She lets out a choked sound that somewhere in between a sob and a laugh.
"Thank you."
She continues to hold onto him even after she's calmed down more.

After he kisses her on the forehead she pulls back so she can cup his face in her hands. She stares into his eyes for a moment before she kisses him.
"Can we go sleep in your room? I want to be able to cuddle with you better.."
She also is hoping that being in a room that smells like him will help her sleep better.

Jade thought it was cute that DJ still blushed when they kissed. She lets out a surprised squeak when he carries her off towards his room. There's not much else she can do besides wrap her arms around his neck.

She takes some time to look around the room when he enters. She'd been curious about how he kept his room compared to the rest of the house.
"Are you going to join me?"
She already feels more relaxed here. She can tell that this is where DJ spends a decent amount of time, the scent of sandalwood is thicker here than in the other parts of the house she's been in. It's comforting to be surrounded by it.

Jade cuddles up in his arms, sighing softly.
"Much better! I might even be able to get some sleep in between all these nightmares."

She leans into the kiss, inhaling the scent of sandalwood as she does.
"Thank you for staying by my side. It really means a lot to me."
She cuddles closer so that her head rests on his chest, wrapping her arms around him. "You smell good." She mumbles shortly before she falls asleep.
Several hours go by this time before she begins to have another nightmare. She thrashes around in DJ's arms, a scream tearing itself from her throat before she begins to whimper loudly.

Fire, there was fire everywhere. It seemed to be coming from every direction. Jade was currently reliving the time she had been sent to kill the Char Man. She had been separated from Dante and had ended up trapped. The fire was getting closer and closer to her. It was getting harder to breathe with all the smoke and she could feel the heat from the fire on her skin.
She doubled over, coughing, sucking on what little air she could. She looked around as she began to hear and smell something other than the fire and smoke. She closes her eyes, listening. She could hear someone speaking to her, which was strange because she was alone.
She focused on the voice she was hearing and realized that it was DJ. She followed the sound of his voice, the smell of sandalwood helping to ease the nightmare from her mind. She stills in his arms, only shifting to snuggle closer to his chest, her arms tightening around him. His name leaves her lips on a sigh before she slips peacefully back to sleep again.
