Been sketching during my rewatch of heavens official blessing so here’s some Hualian art.
Yall I just started season two of heaven’s official blessing and I knew Hua chengs real form was hot but GOOD LORD I WAS NOT PREPARED HOLY FUCK. SIR. GOD DAMN (respectfully)
I FEEL SO STUPID FOR NOT CATCHING THAT THAT SCENES A METAPHOR FOR GAY SEX HELPPPP LMFAOOO (I was distracted by hua cheng being fucking gorgeous)
The tgcf English dub dice rolling gambler’s den scene has me Insane, like it was already a metaphor for gay sex in the book but oh. My god. The dialogue choices in the donghua dub. Fuck.
Like let’s take a look at these out of context:
“No, relax. Gently.”
“Like this?”
“Yes that’s perfect.”
“Again?”
“Yes.”
“You see? It’s bigger now. You’re doing great, don’t stop.”
Horniest possible dialogue, 30/10, I need to shake the scriptwriter’s hand.

It was a cool autumn, and Xie Lain had just woke up from his sleep. He was quite possibly the most beautiful person you had ever laid eyes upon; his hair long and the pretty hazel brown you ever did see and his eyes were as rich as the soil. He turns to see that the man that he fell asleep besides was gone.
"San Lang?" he called out, as he put on his white robe and opened the door.
"Yes?, Gege?" a young man replied.
Hua cheng had long black hair up in a side ponytail, and he wore red western style clothing. Xie looks out to see the young man working on the yard and says,
"San Lang , we’ve talked about this! You cant do the chores all the time, you need sleep." Xie Lain said, with frustration in his voice.
"Of course, my bad gege" the young man smirked.
Xie Lain sighs and puts his long hair up.
"What am i going to do with you?" Xie pokes Hua playfully.
"Love me~" Hua teases back.
Hua and Xie have been living together for a while. Xie lain had decided to come down from the Heaven Realm for a bit to get worshippers! Hua cheng has been deeply in love with Xie lain for over 800 years now, and he has been accompanying Xie lain for a few years now. See, Hua cheng is one of the most powerful ghost kings in the under realm, not even the heavens officals mess with him! Of course, Xie lain being the exception.
"Oh shush, last time you said something like that you asked me to marry you as a joke." Xie lain says, rolling his eyes.
"Ow! Gege you scandle, your words wound me.." Hua playfully replies, but deep down, he really was serious about wanting to marry Xie lain. He has always looked up to him. Xie had saved Hua’s life when he was young boy, and Xie was the prince. Xie lain had gave Hua cheng a reason to live, and he was determined to repay the kindness and give Xie lain all his love. And so, he become Xie lains devoted believer.
But that was just the beginning.

Xie Lian:
I think he'd be afraid of missing his turns, but he'd just miss them with grace before doing a u-turn around.
he's pretty good at driving in general.
He follows the flow of traffic... but how come if everyone else is speeding too, he's the only one that gets pulled over...?
He wouldn't get a ticket because Hua Cheng would suggest that he just be let off with a warning.
Hua Cheng:
lowkey bullies people to get his way.
He'd like to sit high up in a car like a jeep, so he can smoothly slide over to the lane he wants.
No blinkers but he's so smooth with the lane changes.
He fears nothing. He can make the sharpest turn at the last second and yet its still kinda of smooth, or maybe it just feels safe with him.
He probably never missed a turn in his life. If you're in his way, you're going with him, probably~
Xie Lian just tries to shout an apology out the window as they drive away.
Wherever they drive, it's always with each other.

My younger sibling, making some of their health mix for me: Okay so as warning. This stuff works wonders but is disgusting. I usually take it in shot form and follow it with a chaser.
Me: Yeah okay lol dramatic ass pour the vegetable shot
Me, taking the shot and literally falling to my knees with tears in my eyes: oh my god why would you put yourself through that every day. What the fuck man.
I feel this is the closest thing to ever getting to try Xie Lian's cooking. My gods. It's like burnt matcha, protein powder mixed with paint, and limes all thrown together.
Today I learned that a high pain tolerance does NOT translate to having a strong stomach. My knees actually and for real hit the floor. My ass was kneeling on the kitchen floor doing the world's shittiest Itachi impression like.
I will say. The headache that has plagued me for months does hurt a bit less only ~15 minutes later. I think that fucking concoction knocked it out of me.
