I’ll probably write a more coherent review later, but for now you get my excited fangirl ramblings.

I’m once again thinking about how Kaz and Inej had become twin soldiers, marching on, pretending they were fine, hiding their wounds and bruises from the rest of the crew and how Nina and Matthias were twin souls, soldiers destined to fight for different sides, to find each other and lose each other too quickly.

Inej:Truth or dare?

Kaz: *exasperated* truth

Inej: do you want to kiss me?

Kaz: *internal panic* dare

Inej: *leans in* I dare you to kiss me

Kaz: *visibly panicking* never have I ever

Inej: ThAT’s NOt ThE gAMe

Kaz: *later* when you can’t beat the odds, change the game

Inej rubbing her eyes and stumbling sleepily into the kitchen in the Slat wearing Kaz's shirt only to look up and realise half the Dregs are already up and have stopped mid-activity to stare at her in open-mouthed shock.

Kaz wandering in after her with his eyes half-closed, muttering "good morning" into her hair and then she digs her elbow into his stomach and he looks up and also realises they're being watched.
