Para Mercedes, en su pequeña vida rural, acaban de empezar las vacaciones de verano. Las libélulas zumban, las cigarras cantan y el calor matinal escuece las pieles curtidas por el trabajo en el campo, lo cotidiano por la zona. Pero un sueño lo empieza a trastocar todo: Una chica de fuego la llama, y le pide que vaya con ella. Y Mercedes acepta.

Esta historia procuraré que sea lo más apto para todo publico posible, digamos que podría tener el tono de las novelas de Percy Jackson pero un poco más dramático e igual de queer. (ahre jeje)
Publicaré el primer capítulo, estoy pensando de publicar el resto, pero aquí será para más que nada explicar el avance de la historia y notificar las actualizaciones, ¡intentaré estar lo más activa posible!
La historia está inspirada en las escapadas que hacíamos con mi papá a su casa de campo y como era allí. También bebe muchísimo de la cultura argentina, mezclado con mucha fantasía obvio.

I'm glad to see that there are sisters who actually believe this. Too many times I've heard friends who I know are transitioning relate conversations they've had with other lesbian women. There seems to be an attitude among some in the lesbian community that a transitioned woman is still a male and therefore cannot be a lesbian. I find this is a closed minded view. If a person is willing to go through everything they do in order to remove themselves from the male dominated world and put themselves in a place where they are seen and treated the same as any other woman, they should be applauded, praised and accepted for their journey. Women, especially Lesbians should embrace these women for they realize the beauty and strength of our community.

before i realized i was a lesbian i never cared about dating. i never wanted to go out on dates and in my head i’d make excuses for it like, “well, i’m focused on school right now” or “i wanna focus on MYSELF right now” and “there will be time for all of that later on, i’m in no hurry!” like i was definitely in no rush to be in a relationship. and the thought of getting married or having kids just made me feel annoyed and sad. i would tell my friends that i NEVER EVER wanted to get married.
but then when i realized and accepted the fact that i liked girls, EVERYTHING changed. i suddenly wanted to be in a relationship SO BADLY it hurt, i wanted to find a gf immediately, and i felt disappointed that i hadn’t spent my early teen years going out with girls. the thought of getting married and having kids with another woman made me feel happy and a little wistful. and i don’t know i just think it’s kinda funny that for so many years i just thought i had zero interest in dating, marriage, and kids when in reality…i just didn’t want any of those things with a MAN.
Lesbianism is just like, “I never understood the appeal of [romantic/sexual/other mundane act] until I realized I could do it with a woman”

and all other types of lesbians I can't think of right now, all of you are valid and loved <3
i’m so glad (tv show) heartstopper explicitly said that tara and darcy were lesbians multiple times because it’s so rare to actually see women on screen CALL themselves lesbians instead of just being ambiguous about their sexuality
lesbians in media are always made to be ambiguously queer and it’s so rare that a character will actually use the word lesbian to describe themselves. some characters in movies and tv are so SO lesbian coded. they never state that they like men, they only get into relationships with women, but they will never use the word lesbian. it’s gotta stop getting the ‘dirty word’ treatment because it isn’t a dirty word it’s literally just a sexuality
lesbian is not a dirty word, it’s okay for people to call themselves lesbians
That single queer person moment when you finish watching or reading some lgbtq+ media and then feel that deep profound yearning and sadness for something you have never experienced and may never experience.
