FEMA is doing an emergency alert test on all TVs, radios, and cell phones on October 4, 2023, at approximately 2:20pm ET.
If you live in the US and you have a phone you need to keep secret for any reason, make sure that it is turned off at this time.
Yes, I'm doing this months in advance, and yes, my blog has very little reach, but I figure better to post about it more than less.

I got it three times and two of them were in spanish
oh also its funny to me how some of the ppl complaining about the test were specifically saying "why do they have to test it they already know it works??" and when it actually happens there are so many ppl reporting issues like not getting it at all or the text being fucked up like ajskss
idk how complicated the system is and apparently some of it is ppl with old phones or certain carriers just not participating (which. why?) but yeah no turns out massive alert systems can have issues on occasion so like. probs good to check em out every once in a while. hope they got some good data from this test.

Around 2:20 p.m. ET, by the way. Just a test they do every few years but I’m sure some of you will appreciate the heads up.
