Hey bb. I'm literally going out on a limb here but I'm trying to buy Dragon Age deception and blue wraith but they are both either wildly expensive (73 Canadian big ones on Amazon for deception and 45 usa with shipping from the bioware store like???) Is there something I'm missing? Did dark horse make these exclusive titles or something? I haven't been spoiled on the comics because I want to read them but I can't even buy a digital version. Do you know what's going on?
Hello! You can get all 3 issues of Dragon Age: Deception collected together in a hardcover from Dark Horse here for $14.99, or for $3.99 per issue (one, two, three). Similarly you can get all 3 issues of Dragon Age: Blue Wraith collected together in a hardcover from them here for $14.99, or for $3.99 per issue (one, two, three). I can only see the Blue Wraith hardcover on the BioWare Gear Store currently, for $18 (not sure if that’s American or Canadian dollars) not including shipping. Prices for things like the comics and books seem to usually be a bit higher in the Gear Store compared to other outlets for whatever reason, and people have also noted that the shipping costs from the Gear Store are quite expensive. I don’t think Dark Horse made them exclusive titles, and you should be able to buy digital copies of them from places, not sure what the problem is there. Dark Horse has Digital Dark Horse.
Alternatives: Deception is on Comixology for £7.19 and here on Kobo for $8.99, Blue Wraith is on Comixology for £8.89 and here on Kobo for $10.99. Prices on Comixology tend to be pretty good ime. You could also try keeping an eye out for sales like this one Comixology had in the past. I think they’re also on Penguin Random House. They’re both currently unavailable on Forbidden Planet from what I can see.
