“Why?”

“Why what? What’s going on?”

“Oh don’t act stupid Y/N. You know what you’ve done.” Namjoon scoffs making me frown in confusement. What had I done? I don’t remember doing anything.

“Actually. No I don’t. So please. Enlighten me. Because I fucking have no idea what’s going on Namjoon.” I snap losing my patience at all the cryptic words being used as if he was waiting for me to confess to something. They all were.

“I actually can’t believe you’ve done this to us. Of all people. I didn’t think it’d be you.” Yoongi spits with venom laced in every word, like a knife to my heart each word spat. He never shows this side to me let alone use it on me. He was always so gentle and loving. What had I done? Why was they all looking at me so...appalled?

“I want to hate you but I love you too damn much. Guess this is what I get for that huh?” Taehyung snarls and tears begin to spring into my eyes, heart heavy. He wanted to hate me. They all did. But for what?

“W-What’ve I done?! I-I don’t know what I’ve done!” I cry and I watch Jungkook’s eyes slowly soften seeing how distraught I looked. Out of everyone, Jungkook was the most observant of emotions and lying. He was a human lie detector. You couldn’t hide a single thing from him.

“Hyungs...” He says warily but he goes ignored, the others too immersed in rage as I prepare myself for the worst pain than what I was experiencing now.

“Since you’re acting so dumb should I spell it out for you? You. Betrayed. Us. Double spy scum.” Hoseok hisses and I let out a laugh of disbelief. They thought I had betrayed them? 

“What...” I whisper timidly unable to speak because I knew it would crack. Where had all this come from?

“You heard him, so there’s no point in lying and pretending to not know what’s going on now. Why’d you do it? What’d you tell Jung-mi?” Jimin growls and I shake my head in denial and disappointment. After everything. They really believed I’d do this to them?

“So this is what you think of me? This is how much you really trust me?” I croak and wave them off unable to gather words, too hurt, too shocked to even defend myself or form a proper explanation. I slowly back away from them and begin to make my way to the front door, I needed to get out of here. I felt like I was suffocating.

“You’re not giving us any reason to trust you so why should we? Not even going to defend yourself? You’re pathetic, you should be grateful we’re even sparing your life.” Namjoon snarls staring at me in disgust and I smile in defeat opening the door.

“I shouldn’t have to be defending myself. I’ll make this easy for us shall I? This will be the last time you see me. I hope you all live happy healthy lives, it was an honor to work with you, to love you.” I sniffle and Jungkook steps forward looking at me with devastation and fear, his heart was racing at the thought of losing you. He knew you. He knew you didn’t betray them, but they wouldn’t let him speak and now because of their foolishness he was suffering the consequences too. Losing you. The only person who made him feel human. Normal.

“Petal...p-please stay...I need you...” He whimpers, tears in his eyes and I shake my head blowing him a kiss.

“I’m sorry Kookie but the boys don’t want me here and I can’t ask you to come with me when they’re your hyungs’. This has made me realize where I stand with them and how much they really trusted and loved me. I love you, stay healthy, we’ll meet if fate brings us back together.” I whisper before exiting with tears streaming down my face. And just like that you was gone without a trace.

"𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒍" you said starting your 3rd Operation on a patient in the morning. You loved your job it made you feel important and something about it was thrilling (?). About an hour later You walked out of the operation theatre's door and told the patients family members that their loved one is now stable and went to throw away the blood stained white golves and green coat. Ugh it was morning when you started well now it's 1 pm that's the lunch break! While eating you wondered 3 patients uptil now this was a sign that it ll be a long day.

"𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒕, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒕" you said while giving a long sigh.

The sigh during lunch wasn't wrong you were moving in and out of the operation theatre faster than in and out burgers. It was already 9 pm one hour more and you ll be able to sleep on your cozy soft bed. while imaging your soft matteress your eyes were slowly closing and you were drifting to sleep. What wake you up was a huge shadow walking towards you but before your smart doc brain could work you instead opted to wake up and attack the person with the first thing you saw , a pen (?) . The called intruder ,your co worker and friend seonghwa caught your wrist "𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠𝑙𝑦 𝑎 𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑦/𝑛 ." "𝑰𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒅𝒆..." The last part almost inaudible He Chuckled "𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏.". You both sat in silence it wasn't the awkward one you knew seonghwa for long but never interacted alot until he started working here as a visiting doctor. He graduated earlier than you so you assumed he worked like a hospital before like you are but you didn't want to ask to maintain the invisible boundary that he always kept.

You're silence was soon broken by the dings of both you're phones.It's ʀᴇᴅ , an alert ? You give eachother a knowing look and pick up the phone to read

'Hᴀɴᴊᴜ ғᴀsʜɪᴏɴ ғᴀᴄᴛᴏʀʏ ғɪʀᴇ ʙʀᴇᴀᴋᴏᴜᴛ ᴠɪᴄᴛɪᴍs ᴄᴏᴍɪɴɢ ɪɴ 5. Gᴇᴛ ᴘʀᴇᴘᴀʀᴇᴅ.'

You both rush out to get to the entrance. You looked at everyone's panicked figures forgetting everything they were doing and thinking about to focus on the incoming trouble. then you notice a perfectly calm and composed figure of seonghwa. How's he so calm? Has he seen worse? Has he worked on outbreaks quite a bit for him to be that unaffected? You shrugged stretching your arms and rotating your wrists. You hear loud serins concentrating on it more you realise it isn't one it's many. "𝐼𝑠𝑛𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑠𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑎𝑘𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑠𝑜 𝑓𝑢𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔".Patients start rushing few with big cuts blood rushing out through them few with half burnt arms or limbs so before you can process what seonghwa said after which he disappeared examining the patients out so did you. Taking long strides to a patient bleeding from the abdomine you told yourself" 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒔".

You growl loudly at your morning alarm still in bed tired over yesterday night you barely slept for 3 hours you should have stayed and slept in the hospital like normal doctors do but you can't just sleep on that hard as rubber bed or your soft but small chair. Reminding that your saving your leaves for a vacation you get up wear the first thing you see a not so good looking outfit but your eyes are still dying to close so it goes unnoticed. One day with bad style is ok . Right ? Jay says no. Well jay isn't here. So get your ass out. Going to the hospital's cafeteria you get yourself a skimmed milk coffee. Your usual seat is near the window overlooking the garden but your exhaustion said no so you sat down on the nearest table right beside the nurses one.

"𝑇𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑎 𝑑𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑎 𝑠𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑔ℎ𝑤𝑎 𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑘"

Somebody says fake crying

You hear them from the table beside you. You start listening to their conversation not that you evesdrop (?) but the young nurses are obnoxiously loud you don't have a choice but to listen.

"𝐷𝑖𝑑𝑛𝑡 ℎ𝑒 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑦𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑑𝑎𝑦" says the older one.

" 𝐻𝑒𝑠 𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑒𝑡 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑠 𝑠𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑠." another one adds

What -wait- how ? None of your senior doctors behaved this way. Honestly you felt jealous. As a doctor in a renowned hospital you were quite adventures. Traveling was something you loved and going on trips after exams was a rule. (Un)fortunately now that you were a permanent staff you had to stop your love affair for a 'while'.

After the constant cycle of going to work and coming home late yeah you needed a break. you didn't think you d stop completely but you wanted to go all out if you' Went' out."𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒖𝒏𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒓" you yelled in your thoughts. Almost crushing your drink and aggressively getting up you rushed to your shared office and slammed the door. You submitted your application with zero hopes you ll get 4 days with only 2 official leaves . however to your suprise they didnt notice. "𝒀𝒆𝒔 𝒍𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆." you exclaimed in the hallways instantly embarassed by the turned heads.

Happily sipping on coffee on your usual seat now that all your exhaustion was gone just by planning on your 4 day trip.

As you were scrolling through secret beautiful places to visit in Busan you heard a familiar voice. You smiled raising your eyes from the screen to see jay. He was your friend from high school but in college because of your idc laid back attitude soon became a close friend. He sits down ordering a ice Americano. When he finally looks at you , you giving him a ' I'm crazy grin '. Ofcourse traveling means enjoying your journey to your destination and back so instead of taking a flight like a normal person you took a train to Busan.

Is this what heaven feels like you thought while shifting on the side still asleep because seungmin was right felix did give you the dose more than prescribed. Wait - my bed? my pillow? was it always This soft? You slowly opened your eyes but closed it immediately as the sunrays from the window beside hit you in the eye like a bullet. A bullet? That rings a bell in your head. You jump up in a sitting position hands on your mouth as your shock turns into a gasp. A man with a gun in hand. You ran and jumped in the water how it you get here?'What why how' you question but 'where' is the priority. whereever this 'where' is its definitely heavenly. The ethereal view of beach and the soft sounds of the waves calming your nerves almost instantly. You take one last deep breath before the calm serenity turns into a wild storm and hits your head like a thunderbolt. Your head drops and you catch it in your hands as you scream in pain. You feel the loosely wrapped bandage around your forehead.

There's a click as someone unlocks the door to the room you're kept in but you're in too much of pain to be aware of it.

"Noona"

"are you okay" a timid voice caught your attention. You looked up with tears in your eyes now, from the pain you were bearing. You're eyes widened but quickly narrowed as you think who this person is. However due to your effort to recall the name your head ache attacks again. "its me yang jeongin, Noona, I'm sorry does it pain a lot. Lix hyung said it wouldn't pain. I guess not" Ahh you remember him properly because he was your only student and that too a pretty cute one especially his smiling face.

Seeing his guilty face now you wipe your tears and try to smile a little even though the confusion in your brain is growing more and more.

A warm hand reached to catch your cold ones. " I'm sorry but I had no choice."

"what are you saying as far as I can recall I was being chased so I jumped in the sea. And now that we're here" your hands gestured towards the room. " you saved me. Thank you jeongin." you said with a little but warm smile.

More guilt took over him. " I can't lie to you. Listen probably to what I'm saying. Please don't freak out Noona. I don't know what my hyungs will do."

The hyungs. The hyungs for whom he cancelled your study sessions. The hyungs who would pick him up. You remember them too. Especially because you saw them in the cafe with cuts, bruises, and fractures unlike normal visitors. You warned jeongin many times but he always assured there was nothing to worry about as long as he's with these people he called hyungs.

" I don't understand jeongin" you said now trying to get off the bed and look at him in the eye now understanding the tension in the air.

"Since you saved me from that man already I don't want to ask anything more from you. I ll just call someone and go back."

" I am" he panicked " I am that man I am so sorry I couldn't hurt you but you called the cops why did you do that. I wasn't going to hurt you but you started running and I was afraid you'd call the cops again so I ran after you and then when I was listening to channie hyung you suddenly jumped and I was so shocked. Also I wasn't the one who saved you it was changbin hyung who took you out of the waters. It was lix hyung who gave you anesthesia for your head and minho hyung who bandaged you. I caused all of this mess. I'm truly sorry" He ranted out of frustration. After he took a long sigh he made you sit down back on the bed. You followed his suit because you were shocked still processing what he said and he knew that.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to throw everything out at you. Calmingly go through what I said. I promise I won't hurt you but I can't say the same for my hyungs. I ll bring fresh clothes for you."

He was the man? Hyungs with bruises? The lavish room you're kept in? Cops?

You started connecting the dots with confusion as its only conclusion. You stared blankly at the vast sea in front you. This time you heard the click of the door knob. Jeongin smiled for you, for you to not get scared at his blank expression. "Here" he kept a yellow bag on the bed. "Take a bath and change into this". "look I don't know what will happen next, so the only thing I can do for you is answer your questions."

You nodded. Of course you want to ask questions. But which out of the million questions that are in your mind should you ask first.

"Where's my phone"

He smiled in relief.

"it got wet too so I'll try to fix it. It would take about one more day."

"a-are you guys a um. Were you guys doing something there"

You were unable to form sentences. But he seemed to understand your broken words too.

"Yes we're a mafia gang. Yes we were doing a deal. No we respect women elders and children before you doubt our character."

" So am I safe?"

"Ummmm That depends on you."

He didn't want to say yes In order to give you hope about something that's uncertain but he didn't what to upset you too. So he instead chose to escape.

"I ll leave. Get ready. The meeting will start soon."

He closed the door slowly leaving you in the room all alone again.

His words "it depends on you" kept echoing in your head. You desperately needed a shower. To wash these troubles away. You grabbed the bag he kept mindlessly and entered the shower room. You thought you'd escape you're everyday life for some time by coming to busan what'd you do now that sometime would turn into forever. You came out dried yourself with the towel jeongin bought and wore the clothes. If it weren't for your absent minded state you'd see it was from a really good brand.

You reached to pull the door knob after leaving a long sigh and saying the words jeongin told you "my survival depends on me"

On turned it open and walked out on your left was a hallway with huge ceiling marble flooring and walls too. It was morning but the closed curtains making it hard to see. You moved further On your right you huge living room with 2 sofas and a table, the room having a staircase dividing into 2 midway reaching the 2 nd floor.

With silence since the moment you stepped out you started climbing the stairs while looking around. Mafia was indeed the right word. No thug would be able to afford this.

Once you reached the 2nd floor you started hearing muffled voices coming from the right so you headed over that direction. The first room was with the door wide open you peeked inside to see that it was the kitchen. The voices became louder after you passed the kitchen. You pulled the door knob of the room you assumed where the voices came from. Where the people who either saved you or were about to eliminate you. You pulled it with all the force you had and walked in expecting to meet eyes with God knows how many people but instead you walked into a room with people doing or rather shouting at each other. Jeongin noticed you standing near the door and stood up to pull out the empty lonely centre chair next to his "seat here noona"

You walked over to him and sat down now noticing the different looks you're getting at you, making you feel small and shriek you in your seat with every passing moment. Opposite you sat a man with black curly hair a plain black shirt. Eyes looking at you so mysterious you couldn't make out what he's thinking. You wanted to look away but you couldn't not when ' it depends on you'. You're stare competition ended with a mocking voice saying," hey felix you improved. She didn't die due to wrong dose of anesthesia. Minho was wrong~" How can someone so angelic be so foolish you thought.

"you wanna try saying that again" you turned your head to the man so ethereal looking you'd faint again. But wait wrong anesthesia!?

"What!" That came out more like a tell than a question.

"I understand mafias don't carry about the fucking law but you can't just give someone a wrong dose I could have died!

" Yet here you are" chimed in a man shorter than the others glaring at you.

"Let's not fight we're just as confused as you noona this happened to us for the first time too" jeongin said sensing the raising tension.

You looked at him to see he was already looking at you with those shiny fox eyes.

"Fine" you interlaced your fingers with each other thinking how to get out of this soon.

" so you don't know what to do with me right? Well I don't really have a problem with mafias. I can just go back home and forget about this. Good for both us right?"

Chan imitated your position

"Wrong. We can't just act like none of this happened. You can't just walk in and out in the skz mansion. Nobody except for the members have come in here."

"and if someone does. They don't make it out" added the one sitting next to you opposite jeongin. As tough as his words were that adorable did he looked resembling a squirrel.

"if you don't have' problems ' with mafiaswhy did you call the fucking police." He narrowed his eyes on you looking like a angry puppy

*Oh so that was you! You disconnected my call" you imitated his expression but still answered.

"I was lost. I just needed help "

"help?" he dryly chuckled continuing

"Help is what you need now. You know what happens to a burden? its discarded. You are a burden to us."

Silence fell in the room. As you couldnt think of anything to give him back. It's not something you asked to happen but his balant statement almost but you run away.

Thankfully a phone call saved you. Funny how it got you in this situation in the first place.

"we ll be there a little after what was decided. Yes thank you. "

Chan looked at Changbin on his left to which he nodded and got up but not before giving you a look you couldn't decipher.

"Y/N/L/N we have to leave right now. You can be in your room there's guards outside so you ll be safe. Let's go" He said looking right into your eyes and this time you got what his eyes said ' don't try to run away there's guards'

All got up the moment chan said let's go. The squirrel looking guy and the ethereal one still near the door as if telling you to leave the room.

So you took the sign and walked away not looking up once. Not only because you didn't dare to look at the ethereal face but also because you were exhausted of this drama already. As if you've lived here all of the time you bee line to your room or rather the room you were kept in. But right now the question was what were you going to without a phone locked in the house like a hidden princess?

Hidden princess, right you were one.you were they're hidden key. You were Nobody in their world knew about you yet you ve seen them all.

From that day you presented bangchan you're proposal. Since the day you completed your first mission.That day changed your life.

You go over to the window and look over "waah it's so high definitely made to kill the person trying to escape. You bented over and saw to your left" it's basically in the middle of nowhere, where would someone even escape from. You touch your head and run your fingers through your hair frustrated. "waah I'm in deep shit. You know what to do when your in deep trouble and don't know what to do."

You go towards your bed and climb up pulling the quilt up " you sleep".

You wake up to loud voices coming from outside probably the hallway. But the last thing you'd like is face them. Because you haven't found the answers to their allegations.

"Ahhh this is hard for me too" you shift in the bed. Just then the door opens and you freeze "please no please no"

And shuts close. You wait for a few minutes to confirm if now you've been left alone. And you were right the one who came probably jeongin thought you were sleeping so left you alone.

"people who don't wake others up while sleeping are the best"

"ahh what do I do now"

"He straight up called me useless. I-I'm useless? I'm literally a doctor excuse me like why so rude"

"Why was Changbin so rude he might not remember. At least chan showed signs of remembering me by calling my government name. That too for what? To scare me? Pfttt I'm not afraid of that aussie kangaroo. Right let's go talk to him now while my confidences still there. "

Grrr- your tummy makes a noise." After eating something! "

You step out of bed and run into the hallway when you heard someone talking. You stood near the open door trying to eavesdrop. Well it's not something a well mannered person would do but what if they were secretly planning your death ofcourse the door was kept open but why take risks when your surrounded by mafias.

"I'm sorry"

" Changbin? "

"binnie please don't"

"The new fluffy guy? "

You tried guessing their voices because you were too scared to look to be honest.

"I'm serious I don't want to do this but I don't have any other choices" Changbin said

Felix's voiced cracked while yelling "no! "

You finally looked inside to see Changbin putting a + 4 card on the table while felix is pretending to die(?)

I ran away going to the staircase because now your extremely hungry or hangry since the stupid thing they were playing wasted your time. However 2nd floor was louder so you went to check it was the 1st room the door left ajar again. This time you peaked in confidently yet carefully. There was han the one you knew from tutoring jeongin, the tallest angelic one the one who called you a burden and jeongin. Yelling and playing a video game.

" Am I in a boarding school with teens? "

"What"

You jumped at the sudden voice

It was chan right behind you hands in pockets of the black pants he wore with the signature black tank top.

"uhh nothing I-I um" you looked anywhere but him.

Grr- thankfully (?) your tummy grumpled again helping you escape his sudden question.

You looked up slightly in embarrassment

"do you want have ramyun"

"pardon"

" I don't mean that I- was going to cook for myself right that's why I was here" I look down again flustered. Today's really not your day.

"yes thanks. Kitchen's the next room"

You saw him smile today for the first time. It was nice. Just like the first time he gave you when he'd come to pick up jeongin.

He turned around mid walk "actually it would be nice if you make it 10"

"ohh of course" you say without thinking and rush towards the kitchen.

You switch on the lights. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators with a wooden table and cabinets.

"can we talk about me while eating? "

"10 ramyun! Waah am I his cook why do I need make 10 ramyun"

You boil water anyways.

"I ll give them the blandest food ever "

You yell while pouring in the flavorings

"but isn't Sesame oil red chili powder and green onions a must?"

You pout as you wonder if you should vent out your anger on food.

You add those too anyways. Foods food. No food to be harmed right?

A few minutes later the gang quietly settles down at the table while you stare at the ramyun threatening it to cook faster so you ll get out of the awkward situation faster.

" done" you kept one of the table following you Lee know and chan kept the rest too.

"thank you for the food" all said unanimously. Nothing except for its good compliment or sounds of slurping were heard and hence you didn't bring up your topic. Let's enjoy this peace for a while.

[Next morning]

You dressed in the clothes jeongin bought for you and prepared the proposal you thought over night.

You were reviewing it once more since you were confused to add that one more thing but you added it regardless.

" well there's no harm to add it"

With that you walked out of the hallway this time powerfully and knocked on the door jeongin said belonged to chan. His name on the door with black font 'CB97'

"what is this a password?"

" come in"

"good morning Mr.CB97" you smiled

"good morning but where did you find those clothes?

You looked at what you're wearing and there's nothing strange about it. Just a skirt with hood.

" jeongin gave me this why"

"that's mine"

Your smile dropped.

You started getting flustered again

no y/N now's not the time.

You brought up your poker face again

"I ll return it but right now take a look at this" you handed him the page booklet you prepared.

You made a hand written resume. Do show what your worth of.

Proffesional summary, education, skills, work history it had.

" I figured you'd not need my personal details since you already have my phone and well you wouldn't be interested in volunteering so..."

"Full Time Doctor uh. " chan said rasing his eye brows at you. It would be a lie to say that the thought of you joining the gang didn't pass chan however he was worried if you were willing to.

You nodded.

"You know why we don't have a doctor?"

"No. But now you would. Thats what matters."

"Because we don't want unnecessary members. It's risky."

Your nervousness started increasing. But you didn't want to back out now.

"But what if someone gets severely injured? Isn't it common here?"

You said slamming your hands at his desk.

"The mafias these days don't intimidate people nowadays as the times are hard"

You rolled your eyes at how annoying the situation was turning into.

"yeah right. Your not the one who had a near to death experience because of anesthesia over dose."

You reminded him.

"You call it near death experience I call it vibe check from god and you're having it frequently". A voice said from behind you. You turned around to see the handsome man you now recognise as Lee know. You're eyes followed him around as he made his way besides chan. Still smiling in a flirtous way as he was still proud of his statement.

“That's ridiculous "you laughed.

After few awkward seconds you sighed releasing the breath you didn't know you were holding. And bent forward to turn the page over to point at the certain secret points you didn't want to do.

" Secret agent? "

You nodded looking away. Because as you knew from the movies it would be dangerous. Fun but dangerous.

"We already have those" Lee know said with a defending tone.

"Well everyone isnt gay. You ll need a female one too" you narrowed your eyes at him.

"Hey you..." Lee know started speaking in a low voice when chan interrupted him.

"cook too?" he asked reading the resume further.

"I- "

"Good for me then. " Lee know cut you while speaking.

"Y/N I ll discuss with the rest of the members and tell you are final decision. Thank you. "

"yeah okay"

You replied and walked out as fast as you could.

"You shouldn't have been this harsh."

"well we can't just straight up trust her and include her in the gang that's what our mafia rule is you have to pay the price for your actions."

"however if her actions are justified for our good we'll give her a prize"

A knock is heard and Changbin enters.

And chan immediately asks his opinion on the new found girl in the skz premises.

"it's too soon to judge but what's this"

He takes the resume from chan and looks through it

"right but which task to give her to prove herself with trust and skills?"

"I have the perfect one hyung. I actually came to talk to you guys about it."

" The nct boys are throwing a party this is the perfect opportunity to break in"

All the three boys smiled at each other knowingly. "Let's get ready then" announced chan to which both of them walked out while chan texted the group to gather around.

You come out the bathroom while drying your hair body covered with a robe. Your eyes still on the window as you make your way to the bed when you stop in your steps. You see a black blurry bag from the corner of your eye and whip your head in that direction. It was left on the rank near to the door.

" Did someone come? When? "

You pulled the bag and turned it upside down instantly causing the contents inside fall out making clicking sounds.

A black dress slips down from the rank making a bundle at your feet. You bend over to pick it up and feel the expensive material in between your fingers. The clicking sound came from the black gem jewellery set now fallen on the glass rank. Shining more brightly due to its own reflection in the glass. You rush to stand in front of the mirror holding the dress as close as you can to yourself imagining how good you ll look.

Did jeongin give this?

You lay the dress on your bed carefully not to wrinkle it. Moving your hand throughly in the inside of the bag to see if you've missed anything and you were right when you feel a card and you pull it out.

"Wear this instead. Come out at 5 :)"

Chan?

You immediately recall the conversation you shared early the same day. It was him.

"But isn't this for like a party? A dinner date?" you blush at the thought but heaviness quickly takes over your heart. How dangerous was going on a date with the mafia boss was? Should you confront him about it. But were you in that position. " He wouldn't do anything bad right. I mean I've known him enough in college. He never liked me either. But he's a mafia now."

You were in a tough dilemma but you ended up deciding to go with the flow. Because the moment you stepped in this house well not willing but you knew your in danger. The silly thing being that the one who brought you in danger were the ones who could save you too.

"let's just get ready first yeah"

With dress hugging your curves exactly you step out of the room taking deep breaths and praying everything ll turn out well.

I hate myself so much. I'm sorry extremely sorry to everyone interested in train to busan. I wrote my longest chapter yet it was amazing I stayed up the night but just when I was about to upload I clicked delete _2£6/*(£7#(£) ugh my heart is sinking right now. I ll re write but I'm not sure if it ll be as good. I don't know what to say except sorry.

You walked out into the living room to find no trace of anyone. Even after nearing the meeting room it was quite thinking nobody was inside you Whipped it open except everyone was seated in black attire. Unlike yesterday you seat in the empty chair next to Lee know's, previously owned by the fairy looking guy now sitting where you were yesterday.

" Take a seat yn"

"Let's start now that everyone is here, I.n"

I.n controlled the projected and the room filled with blue light coming from the screen and spreading over everyone's faces luminating them beautifully in the process.

"Let's get into the plan. Changbin"

Changbin rolled back and pulled out a paper roll from the cupboard behind.

Chan straighten the paper with his hands.

"Here, the office's window opens at the back. Me, Lee know and Changbin will climb from the back. The behind is covered in trees so Felix Hyunjin you hide in the bushes with your guns in case something goes wrong."

Now this is so different than what you had imagined. No dinner no date instead something what you had no clue about. Since you've come here they have left you confused more than you ever got in your anatomy class. What's with the dress anyway. Honestly you had started feeling shy and insecure. All the guys were dressed in tight black wear with harnesses probably to attach their guns and other weapons. You knew this was going to get dangerous even though it didn't sound yet.

"yn"

"yn?"

The leader called pulling you out of your thoughts.

"yeah?"

"You will enter the party and keep an eye on the members of their gang. Especially this one." you looked up at the blue haired young man he pointed at.

"he's their leader the one who's office your breaking into?"

"you're right Do not let them enter their 1st floor. Okay?"

You nodded hesitantly and he seemed to notice

" if your lucky enough they won't even come up." he added

" but stop them by if they do come up you can do this much right baby secret agent. You can even kiss them to shut them up okay?" Lee know said with a sly smile.

That stupid smile needs to be brushed off you yelled in your thoughts.

" YN what he means is you have to use any means possible to stop them." the leader interfered

" And mostly we ll require around 15 minutes only, once we are done and everyone is out seungmin will signal you through this anklet. It's electronic. You ll suffer an extremely small current and that's your clue to come out. Your task is then done. " he handed it over to you and you started putting it on still listening to him attentively.

" For this mission to be a success we need 3 things. Speed, accuracy and teamwork."

He said the last one looking at you right in the eye.

I want us three to climb up fast and save time I. N and seungmin to transfer files accurately and you three cover for us. Since its teamwork let's to the compliment sesh. Say one thing about the person to your left. "

"Lee know I'm less stressed on missions because I know you ll handle if anything goes south." he said with a soft smile.

"now Lee know to yn"

Pause.

You didn't think he would say anything you though he would just skip you and move onto han but no he's so much worse than you thought.

YN you remind me of a penny. Two faced and not worth much. He smiled as if he just didn't mock you.

At this point you weren't even surprised you turned to han. He smirked proud of what his hyung said he must have assumed you were speechless. But you took Lee know's words as motivation instead.

"han thank you for suggesting I. N tutoring that year if not I wouldn't be here alive right now."

He felt flustered for a minute until he regained his snarky face again "thank me tomorrow if you survive the night babyy."

The session continued but you were still stuck on Han's words. What does he mean by survive the night? You were even a simple task right? No need worry. Do they think you can't even do a such a simple task? Well then you definitely need to prove them wrong.

The sesh already over while half of them left to get their equipments checked.

"noona?"

You were so lost in your thoughts you didn't realise when jeongin sorry 'I.N' took a seat next to you.

"yeah innie? You know I finally understand why your hyungs used to call you Innie while your name was jeongin" you said dryly laughing and he couldnt understand how you could laugh when you're stuck in such a dangerous situation. An hour had passed and your anxiety had started kicking in. You were constantly playing with your fingers or fidgeting with the dress or peeking over lee know's shoulder to check the time. It was pretty obvious you were nervous to everyone.

While others including you burst into laughter. I. N handed you a coat to cover yourself as it started getting a little chilly. You pulled it over your back removing your hair outside the coat. When someone got you of guard with the sudden compliment "you look pretty.. Okay so go in with confidence okay." and you would only nod in reply.

The car came to a halt making you jerk in front. Chan protectively got your left shoulder while Lee know caught your right. Both retracted after making eye contact with you.

"Alright this is 10 mins away from the nct" announced Hyunjin from the driver's seat.

"yn this is your stop. There will be a red car outside get in that. He'll take you to nct and bring you back when we are done."

“𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒍” you said starting your 3rd Operation on a patient in the morning. You loved your job it made you feel important and something about it was thrilling (?). About an hour later You walked out of the operation theatre’s door and told the patients family members that their loved one is now stable and went to throw away the blood stained white golves and green coat. Ugh it was morning when you started well now it’s 1 pm that’s the lunch break! While eating you wondered 3 patients uptil now this was a sign that it ll be a long day.

The sigh during lunch wasn’t wrong you were moving in and out of the operation theatre faster than in and out burgers. It was already 9 pm one hour more and you ll be able to sleep on your cozy soft bed. while imaging your soft matteress your eyes were slowly closing and you were drifting to sleep. What wake you up was a huge shadow walking towards you but before your smart doc brain could work you instead opted to wake up and attack the person with the first thing you saw , a pen (?) . Taking long strides to a patient bleeding from the abdomine you told yourself" 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒔".

You growl loudly at your morning alarm still in bed tired over yesterday night you barely slept for 3 hours you should have stayed and slept in the hospital like normal doctors do but you can’t just sleep on that hard as rubber bed or your soft but small chair. Reminding that your saving your leaves for a vacation you get up wear the first thing you see a not so good looking outfit but your eyes are still dying to close so it goes unnoticed. One day with bad style is ok . Right ? Jay says no. Well jay isn’t here. So get your ass out. Going to the hospital’s cafeteria you get yourself a skimmed milk coffee. Your usual seat is near the window overlooking the garden but your exhaustion said no so you sat down on the nearest table right beside the nurses one.

Happily sipping on coffee on your usual seat now that all your exhaustion was gone just by planning on your 4 day trip.

As you were scrolling through secret beautiful places to visit in Busan you heard a familiar voice. You smiled raising your eyes from the screen to see jay. He was your friend from high school but in college because of your idc laid back attitude soon became a close friend. He sits down ordering a ice Americano. Ofcourse traveling means enjoying your journey to your destination and back so instead of taking a flight like a normal person you took a train to Busan.

After boarding a train early in the morning you and your lucky travel backpack reaches Busan in the afternoon. Going to have lunch was your priority. While enjoying the freshly caught octopus you wonder how gorgeous the sea and rocks would look under the moonlight.

Having a coffee after lunch is a must do thing for Koreans. It was almost evening when you were done drinking coffee and visiting the markets.

Now you were skipping in joy searching for the place you wanted to visit on Naver maps. You knew it wouldn’t go wrong but what you didn’t know was that something very wrong was happening near you .

Spear B jumping in front on chan and holding the buyer at gun point and Sam ready to pull the trigger anytime. You know something isn’t right something really wrong is about to happen you didn’t realise how scared you are until you’re hands start shaking making your phone slip as you bend to pick it up you freeze. Blood rushes and you stand still because now you know you’re not alone there. A pair of sharp eyes stare into yours. You start stepping backwards and he takes the steps forward. I.n smirks knowing his trick or rather spearb s trick is working. Cornering , stealing few belongings to fake a robbery and then shoting right into the skull.

You’re throats gone dry and you’re barely able to whisper a

“𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆.”

But he heard and he stopped?

Please you say a little louder than before now that he stood still just like you before. He can’t. He can’t do it not when he knows its who.

No he isn’t scared no he didn’t get hit by a sudden humanity guilt wave.

It was her voice which stopped his steps towards her. He then finally tried to get a look at her face in the darkness with only one flickering streetlight. But it was enough, enough for him to step back. Because he realised who it was. And he realised he couldn’t do what he was ordered to. As he tried to think of what he could do instead ,how he would explain to his hyungs.

Y/n calculated the steps there were between them. She thought he was a amateur and couldn’t k word someone. She waited. The other members of the gang now already gathered at the bank to welcome a very wet spearB and a faint girl who wasn’t as welcomed or not at all actually. All eyes glaring at him.

If only looks could kill he d be gone in an instant.

As Han opened his mouth to speak or atleast tried to.

Lee Minho yelled in annoyance.

Seungmin complained still not over the said thing which occurred months back. Well fortunately Lee know ended up with a neck bandage and seungmin with a hand fracture.

Lee know yelled in now more annoyance.

Meanwhile Hyunjin and changbin still pestering the maknae about y/n.

He said in his daegu accent. That means he’s real mad.

Chan asked now sincerely wanting to understand him.

After a pause chan finally said the words hyunjin was dying to hear.

Hidden princess, right you were one.you were they're hidden key. You were Nobody in their world knew about you yet you ve seen them all.

From that day you presented bangchan you're proposal. Since the day you completed your first mission.That day changed your life.

You go over to the window and look over "waah it's so high definitely made to kill the person trying to escape. You bented over and saw to your left" it's basically in the middle of nowhere, where would someone even escape from. You touch your head and run your fingers through your hair frustrated. "waah I'm in deep shit. You know what to do when your in deep trouble and don't know what to do."

You go towards your bed and climb up pulling the quilt up " you sleep".

You wake up to loud voices coming from outside probably the hallway. But the last thing you'd like is face them. Because you haven't found the answers to their allegations.

"Ahhh this is hard for me too" you shift in the bed. Just then the door opens and you freeze "please no please no"

And shuts close. You wait for a few minutes to confirm if now you've been left alone. And you were right the one who came probably jeongin thought you were sleeping so left you alone.

"people who don't wake others up while sleeping are the best"

"ahh what do I do now"

"He straight up called me useless. I-I'm useless? I'm literally a doctor excuse me like why so rude"

"Why was Changbin so rude he might not remember. At least chan showed signs of remembering me by calling my government name. That too for what? To scare me? Pfttt I'm not afraid of that aussie kangaroo. Right let's go talk to him now while my confidences still there. "

Grrr- your tummy makes a noise." After eating something! "

You step out of bed and run into the hallway when you heard someone talking. You stood near the open door trying to eavesdrop. Well it's not something a well mannered person would do but what if they were secretly planning your death ofcourse the door was kept open but why take risks when your surrounded by mafias.

"I'm sorry"

" Changbin? "

"binnie please don't"

"The new fluffy guy? "

You tried guessing their voices because you were too scared to look to be honest.

"I'm serious I don't want to do this but I don't have any other choices" Changbin said

Felix's voiced cracked while yelling "no! "

You finally looked inside to see Changbin putting a + 4 card on the table while felix is pretending to die(?)

I ran away going to the staircase because now your extremely hungry or hangry since the stupid thing they were playing wasted your time. However 2nd floor was louder so you went to check it was the 1st room the door left ajar again. This time you peaked in confidently yet carefully. There was han the one you knew from tutoring jeongin, the tallest angelic one the one who called you a burden and jeongin. Yelling and playing a video game.

" Am I in a boarding school with teens? "

"What"

You jumped at the sudden voice

It was chan right behind you hands in pockets of the black pants he wore with the signature black tank top.

"uhh nothing I-I um" you looked anywhere but him.

Grr- thankfully (?) your tummy grumpled again helping you escape his sudden question.

You looked up slightly in embarrassment

"do you want have ramyun"

"pardon"

" I don't mean that I- was going to cook for myself right that's why I was here" I look down again flustered. Today's really not your day.

"yes thanks. Kitchen's the next room"

You saw him smile today for the first time. It was nice. Just like the first time he gave you when he'd come to pick up jeongin.

He turned around mid walk "actually it would be nice if you make it 10"

"ohh of course" you say without thinking and rush towards the kitchen.

You switch on the lights. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators with a wooden table and cabinets.

"can we talk about me while eating? "

"10 ramyun! Waah am I his cook why do I need make 10 ramyun"

You boil water anyways.

"I ll give them the blandest food ever "

You yell while pouring in the flavorings

"but isn't Sesame oil red chili powder and green onions a must?"

You pout as you wonder if you should vent out your anger on food.

You add those too anyways. Foods food. No food to be harmed right?

A few minutes later the gang quietly settles down at the table while you stare at the ramyun threatening it to cook faster so you ll get out of the awkward situation faster.

" done" you kept one of the table following you Lee know and chan kept the rest too.

"thank you for the food" all said unanimously. Nothing except for its good compliment or sounds of slurping were heard and hence you didn't bring up your topic. Let's enjoy this peace for a while.

[Next morning]

You dressed in the clothes jeongin bought for you and prepared the proposal you thought over night.

You were reviewing it once more since you were confused to add that one more thing but you added it regardless.

" well there's no harm to add it"

With that you walked out of the hallway this time powerfully and knocked on the door jeongin said belonged to chan. His name on the door with black font 'CB97'

"what is this a password?"

" come in"

"good morning Mr.CB97" you smiled

"good morning but where did you find those clothes?

You looked at what you're wearing and there's nothing strange about it. Just a skirt with hood.

" jeongin gave me this why"

"that's mine"

Your smile dropped.

You started getting flustered again

You brought up your poker face again

"I ll return it but right now take a look at this" you handed him the page booklet you prepared.

"Full Time Doctor uh. " chan said rasing his eye brows at you. It would be a lie to say that the thought of you joining the gang didn't pass chan however he was worried if you were willing to.

You nodded.

"You know why we don't have a doctor?"

"No. But now you would. Thats what matters."

"Because we don't want unnecessary members. It's risky."

Your nervousness started increasing. But you didn't want to back out now.

"But what if someone gets severely injured? Isn't it common here?"

You said slamming your hands at his desk.

"The mafias these days don't intimidate people nowadays as the times are hard"

You rolled your eyes at how annoying the situation was turning into.

"yeah right. Your not the one who had a near to death experience because of anesthesia over dose."

You reminded him.

"You call it near death experience I call it vibe check from god and you're having it frequently". A voice said from behind you. You turned around to see the handsome man you now recognise as Lee know. You're eyes followed him around as he made his way besides chan. Still smiling in a flirtous way as he was still proud of his statement.

“That's ridiculous "you laughed.

After few awkward seconds you sighed releasing the breath you didn't know you were holding. And bent forward to turn the page over to point at the certain secret points you didn't want to do.

" Secret agent? "

You nodded looking away. Because as you knew from the movies it would be dangerous. Fun but dangerous.

"We already have those" Lee know said with a defending tone.

"Well everyone isnt gay. You ll need a female one too" you narrowed your eyes at him.

"cook too?" he asked reading the resume further.

"Good for me then. " Lee know cut you while speaking.

You replied and walked out as fast as you could.

"well we can't just straight up trust her and include her in the gang that's what our mafia rule is you have to pay the price for your actions."

You see a black blurry bag from the corner of your eye and whip your head in that direction. It was left on the rank near to the door.

You pulled the bag and turned it upside down instantly causing the contents inside fall out making clicking sounds.

A black dress slips down from the rank making a bundle at your feet. You bend over to pick it up and feel the expensive material in between your fingers. The clicking sound came from the black gem jewellery set now fallen on the glass rank. Shining more brightly due to its own reflection in the glass. You rush to stand in front of the mirror holding the dress as close as you can to yourself imagining how good you ll look.

You lay the dress on your bed carefully not to wrinkle it. Moving your hand throughly in the inside of the bag to see if you've missed anything and you were right when you feel a card and you pull it out.

You sat in the sedan and said hello to the driver to which he showed no sign of response. You started taking deep breaths to calm down your nerves. You recalled every cool action movie you watched but that just increased your nervousness more because this was real not fictional directed stuff where you know what will happen next.

You entered the place the layout seemed similar to the skz but with a bar in the middle and blue lights for some reason. You picked up a drink from the waiter for show you never know what they ll add. Moving inside you spotted the blue haired nct leader almost immediately. He met some guests small talk with some while long talk with others. And you followed him all around. Maybe too close.

And now you stopped to close. He ordered his drink at the bar and waited.

You felt eyes boaring at your back. Honestly you felt eyes were on you since the beginning but you thought it was because you look pretty according to I. N but he's kind so he maybe lying to ease you up.

Skz POV

"okay we are in" chan declared.

"Lee know SpearB check his cupboard for the file."

"sky I. N I'm inserting the pen drive to his computer"

"I logged in chan. I ll start transferring" they replied through the ear piece.

*5 minutes later *

"I didn't find anything chan"

"neither did I, they must have stored in the computer who uses written files anyway"

YN POV

The man's in front of you now right so it's fine to look around for a second. You were about to turn around to see the eyes of the boaring over your back but the sudden hand attached to your hip stopped you and you gasped in shock. The man himself was standing in front of you. You looked over his blue locks of hair trying to avoid eye contact. You weren't here to challenge him. You should be low key.

Your eyes wandered around his face stopping at the bruise near his eye.

" ah this. I kept this for you. Looks cool right."

You nodded raising your eyebrows up pretending to be absolutely interested in him.

"what's your name?"

He drank his remaining drink in one shot. Leading you away by your waist.

He waved and signalled something to the people around. But that was the least of your problem right now.

He took you at the staircase leading you up. Up, staircase? You panicked as you remembered your mission. Do not let him come up. The way they mocked at you don't want to fail. Also because they ll kill you if you do. Right the mocking. Lee know did suggest you something.

You were about to reach the end of stairs before you pulled him onto the wall and smashed your lips roughly.

Maybe you could pull him that easily because he wasn't prepared or alert not because you were strong because you weren't.

He was shocked for a moment before he started reciprocating. Hands roaming freely over you.

"hey can I go to the washroom Real quick" you didn't even him enough time to react as you brought his hands down yourself and rushed down not caring about the shoe you left mid stairs a classic cinderalla scene except he wasn't the Prince. You thought he he would watch you from back so you did go into the washroom. But now that you were in hiding how would you get out? You changed the entire room all cubicles there was no way to escape. You hit the one window near the mirror a couple of times with your one shoe it was unbreakable but your shoe was.

Skz POV

"hello?" the leader picked up his ringing phone

"oh I see good work you can leave"

He left a sigh disconnecting the call, rubbing his hands together

Changbin :"chan what happened?"

"yeah she's not there"

"what" all said unanimously

"he said she never came out"

Seungmin :"what happened?"

YN POV

You clenched your fists head down you need to move quick. " all the best"

It will be dangerous to wait here any longer. If the blue headed comes out I'm done for. You thought to yourselves as you started walking towards the direction you came from.

" I ll see the car mid way right? It's safer to be parked at distance anyway "

It was freezing cold would be an understatement. Thankfully the streetlights lit the way. You hugged yourself as tightly as you could. You were barefoot. And you swear your legs were about to give up and fall off. It's been 10 minutes since you've started and there's no sign of that freaking car you were dying to see.

Thoughts began to cloud your mind. Did they ditch you? leaving you here stranded. It's been so long should you go back to the nct leader and ask for help? I. N did say to trust them. You walked out into the living room to find no trace of anyone. Even after nearing the meeting room it was quite thinking nobody was inside you Whipped it open except everyone was seated in black attire. Unlike yesterday you seat in the empty chair next to Lee know's, previously owned by the fairy looking guy now sitting where you were yesterday.

" Take a seat yn"

"Let's start now that everyone is here, I.n"

I.n controlled the projected and the room filled with blue light coming from the screen and spreading over everyone's faces luminating them beautifully in the process.

"Let's get into the plan. Changbin"

Changbin rolled back and pulled out a paper roll from the cupboard behind.

"Here, the office's window opens at the back. Me, Lee know and Changbin will climb from the back. The behind is covered in trees so Felix Hyunjin you hide in the bushes with your guns in case something goes wrong."

Now this is so different than what you had imagined. No dinner no date instead something what you had no clue about. That stupid smile needs to be brushed off you yelled in your thoughts.

" And mostly we ll require around 15 minutes only, once we are done and everyone is out seungmin will signal you through this anklet. It's electronic. You ll suffer an extremely small current and that's your clue to come out. Your task is then done. " he handed it over to you and you started putting it on still listening to him attentively.

" yeah if it makes you feel any better Lee know almost shot han on his first mission. " explained seungmin hiding behind I. N from Lee know' scary glare . While others including you burst into laughter. I. N handed you a coat to cover yourself as it started getting a little chilly. You pulled it over your back removing your hair outside the coat. When someone got you of guard with the sudden compliment "you look pretty.. Okay so go in with confidence okay." and you would only nod in reply.

The car came to a halt making you jerk in front. Chan protectively got your left shoulder while Lee know caught your right. Both retracted after making eye contact with you.

"Alright this is 10 mins away from the nct" announced Hyunjin from the driver's seat.

"yn this is your stop. There will be a red car outside get in that. He'll take you to nct and bring you back when we are done."
