Nonhuman Writing Challenge Tests
In order to improve my depictions of nonhumans such as Pokémon in my Pokémon settings and fantasy creatures in my original settings, I will challenge myself to ensure that my writing passes the following three tests AND the extra challenge level as well.
The Plush Toy/Figurine Test: The sexy lamp test but for nonhumans. Nonhuman characters must be significant enough to the plot that the author would not be able to replace them with a plush toy or figurine version of themselves and the plot would stay exactly the same.
The Test of Bonds: The Bechdel Test but for nonhumans, with even more added on top. Two nonhuman characters must have a relationship with each other that includes dialogue or other substantial interaction and isn't also defined by their relationship with a human.
The Dog/Horse/Plane Test: Sapient nonhuman companion characters that are bonded to their humans must be significant enough to the plot that they cannot be replaced with a nonsapient pet animal or vehicular mode of transportation and the plot would stay the same. Similar to the Plush Toy/Figurine Test, but with special emphasis on ensuring that sapient nonhumans have as much agency as their human counterparts.
EXTRA CHALLENGE LEVEL: The work must contain nonhuman characters that pass these tests that do not have human or humanoid forms (ex: elves and human-looking fairies don't count) and are not human hybrids.
As things stand, only two stories in Risenverse (Steven's and Volo's--you will see on Volo's) pass any of these tests. Even then, both fail the Test of Bonds on the extra challenge level. There are also individuals' stories in my original fantasy setting that pass, but not everyone's does. I want to eventually work through the stories of every single human character I have with nonhumans around them so that each story passes all of these tests at the extra challenge level. This will definitely be something I need to work on.
Why is this so important to me? Well I mean, nonhuman sapient creatures don't exist in human society in real life…However, a huge part of all of my fantasy settings is that nonhumans such as sapient (human level intelligence or higher) Pokémon are oppressed, and I have always wanted a larger part of my works to be about what liberation of nonhumans in a fantasy setting would look like as well as marginalized humans (the latter of which whose liberation I am already focusing on). The extra challenge level was especially added because I also have canon/headcanons that nonhumans without humanoid appearances or forms are less privileged in human society than those that have them, and that human hybrids can sometimes have a measure of privilege over other nonhumans. If I don't have fully realized and autonomous nonhuman characters, I can't write this successfully. Therefore, these tests are a requirement for me to get across the narrative point that I want my works to convey.
Other than this, I also see these tests as a good tool that will allow nonhumans to enrich my stories in settings where they should be prominent. This especially goes for the Pokémon setting--the whole point of the games is collecting and bonding with Pokémon, so I feel my writing would be much improved if my characters' Pokémon were depicted as their own people with their own thoughts, feelings, actions and relationships instead of, well, dogs/horses/planes that are a little more magical. If you would like to take on the same challenge as I have for any reason, I would love if you could reblog this post! I want to see how many others in the RPC are interested :0
On Shipping with Volo

Volo is naturally polyamorous, due to the fact he is a Pokésouled of a naturally polyamorous fakémon species. This means he is fundamentally not satisfied in monogamous relationships and will not be shown in one. His canon polycule which will exist pretty much no matter who I ship him in consists of three characters:
His first husband (in this life) Fiacre Lhiver @jamaisunroi, written by Psyseon
His first lover, an Alolan man named Lanakila. They had a nasty breakup which you will see in Volo's bio once I post it, but 100+ years later they are back together now.
His past life's wife, Amaya.
Given that Volo is a well-known and well-documented historical figure, this information is readily available to any character who may wish to enter a relationship with him. It is also readily available information that the people in his initial polycule are his first priority, though 90% of the time this might not actually result in his other partners getting less attention since with his supernatural abilities Volo is capable of being in more than one place at once, including multiple other universes. Volo will also be upfront with them that due to his species his natural state is having multiple partners and he already has some (his canon polycule + more based on how many other characters he gets shipped with); this conversation can happen either on or offscreen.
Ships can also take place in alternate verses with each other upon request, though all of Volo's ships can theoretically take place in the same verse and I would prefer to keep as many of his ships in the same timeline as possible. I also won't absolutely say no to the possibility of shipping in an AU where Volo's current polycule never happened, but I'm not sure if I want to definitively say yes either since his relationships with these characters were an important part of his development. And even if I did, the fact he would have multiple partners would still be canon to that verse.
Finally, as an anarchist Volo doesn't always follow laws and will especially break them if they're human laws that don't accommodate his needs as a Kitzoro. So he also has no qualms about being legally married to many people across many universes under laws that you are only allowed to have a single spouse, with the mindset of "I'll do this as long as I can get away with it"--of course, with all of his partners aware and consenting to the fact that he's married across multiple universes. Heck, he's already married to multiple people by default, since his Griseous Clan culture recognizes polyamorous relationships by allowing them to marry. If a muse is not okay with this arrangement but still wishes to be partners with him, that's fine with him too.
As to children: He loves kids and if he grows close with a partner he will definitely want to have kids with them, whether they are married or not. He would be delighted to adopt children as well as having them biologically. He is also okay with not having children, seeing as he's already got like 5 with his current polycule and he's also a 470+ year old semi-eternally youthful man who's had plenty of time to have and raise kids over the ages. The same thing applies to this as to all the above: Partners will be told upfront that he has and will continue to have children with multiple partners, sometimes raising kids from multiple partners at the same time, all in the nature of Kitzoro (the kitsune fakémon species he's a Pokésouled of).
Those are my hcs on things that both muses & muns would have to be okay with if they are to ship with Volo. I will link this in Volo's bio to be easily accessible from there once I am done. Thank you all for reading!
For people who I know well, I am always willing to be a free resource for sensitivity reading. I love educating others about my experiences as a bisexual bigender Chinese & Taiwanese man/woman with ADHD, bipolar, body dysmorphic disorder, autism and anxiety who's also an incest and abuse survivor that's converting to Judaism. I may not get to every question asked immediately due to my often fragile mental state, but my buddies can drop questions on me at any time for any reason. The only limitations are:
If someone wishes to ask a sensitivity question for a work they want to make profit on, I would suggest talking to a professional as well as or instead of me.
If someone wishes to ask a question about Judaism or the Jewish experience, I would suggest asking someone who is actually Jewish as well as or instead of me.
If you want to ask a question about something dark and heavy regarding my experiences, warn me when asking and then spoiler the question or wait for me to give the go ahead before sending the question.
Please also make sure you are talking to me about other things (interests, hobbies, muses, etc.) as in a regular friendship. If someone doesn't speak to me for a while and then speaks to me only to use me as a resource, I reserve the right to refuse to answer or ask them to hold off.
If you're not sure whether we know each other well enough for this to apply to you, feel free to ask! If we've been talking regularly for at least six months the answer will most likely be yes. If the answer is no, that doesn't mean you can't ask questions--I will just be more selective about answering those questions--especially regarding my darkest experiences--and at what times I consider it appropriate for you to ask. And of course, if we get to know each other better, that no will one day become a yes. <3

Writing Notes: Realistic Injuries

References (Minor Injuries; Head Injuries; Broken Bones; Dislocated Joints; Cutting & Piercing; Blood Loss; Blunt Trauma; Burns)
WHAT'S "NORMAL"
For a normal, reasonably healthy adult the following reading are ‘normal’. Some variation is usual and what’s normal for one person may be abnormal for another.
Pulse Rate
Between 60-100 beats per minute
A fitter person will have a rate towards the slower end of the margin and a child or young person will have a naturally high rate.
Any drastic increase or decrease in pulse rate is cause for concern.
Blood Pressure
120-140 over 70-90
Can vary with the time of day, amount of stress and a number of other factors.
High blood pressure is not usually immediately dangerous but can cause long term damage.
Low blood pressure can cause faintness, dizziness and blackouts and is usually a sign that there is an underlying problem to be treated.
Body Temperature
36°C (98.6°F) to 37.5°C (99.5°F)
Relatively minor variations in temperature are cause for concern.
MINOR INJURIES
Bumps, bruises, cuts and grazes
All inconvenient.
But not incapacitating.
A blow to a bony part of a limb or to a joint
Hurts a lot at the time of impact (as anyone who’s banged their shin will agree) and may swell and stiffen.
The impact may also have the effect of temporarily disrupting the ‘power supply’ to the limb meaning the person getting hit is likely to lose their grip on anything they’re carrying and be unable to move the joint for a few minutes.
Bruises
Can take anything from a few seconds to over a day to appear and anything from a day to several weeks to fade away again.
Soft fleshy areas bruise much more colourfully.
Sprains and torn muscles/tendons etc.
Will stiffen, swell and become more painful after a few hours.
A bad sprain can be every bit as incapacitating as a broken bone.
HEAD INJURIES
Probably the most common injury in fiction.
From “let’s bash the bad guy over the head to stop him running after us” to those scenes where everyone gets thrown all over the flight deck by the first bit of turbulence and bounce their heads off consoles.
Minor Head injuries
The human skull is pretty robust and designed to take a fair amount of punishment. Consequently the occasional bump won’t do all that much damage.
A minor bump on the head may leave a character feeling dazed and suffering from a headache, blurred vision and ringing ears but will clear within a few minutes.
Facial bruising - quite uncommon, it takes quite a hard blow or a blow that impacts with the soft tissue around the eyes to leave a mark.
Minor cuts and lacerations on the scalp and face will hurt and bleed out of all proportion to their seriousness. [NOTE: A ‘laceration’ does not mean ‘a very bad cut’ – it is a term for a specific type of wound caused by the tearing rather than the slicing of the skin. It’s the sort of cut you get from being hit with a blunt object (or a fist).]
Medium Head Injuries
A more forceful blow (equivalent to a fall of several feet) can lead to complications of the injury.
Concussion (damage to the brain tissue) is quite common after a hard blow to the head and is often accompanied by temporary unconsciousness. (And it should be very temporary if you don’t want your character to be permanently damaged). This can also result in dizziness, nausea and, not surprisingly, a nasty headache.
Medium cuts and lacerations will be painful and messy but not dangerous. There may be scarring.
Severe Head Injuries
A blow to the head resulting in prolonged unconsciousness will almost certainly result in brain damage, possibly a fractured skull and bruising or bleeding within the brain itself. It can be fatal either straight away if the damage is extensive enough or later as the blood from the injury causes pressure to be put on the brain.
Severe cuts - can damage muscle and sinew and do permanent damage. The pain from such injuries would have most characters unable to concentrate on much else.
Concussion Symptoms
Confusion, disorientation, memory loss,
Dizziness, headache (lingering after the first few hours)
Nausea, vomiting,
Pupils uneven in size and/or reaction,
Sluggish reactions, sleepiness.
Any painkillers given to treat the headache must be non-narcotic and relatively mild. Otherwise it is difficult to tell if sleepiness is caused by a worsening of the injury or by the painkillers.
Someone suffering from a suspected head injury should be watched for at least 24 hours, and woken every few hours if they’re asleep, to check for the above symptoms.
BROKEN BONES
In general they hurt. A lot. Any character with a broken bone (with the possible exception of the ribs) is going to know about it and not be very happy. It is possible that if there is no displacement they might not hurt much at all, and it may not be immediately obvious that the bone is actually broken.
The initial shock and pain is often enough to cause unconsciousness. Keeping the limb immobile will minimise the pain but any pressure or movement is going to be extremely unpleasant.
Severe breaks (compound fractures) can cause part of the bone to protrude through the skin, this will also cause blood loss, which can be severe enough to be dangerous. Nerves and blood vessels can also be permanently damaged.
Smaller bones are obviously more likely to break than larger ones but they hurt every bit as much.
Distinguishing between breaks/sprains is not always easy with just 'it hurts to go on but as a guide… Lots of pain but some movement is a relatively good thing -- it indicates 'just' a tear. Less pain but very limited movement is a worry, because it can mean you've snapped something, and the joint becomes useless without surgery.
Broken Ribs
All sorts of nasty complications can arise here. For a start, though a character who has just broken a rib will feel winded and uncomfortable, the initial discomfort will pass quickly and they may feel fine for some hours afterwards. Possibly they may not even realise that they had broken anything.
After a few hours it will start to hurt badly and breathing may be impaired and painful. Problems can occur when the injured person is breathing only shallowly because of the pain and not expanding their lungs fully, lungs can collapse as a result, causing pneumonia. Interesting in a morbid kind of way is that the breathing difficulties of a collapsed lung aren't what gets you - it's the air pressure that builds up in the chest cutting of the blood flow to the heart.
Broken ribs can also puncture a lung or even the heart with fatal results. A punctured lung would result in death within 3-15 minutes if untreated.
DISLOCATED JOINTS
Hurt just as much as broken bones.
Can be forced back into place without medical facilities but it’s not recommended and will hurt a lot, probably enough to cause unconsciousness. On-the-hoof treatment is the same as for broken bones – imobilise and support the limb.
There are a few dislocations which can be life-threatening -- the sterno-clavicular joint (where the collarbone joins the breastbone) is one. It requires a lot of force to pop it (most people's collarbones will break before the joint goes), and the collarbone usually goes outwards, but if it displaces inwards, it can compress the airways. This joint can dislocate if you get slammed very hard into something like a wall and take the impact on the point of the shoulder. I can also say it hurts very badly and for a very long time.
CUTTING & PIERCING
most human beings come equipped with a healthy set of defensive reflexes to avoid it. If at all possible they will try to put something else (like hands) in the way of the blow. Most people injured in a stabbing have injuries on their hands and arms as well from trying to ward off their assailant.
The severity of the injury depends a great deal on its location:
Limbs
The arms and legs are not protected by much flesh so even a shallow cut or piercing injury here may damage bone and muscle and render the limb effectively useless.
Severe blood loss can occur if the major blood vessels in the inside of the upper arm and inner thigh are damaged.
Abdomen
Piercing injuries will bleed a lot and can easily do fatal damage, although unless a main artery is hit then it’s not going to be a quick death. A piercing more than 2 inches deep starts to get dangerous.
If the main descending aorta is hit, the character has seconds to live.
The femoral or renal arteries will lose a fatal amount of blood in 2 – 3 minutes.
Injury to internal organs would cause bleeding, infections and a nasty slow death if left untreated. Bleeding from the spleen or liver would cause death within 20 minutes. Less major damage to internal organs would cause death either from blood loss over several hours or up to several days later from infection and other complications.
Relatively slight cuts to the stomach area would affect breathing and damage muscles, More major cuts to this area can damage nerves and muscles, meaning the injured character would have no control over their legs. Not nice, when you’re trying to get away from the nutter who’s just sliced you up and suddenly your legs don’t work…
Extensive cuts here can also mean the insides are suddenly outside. Not pretty, not comfortable and, untreated, leaves the character with about 15 minutes to live and they’re going to wish it was much less. Quite apart from the pain (which is pretty horrific) the sight of their own insides tends to make most people quite hysterical.
BLOOD LOSS
Major blood loss will result in a fast weak pulse and accelerated respiratory rate.
For an average healthy person about a litre of blood lost is enough for shock to set in.
Loss of approximately a litre and a half to two litres or more will require transfusion.
Loss of more than 2 and a half litres will probably result in unconsciousness and, if transfusion is not given, death.
Symptoms of Blood Loss
Blood loss in litres < 0.75 || 0.750-1.5 || 1.5-2.0 || > 2.0

BLUNT TRAUMA
Getting hit…
Aside from the obvious risk of getting smacked upside the head or breaking bones (see above) there are assorted other injuries and complications which can arise.
Due to the elasticity of the ribcage getting smacked in the chest can cause a person to fly backwards some distance. Of course this means they can bounce off of something else and hurt themselves that way. At best they’re going to be winded and have difficulty breathing, which causes a certain amount of panic in most people. And it looks rather alarming.
Heavy blows to the back can damage the spine resulting in possible paralysis and death. Kidney injuries are also common when someone is hit in the small of the back. They can bleed and may shut down altogether. Kidney failure means the body can’t clear certain waste products from its system, if the waste products build up too far then coma and death can result.
Internal organs such as the liver and spleen can also be damaged by blunt trauma and bleed as detailed above. Other organs which may be injured are the pancreas and the intestines.
If the pancreas is damaged it may spill digestive enzymes which start to digest the person’s own insides. Obviously this is rather painful and unpleasant.
Damage to the intestines can result in blockages (causing pain, nausea and vomiting), bleeding, and the release of bacteria into the bloodstream resulting in septic shock (high fever followed by sudden drop in temperature and blood pressure – fatal if not treated) This can take 24 hours or more.
Usual treatment for internal injuries is IV feeding, antibiotics, painkillers and sometimes surgery.
BURNS
Burns are classified into degree by their seriousness.
1st degree burns – Red, sensitive skin, like a sunburn.
2nd degree burns – Blistering on the first layer of skin (the epidermis) only.
3rd degree burns – Damage to both the epidermis and dermis (the first two layers of skin), visible scars.
Burns over more than 70% of the body are life threatening due to dehydration and the risk of shock, kidney failure and infection.
Electrical shock
Physical marks can vary from none at all to severe tissue damage depending on the severity of the shock.
Internal damage can be done by electrical current traveling along the nerves and blood vessels.

A QUICK AND EASY PLOTTING GUIDE ! | OOC MEME | ACCEPTING

HELLO YUE!! I won't lie to ya, chief; you've given me a tricky task here! Picking my favourite muse out of your catalogue is like choosing my favourite kind of chocolate, and let me tell you, I have a SWEET TOOTH! Haha!
So, I've cut this post for brevity's sake, but I chose a wild card assortment!
So, in order, I put down
Asteria because my wife. I MEAN because thematically, I think these two would naturally have interactions, with Astaria being a lore-keeper and Amity filling a similar cultural role in Saijikara and Amity being a part of the Pokemon league. Asteria is (presumably) involved with the greater institution as the Hoenn champion, SO YOU SEE WHAT I'M GETTING AT HERE.
Cynthia for similar reasons but also because geographically, she's just a lot closer to Saijikara and Amity by extension. Amity and Cynthia have a similar kind of curiosity and I think it would be interesting to smoosh that together? I don't have the words to perfectly describe it, but they both have a curious but respectful air that, like, I would trust them to go into a tomb and not be a clown about it and instead sit down in the dusty darkness for an hour writing down all the glyphs to translate later. Also, because SPIRITOMB CLUB SPIRITOMB CLUB, if a collection of hundreds of souls can vibe with you and want to help serve your cause, you KNOW you're in good company - safety not considered! Haha
Nathanael because it would fascinating in a 'this is going to go down like a cherry bomb thrown into a bathroom,' not because she can't vibe with his personality (she's very patient and is spectrum/has grown up with others on the spectrum so she's completely missing that trait that gives her friction over some social cues not being followed, (Amity is oblivious, she's aware but doesn't track the following/not following) ) or because she inherently disagrees with his stances, cause honestly she doesn't! It's just the combination of both, the N 'charm,' being questioned and put on the defence, especially in regards to questioning her Pokemon Team (which is ACTUALLY her found family, not in the 'tee hee close friend group' way but like, Whinnie adopted her, he considers her sister, Magnus followed, and others trickled in to form what she calls her coven, they've been the only present family structure she's had since she was 8 and Whinnie rescued her from certain death in the forest - especially given the toxic family unit she returned to after and her mother legitimately coming to hate her - and they were her direct lifeline in raising her siblings. Poking at that is one of the only ways to genuinely get her to break character and get legitimately enraged, which probably would happen) I just - I would kill to see Amity genuinely pushed to express a negative emotion on the main - BUTTTT BUT BUT BUT, I am OFTEN wrong about Amity's reaction to things and how she takes the wheel in regards to herself - Amity wasn't meant to have ADHD, but that evolved naturally. Aside from the entertainment of a blow-up, it could be interesting if they could be civil. I mean - when was the last time Amity got to speak about Saijikara, not about her role appointed and being digestible to an outside audience but just- her genuine thoughts and feelings about it and the change of outside pressure pushing in to wipe away both unpleasant history that still lurks in the corners of your mind in the waking present and the traditions that you hold close to your identity. (also because I can see her lore dumping and N going 'wow, ANYWAYS,' and I think that'd be REAL funny)
AND VOLO -- but Volo mainly because, like, doing this meme WITHOUT including him would be like going to a shrine and not leaving a tithing. I have to pay the Volo tax and give him some attention! It's the law of the land! Haha
My muse(s): Amity De Claire - Joy + Her Pokemon Team & the Coven (Noriko Joy, Orin Fournier, Yuhuza Sataoi, Yvita & Yvona Joy + close family friends like Mako) the whole song and dance of everyone on the property! Y'feel!

Finished commissions I did for @forjustice! Three regular pokemon pieces and one fairy type skitty design! :D
I had an absolute blast working on these!! Thank you again to Tian for working with me (and being so patient through the circumstances)
For context, in my previous post, I alluded to the fact that Amity will give buttons from her vast, storied collection to people who mean something to her—not as gifts for gifting sake, exactly—but as an expression of love—to physically represent how much they mean to her, her trust in them, her enjoyment of their companionship, friendship, and simply being in her life.
You see, Amity's culture isn't one where you tell each other 'I love you' openly: to the Saijikari, word is wind. It's poor form, no, it's humiliating for the person you're speaking to and to yourself, to make proclamations without weight when you can communicate such things through less distasteful means. To the Saijikari, you show your care through actions, gifts, and the age-old art of gestures. And, to Amity, even the small buttons are a big gesture in a little package.
The buttons mean a lot to her—they're comforting to her—she collects them after all, and her favourite ones have emotional value beyond their considerable monetary worth. But more than that, it's the thought—finding one that speaks to her and reminds her of her personality, interests, and spirit, that je ne sais quois.
She puts effort behind it, even if it seems off the cuff in the moment—because that button, that one she had in mind, she's been carrying and waiting for a time when it feels natural to pass it over, so the understated meaning is best exemplified.
But with this being said! The buttons she'd give some of Yue's ( @forjustice ) muses and the whys and circumstances for each one!
ASTERIA
THE BUTTON: A tiny thing, barely larger than your pinkie nail, yet it's breathtaking in the way an ancient building surrounded by forest captures your attention. Grasping it, the button threads itself perfectly between two fingers as though inviting you to run your fingers over its polished surface. Doing so and looking at each painted detail, from the gilded gold branches and red paint, it's almost as if you can sense the history that pulses within— of the hours the artisan sat with precision to paint the pattern and the careful consideration weighing both iron and porcelain,

WHY?: It's a reminder—the painted red leaves of a fall canopy—their brief meeting shouldn't be the end, not in the slightest. Parting without resolution and a bittersweet smile that can only hide Amity's disappointment at how short their meeting was. Amity invites them, if they ever have the chance, to follow the northern wind to the Sovereign Domain of the Seasons, give her region and home a chance, and take their challenge—should the day come, Amity will be waiting with the might of Autumn at her back to test Asteria's mettle and savour in the much-awaited rematch.
WALLACE
THE BUTTON: Disk-like and wide, one could only imagine the sort of finery this button was once attached to; it doesn't seem like it could have been clothing, though. It sits in the palm of a hand, and its delicately embossed patterns, rising like wave crests above the cool, smooth porcelain, negate that possibility. It's reminiscent of the Poleis seaside— the distant song of wind chimes and shoes padding down old stone roads, white homes contrasting against a backdrop of endless azure waves, paldean-style tiles, side by side in a line to break the monotony but drawing the eye's attention; no two patterns are the same, each hand-painted and laid— You feel nostalgic for the summer just thinking about it.

WHY?: I wish I had a profound reason for this, but I'm blanking. Amity gifted it to him after they met during a contest; Amity lost, of course. She's not a contest trainer, but 'never leave a stone unturned,' she wanted the experience, and she got it, and it seemed that the kindness she had been shown left an impression. She gave him this button— presumably as thanks, if nothing more. The most profound meaning it seems to hold is its colour and pattern— she certainly hit his fashion dead on the head.
BONUS! For VOLO, specifically based off of that one verse where he scruffs her like a naughty kitten after her body is stolen by Vespodoza to keep Vespodoza pinned down to 'deal with it once and for all' when it emerges, meanwhile she gets adopted emotionally in the chaos because she's just a little guy. But, like, it applies to any Volo!
THE BUTTON: It can be described in one word: worn. Held in a person's palm, the button feels thin and fragile, with little weight to keep it centred. You feel compelled to cup your hands to keep it from blowing away; something tells you if you lost it, you'd never find it again. For the most part, it seems a run-of-the-mill, aged, working man's button— something that has outlived the original clothing it was attached to and been passed down, one jacket or sweater to the next— yet, there's something about it that seems to reject its mundanity. The once vibrant lustre now stands as a muted brass, glimmering pathetically in the light despite itself. Its surface — worn smooth and discoloured from the unforgiving passage of time — belays little of the patterns that once were etched into it. And its face, permanently etched in a soft smile, staring up at the world that has worn it down like a stone shaped by rivers might, and yet, it shows no sadness; it belays no melancholy — only warmth, radiating with each pass of the finger across its surface. It's lived a long life and adorned the clothing of many, yet it holds no regrets for the life placed upon it.

WHY?: It's a grounder— a small token that urges you to pay attention; we are all as small as buttons beneath the eyes of the cosmos, and we can all grasp for something greater— throw ourselves to the mercy of the stars, but we aren't meant for that world, a button to the stars is still a button. This world, ever vast and exciting, is our gift— all the beautiful insignificant problems we face are everything in the face of eternal nothingness. Never forget to look outside yourself and the beauty of the stars to the flawed, imperfect and wonderful world around you. From one storyteller to another, don't let yourself be absorbed by the story.

@forjustice asked: 💬 for Volo

[Unsent] [Text To] Beloved: Does Pietro talk to you about me? What does he say?

[Unsent] [Text To] Beloved: Should I have the M replaced with an X? I am on this team for the duration, it seems.

[Unsent] [Text To] Beloved: Magda, Nina, Anya ... They would hate the man I've become. They would fear me. I know it as well as I know myself. I can't forgive myself for that.
