 3 kids, Khel was a happy surprise and the twins were a not so happy accident. They were tight for money, and at their wits end.
One day while they were at the market, they gave Khel some money, his two siblings, and told them to wait near a stall for them to come back.
...they never did.
It was then on that Khel had to learn what life was truly like. Having to beg and steal to feed himself and his siblings, teaching the other two to do the same when they were both old enough.
Childhood was hard, but thankfully with the help of the twins, they were able to find some good work and good shelter, working hard till they were adults.
Khel never really felt like a brother to Mofi and Sipon, more like a dad since theirs was never there.
Khel continued to live the life he'd found himself in, working odd jobs to get money wherever he could find them. That was until he found a new position in his early adulthood.
Bounty hunter. It was a simple job: get the information, kill the target, and bring back proof of the kill. Khel wasn't great with any weapons, but if it meant food on the table, he could learn.
It wasn't till a little later, when he started to get a hold of things, that he met his soon to be wife, Adrastea. She was a pretty well known bounty hunter, leagues above Khel's abilities. He didn't know how he came to meet her, but he was entranced by her since their first mission together.
Even though the statistics were stacked against him, and many people of both genders were after her, he somehow found himself lucky enough to have Adrastea's attention. They'd teamed up on a few occasions, and both had caught feelings.
They started dating in their early 20's, and got married in their mid 20's. They had an amazing life together, a nice place to live, and some good bounties bringing in money. They would always did bounties together, watching out for the other and working as a team.
Then one day the got a really high bounty. Not the highest amount they'd ever gotten for a bounty, but it was still a pretty good amount. The note was simple: kill the target, get the money. They'd done it a thousand times before.
When they got through it, they found out it was actually a trap set by the bounty. They got separated in the chaos, and by the time Khel found Adrastea, it was too late.
Blood, there was so much blood. She was barely grasping onto life, waiting for Khel to hopefully help her. It was no use, she'd already lost so much blood, there was no way to save her. All Khel could do was hold her as he wept, blaming himself for not getting there sooner.
Before she died, though, she had one last wish for Khel. She asked for him to travel the planets and explore them, something she'd always wanted to do. Khel promised through tears to her that he'd do what she never got the chance to.
She died soon after, Khel holding her now lifeless body, yelling to the gods asking why they would do this to him.
Khel spent the next centuries of his life mourning her death, traveling from planet to planet and honoring her wish.
He'd come back home every so often, bringing trinkets back for his family, but he never traveled with anyone for long, always prefering to travel alone.
