dude i havent seen anyone yell about scar's redwood trees yet so here i go because holy mother of moses those things are a work of art.

the block choices with using red sandstone as a highlight?? i never would have thought about that-- and the lighting how scar literally abused minecraft's lighting engine to make the rays of sunlight highlight the correct side of the trunk and to leave the other side in darkness and how he leaves gaps in the trees and the one with the lopsided branches *augh* im going to scream

NOT TO MENTION how PERFECTLY every tree is placed!!! they all frame the train perfectly and the way mumbo adapted his trees to match!!! and how you can see them from bdubs area!!!! they look BREATHTAKING in the background

and his landscaping i would die to be that good at landscaping in minecraft!!!!

this season of hermitcraft has everyone really stepping up with their landscaping and enviromental storytelling so much more than any other season and scar was so right when he said we were in the ugly phase of the season but like if this is what things look like when they're UGLY then i can't WAIT for things to keep being built.

In livestreams leading up to the redwood vid, he kept talking about wanting to “show Bdubs the god rays”. If anyone appreciates good lighting its Bdubs “30% Brightness” DoubleO 100 and I am so glad we got to see his reaction too!

i think when first getting into scene scar would go to lizzie (the scene queen, of course) for pointers and she’d be really excited to share all of her knowledge and then even after scar no longer needs her help they’d still meet up every once in a while to do each other’s hair or steal pins or whatever
