Request 1: Jungkook Jungkook has an obsession with his girlfriend's butt.
A/N: First solo Yoongi fic ^^^^^ (inspo above)
"I swear this is the last time I'm dealing with Ty's ass." Kiki sucked on her strawberry-flavored lollipop. "I'm so sick of these girls running up on me at the salon. Like, I'm tryna be professional and shit."
"I told you to stop messing around with his funky ass."
The two girls were riding around in Kiki's Ford Focus. It was peak summer and the girls had just left the hair salon. Sporting their new micro braids. The sun was getting ready to set from the seven hours they had missed, glamming up their look. They stopped by Ty's place, so Kiki could get her stuff.
"Girl look at this, even got another bitch's car. Thinking I wouldn't be home to see." Entirely determined, Kiki abruptly parked the car, swinging upon her driver's door. Her mini heels stomped up the driveway as she fiddled with her keys at the front door.
For Ty's sake, that car better belong to some distant female relative. Kiki had served time before, allowing for a misdemeanor. But when ticked off, her rationale went out the window.
Ebony flipped up her compact mirror, checking out her makeup. Her eyebrows were thinly arched, lips glossy and purely kissable. All day, she's been getting compliments from neighborhood aunties. Claiming that she looked like the daughter of Nia Long and Megan Good. It would be a lie to say it didn't inflate Ebony's ego.
She was a fine sista, no shame in stating the obvious. Her breasts sat nicely in her tube top, and her pelvic bone was slightly exposed in her waisted jeans. It would be a shame for her not to show the world her beauty. Treasures like that should be shared.
"I'm on your ass now!" Kiki busted open the door, yelling into the home. "Tyrone Curtis Jenkins! Bring your ass down here you cheatin ass nigga! And that tramp!"
Laughing to herself, Ebony knew she was about to have a hilarious story to tell her other girlfriends. Kiki was the crazy hot chick that all the guys loved, that was until they realized how genuinely crazy she is.
"Lil mama."
Ebony didn't hear the voice calling out to her, til he was directly outside her window. Having people walk up on her, when she was alone always made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. It didn't help that the man walking up to the car was a man.
"Lil mama. Can I spit at you?"
Shrugging her shoulders, Ebony continued to touch up her edges. If she stayed in this heat for much longer, the grease would trail down her face.
"I've never seen a woman like you before.
"You've never seen a sista before? Feast your eyes upon the one and only." Her hands scaled her body. The cups of her breast almost spilled out of her top. Her cupid's bow was well-defined by the black lip liner. The Jersey accent was strong on Ebony's pronunciation of words.
Confidence was a major turn-on for Yoongi. It meant that you were proud of your authentic self. Yoongi was drawn to the character, in all his past relationships, looks were at the forefront of his decision to talk, date, or even fuck a woman. After being single for over a year, he rearranged his priorities. Luckily the woman before him would check off two boxes simultaneously.
"Can I speak to you properly? Roll your window down, please." Eyeing him, Ebony slowly rolled down the passenger window. She rested her chin on the back of her hand, on the edge of the widow. Her curly hazel looked up at Yoongi. "Speak, papa, say it from your chest."
Ebony loved watching Yoongi fidget under her gaze. It gave her a thrill to flirt with men. It was entertainment for her. A flutter of her eyes and simple eye contact had this man ready to break his tough-guy act. Ebony couldn't help but notice the thick silver Cuban link tucked under his purple hoody.
"You already calling me daddy. I haven't even done anything yet." Yoongi was flushed, pulling at the Cuban link; now it rested on his hoody. He leaned over on the car, his hand a few inches away from her own.
"Cornball."
"But seriously, I just wanted to say how beautiful you are, and I would like to take you out."
"Is that so."
"Only if you allow for it, mama."
Ebony looked the man up and down. Liking what she saw. His cologne was potent yet addictive. A balance of fresh and mint. Ebony wanted to pull the handsome man in for a hug.
"I'll take you up on that offer. Lemme see your hand." Rolling up his sleeve, Yoongi had to bite his lip to hide his excitement. His boys had been talking about Kiki's best friend.
Ebony didn't fuck with scrubs. She had a reputation for dating rich or high-profile men only. Never paying attention to the lowlives that were over-represented in their community. While a lot of these men were friends of Yoongi. He could recognize that he was in a different category than them. Music was his passion, and his hard work was paying off. He had much more wealth to show up, but he was a humble bragger, so he only wore his $70,000 silver Cuban link.
In true Ebony fashion, she wrote the ten digits on the palm of his hand.
"That is only for you. Not any of the homeboys. Got that, papa."
Kiki was storming just as angrily out of the house in perfect timing. Articles of clothing drop out of her hand. Her hips were twitching with each step. Eyes red with fury.
"I'll call you." Yoongi needed no other explanation that now was not the time to keep flirting with Ebony. He's seen that same angry look in Kiki's eyes. She's absolutely insane and didn't want to be a victim to her temper.
"I can't believe him. I really can't believe him." Tears flooded out of the corner of her eyes. She was full-on wailing, hyperventilating, trying to explain what she saw to Ebony.
"Shhh, don't cry babe." Ebony soothed her friend.
"No- I won't let him get me worked up like this. He doesn't deserve these tears. That no good chauvinist."
Hopping right back out of her car. She took off her heel, smashing it into the four-door car in the driveway. Each swing, shards of glass littered the pavement.
"Kiki, what the fuck!" Ty's deep voice rang out as he watched in shock at the destruction unfold. "This bitch is crazy."
"Your mother." She seethed. "Kiss my ass." She flung her shoe at Ty before returning to her car, hauling ass out of Ty's neighborhood.
I really love your stories sm idk if you take requests or not but if you are could I request where Jungkook won’t stop smacking and grabbing his girlfriends butt (we all know he’s an ass man i can 100% confirm that ☝🏽🤓)
Agreed, agreed. Jungkook may not be touchy in public, but in private. Heh well that's a different story.
Pairing: Jennette x Jungkook
*this is just the outfit Jennette is in*
"I hate the cold so much," Jennette muttered to herself. She had gotten up twice in the past two minutes to grab a thicker blanket. The thermostat read 67 degrees, but it felt like the Arctic. Winters in Korea were no joke. She yearned for nothing else than for the Georgia heat. After taking the next big step in their relationship. Jennette made the big move across two large oceans to Busan. Her adjustment period was much quicker than that of other Americans moving to a homogenous country. She had her boyfriend Jungkook, his friends, and her co-workers. Who knew South Korea was in desperate need of social workers. Jennette worked for a private multi-million fertility adoption clinic. Ensuring that children who were in foster care went to good homes. She loved her job, the people she worked with, and the couple extra hundred dollars in her biweekly paycheck.
After another week of going to the office, Jennette and Jungkook decided to host a game night. It was a tradition that started six months ago that the two couples and Yoongi would hang out with each other at least once a month.
She had Twister, Cards Against Humanity, Game of Life, and Uno across the glass table in her living room. Earlier in the week she deep cleaned the carpet. So she could just relax and wait for her guest and Jungkook to arrive. With perfect timing, Jungkook's key chains rocked against the door, announcing his return.
"I got the pasta, baby." Jennette had been talking about her favorite cheesy pasta dish at the local Italian mom-and-pop shop. It was loaded with four different types of cheeses. The pasta was made in-house and beautifully cut into an angel hair shape she loved, along with the prestigious garlic bread with just enough crunch.
"Thank you so much, bug." Handing her the bag, Jennette took a moment to allow the thin paper bag to sit on her lap. Enjoying the transfer of heat from the food onto her thighs. She relaxed into the couch, slowly transcending into heaven.
"The girls texted me not long ago. They are crossing the bridge, so they should be here soon."
"Okay."
Coming back from the kitchen, Jungkook admired Jennette's form. She is beyond a blanket burrito status. All you could see was the round puff of her cheeks and her purple glasses. Two thick comforters wrapped around her head from head to toe.
"Baby, are you that cold?"
She couldn't even respond to the simple question due to her uncontrollable teeth chattering. Motioning her to come to him. Like a cricket, Jennette was rubbing her feet together. Attempting anything to get some warmth.
"Its to- too cold."
"Lemme warm you up." He leaned over and flipped the switch, igniting the fireplace in the living room. The fire put on a warm glow on Jungkook's olive skin.
"You have two minutes." It took Jennette a couple of seconds to untangle herself from the wrap of blankets. Shuddering over to Jungkook, she hugged him. Her hands slipped past his denim jacket and touched his warm, bare skin. Jungkook had to control himself from jumping at the cold touch. He placed his head horizontally over hers. Jungkook rarely had an issue with skinship. He was going to take any chance he had to be in Jennette's personal space. If he could shrink himself to fit in her skin, best believe he would.
Jennette sunk her head so that her face was in front of his abdomen. Her lower back was now low enough for Jungkook to get the perfect view of her butt crack.
Jungkook took it upon himself to rub her butt is a soothing manner. Jennette was too busy soaking in the warmth to nag him about his frisky hands. Jungkook used the palm of his hands to rub her behind in a circular pattern. This would have put her to sleep if they weren't expecting their friends to arrive in a few minutes. The couple stood in a comfortable silence, slightly rocking. Jennette couldn't lie and say that Jungkook was an efficient heater. She squeezed him tighter.
"I don't know how you can remain so warm. YOO! WHAT THE FUCK!" Jennette screamed, holding onto her pants. Jungkook, slightly embarrassed, hid the smile growing on his lips.
"Sorry baby I got carried away."
In one swift motion, Jungkook's big hands took an oversized grip on her ass. He lifted Jennette off the ground with all his strength, effectively startling her. Calming down, she swatted his chest.
"I gotta keep my eye on you." Jennette laughed off the manner, not knowing what more the night and Jungkook would have to offer.

The six adults were in an intense round of Twister. Jungkook and Nala were already out for not keeping their hands on the designated color. Now, it was just Yoongi, Hoseok, and Jennette. Hoseok looked like a cool cucumber. Twister was simply a flexibility test to him. A piece of cake. He was glad he was pretty limber, or this bridge position would have been challenging to hold. He now had to move his left foot to a yellow dot just an inch away from where it originally was.
"Ha! Easy."
Now it was Jennette's turn. Out of the three of them, she was in the most accessible position. She was a simple upright position with her legs slightly spread. Yoongi was hunched over with one hand touching the mat. The spinner was behind her, so she asked Jungkook to flick the spinner for her.
"Ooo, left hand on blue." Nala cheesed.
Jennette gulped, assuming a downward dog position. She could only maintain this position for a few seconds until her right hand could be another circle. Preferably another blue circle. Trying to keep her balance, her hips swayed in the hair. Catching the lingering eyes of Jungkook. From this angle, nothing was stopping Jungkook from staring. Sipping on his beer, he found himself in deep thought.
Did Jennette's butt get bigger?
Jungkook looked like that meme of the woman with math equations floating across her face. The further he lingered on his girlfriend's curves, the more complicated it would be for him to pretend to be expected in front of his friends. But genuinely, he was confused. The loungeset was naturally baggy. Even her pants pooled at her ankles. Yet it appeared to become body-contouring at certain parts. Her thighs and butt to be particular. There was no panty line shown in her pants. Just the upper fatty portion of her behind. It was a sunrise over flat land. All you can see is how big and wide the sun truly is. There are no trees or buildings to shrink the overgrown star.
Her butt must have really gotten bigger.
Letting his impulses get the best of him, Jungkook popped Jennette's behind. The force was enough to get Jennette to break formation, eliminating her from the game.
"Jungkook!"
"One down, one more to go."
"That's not fair!"
"Don't be a sore loser, babe. Come join us at the loser couch."
Hoseok was okay with the obvious Jungkook interference. He was too competitive to care about 'fairness'. Out was out, and he now stood a more substantial chance at winning. In his eyes, Jungkook just helped his case by eliminating Jennette.
" You're the worst." She folded her arms now watching the battle between Yoongi and Hoseok.
<3 <3 <3 <3
"Alright, what is up with you?" Jennette pulled Jungkook into the kitchen away from their friends' sitting, watching a cheesy Hallmark Thanksgiving film.
"What do you mean? I'm not doing anything."
"Your hand was literally down my pants." He wasn't being completely inappropriate. He was tired of massaging the fabric of her lounge pants. He wanted to touch the real thing. He had to ensure that his eyes weren't playing tricks about the actual size of Jennette's ass. So he slid his hand down her pants, rubbing her bare behind.
Jennette stuck her head out, ensuring her friends were still watching the movie. She could see that they were dozing off. Yoongi's eyes were closed, and his baseball cap covered his eyes.
"You don't want me to touch you? That's all you had to say."
"No, it's not that. It's just- well. You are typically more reserved with your touches, especially in front of others."
"You're beauty had just been hitting different baby. I don't want to take it for granted."
"I literally look the same Jungkook."
"Your pants say otherwise. You've been filling out your pants, baby."
"Nig- boy shut up. Stop playing."
"I'm serious. You getting thick on me." Jungkook new what words to blow up Jennette's head with. For all of her adult life, she was on the slimmer side. A 'skinny fat'. The weight that she did gain went to her thighs, skipping her ass entirely. Now hearing from Jungkook that her butt was getting bigger, she was feeling herself.
"Are you sure." She spun around to examine her own butt.
While standing in the kitchen, she fixed herself another scoop of the cheesy pasta that she had yet to finish earlier.
"Before, I only needed one hand, but now I need two. Almost a third hand."
Jennette busted out laughing. Jungkook tapped Jennette's butt rhythmically. Playing with her ass like there were literal bongos (no Cardi or Meg)
Taking her spoon, she gathered a generous amount. She held the spoon ready to feed Jungkook. He opened his mouth and accepted. Moaning at the four different cheeses.
"See? It's so good." She alternated feeding him and herself. Yet again Jungkook's hands found themselves on her butt. Grabbing handfuls of her butt, with not a care in the world.
XOXO
(now cleaned up)
Hush Little Baby Don't Say A Word {Mockingbird}
Pairing: Jennette x Jungkook
<3 <3 <3 <3
Seventy-two hours since Jennette carried her chunky nine-pound newborn across the threshold to her house. The house was decorated in the prettiest purple lilac. Before the little peanut was born, her nursery color would be lilac. Courtesy of her father and her doting uncles. Jennette never entirely understood the men's fascination with purple but didn't fight too hard. Besides, she was too busy gushing over the arrival of her baby.
This is contrary to how peanuts entered the world, quiet and tight-lipped. She was now showing off her vocal range. Her pale fists were tightly clenched as she mindlessly swung her legs in her crib. Her cry was mellow but drawn out. Like a whine, like a soft whimper. Jennette stood above the crib, just dumbfounded. She had fed Peanut ten minutes ago, so she knew she couldn't have been hungry. Her diaper was dry, and she had bounced around the house six times.
She didn't like Peanut crying in general. But not this cry when it sounded so sad. Jennette watched the hours dwindle before she would need to get up and take Peanut to the pediatrician for her checkup. Why did she choose an early morning appointment.
Lifting the tiny girl out of her crib, she placed her cheek on her cheek. Whispering words of love to the crying child. Not totally calmed down, peanut whined. Wrapping the baby blanket around Peanut, Jennette left the nursery. There was a dim glow from the overhead stove light that they always left on. In the pitch black, it would be ten times more likely to stub your toe on one of the pieces of furniture.
Perfect timing, Jungkook closed the front door behind him as quietly as possible. He was held up at the gym longer than he wanted to, and was desperate to come home and see his little Peanut. Not even annoyed at Jungkook's hour of arrival, Jennette smiled upon seeing him place his gym bag at the front door. His hands extended, ready to hold his daughter, when a light bulb went off his head.
"Hold on let me wash my hands and change shirts." Jennette had never seen Jungkook run up the stairs so fast. She 'shhh' Peanut still ambling, her gently in her arms.
"Don't switch up now that your daddy is home." Jennette littered her child's cheek with kisses. In the few days that she's been a mother, she just felt the overwhelming need to shower Peanut in affection. Never missing the opportunity to hold her in her arms, hug her, or kiss her cheeks.
"Gimme my baby." Jungkook, in a plain white t-shirt, opened his palms for Peanut.
"Come here, sweet girl. I missed you so much. So so much."
Jennette awed at the father-daughter interaction. Her eyes took mental pictures of the image. Peanut's head rested on Jungkook's broad chest. Her fists no longer bawled, and she no longer whined.
"So that's who you were calling for? You missed your daddy." Switching her weight to one foot, Jennette folded her arms.
"Go ahead and get some rest. I know her appointment is in a few."
Jennette kissed her forehead one last time and waved goodnight to her child and lover. Keeping quiet until he knew Jennette was up the stairs, Jungkook spook quietly to Peanut.
"It's okay, Peanut, you can always call for me. Your mama is just jealous. I'll always be there for you."

Jungkook During the 40 Weeks of Pregnancy
Finding Out
Jennette didn't experience the typical signs of pregnancy. No morning sickness, no excessive weight gain, no mood swings. Nothing like that at all. She was perfectly fine. She was taking down the silver and gold Christmas-themed tree in February. Still in her festive onesie, Jungkook noticed something quite odd. An open jar of smooth peanut butter.
"You bought peanut butter?"
Taking a big lick from the spoon, Jennette nodded her head.
"Babe you can't stand peanut butter. You literally gag at the smell. Now your eating it straight of the jar."
"I don't know why, but I've been craving it. The smell isn't bothering me right now."
"Are you sick?" Jungkook placed the back of his head on Jennette's forehead.
"I'm fine."
Jungkook found that moment weird, but didn't harp on it. Maybe she was giving peanut butter another chance. Surely that was just the explanation. But it didn't stop there. More peanut butter treats arrived in the house in the next few weeks. Nutter Butters, Reeses Cups, and an unhealthy amount of peanut butter jelly sandwiches.
Jungkook watched in awe as Jennette ate her fifth Reeses in one sitting. The empty wrappers were piling beside her, as she watched an old episode of Martin.
"Jungkook I can literally feel your eyes glaring holes into my face."
"Jeanie are you sure nothing is wrong? Like you aren't hiding anything from me."
"I'm not sick, Jungkook. I'm not coughing, no sore throat, and no fever. I'm literally fine- stop asking."
Six hours later while Jennette was lying in bed, Jungkook lay on his back, deep in thought. The amount of peanut butter products Jennette had been consuming in the past three weeks was absurd. How could she go from gagging at the smell of the ingredient to finishing family-size jars by herself in three days. Jungkook needed to get to the bottom of this. Slipping out of bed, Jungkook went to the 24/7 pharmacy. He went up and down the aisles, hoping to find some fancy brand to explain the eating habits shift.
Tylenol?
Advil?
Metamucil?
No no no.
Soon enough, he found himself of the family planning aisle. In front of him were three rows of Clear Blue pregnancy tests. His heart skipped a beat as he contemplated picking up the pregnancy test.
Better safe than sorry.
The drive back to the house seemed longer, despite him going ten over the speed limit.
"Jeanie... Jeanie baby, wake up." He gently rocked Jennette awake.
"Go away." She yawned turning on her side. She nuzzled into her pillow.
"I need you to take this test for me."
"What test?" Jennette's cracked.
"Just take it."
Irritated, Jennette squinted as she sat up. She slipped her feet into her slippers. She headed into their shared bathroom beside their bedroom. There, she saw a pregnancy test on the counter. Her lips ready to fire off.
"Please just take it. I can't help but think this could be why you have been acting so different lately."
Closing the door, Jennette just went with the motions. Taking the test and peeing on the stick. She wasn't even anxious about the results in the slightest. She wanted to just get back in her bed, before her spot of warmth disappeared.
"Are you done!?"
Jennette washed her hands and opened the door. Jungkook had the edge of his thumb in between in teeth. A soothing habit he only did when he was highly anxious.
Jennette adjusted her bonnet slightly, slipping of her head. She went into her nightstand and put on her signature purple glasses. She couldn't read the test because of her astigmatism in both eyes. The lines would be moving too much for her to read the test accurately.
"See, look, one line." The thin second line arrived as she turned the test to gloat in front of Jungkook.
"Oh fuck."
"Wha-. shitttt." Jennette did a double take, seeing the positive pregnancy test.
Weeks 7-10
The next day Jeannette and Jungkook scheduled an appointment at the doctors office. She got her pre-natal vitamins and an official test done. They found out that they were seven weeks pregnant. The couple wasn't actively trying for a kid, but they were't devastated by the news. They were 29 respectively and could now use the next seven-ish months to prepare themselves for parenthood.
During this time they got their first sonogram. Jungkook was moved to tears and asked for several copies of the picture. One of them going in his car, one on the back of his phone, and the other in his night stand. The picture was so precious to him
It was only one time Jennette experienced morning sickness. She blames the vertigo spell for pushing her over the edge. She was doing perfectly fine, but when she was riding in an elevator one morning. She got nauseous all of a sudden. She told Jungkook, and he ordered her to take it easy for the rest of the day.
Weeks 11-14
This is when the nickname Peanut came about. Now, reaching the end of the first trimester, Jennette and Jungkook was looking at their developing child on the screen. Jungkook could point out their eyes, and tiny toes.
"Looks like this angel is gonna be on the chunky side." The OBGYN commented.
"Their so cute, though. Look at ‘em."
Moving around the wand on Jennette's small belly, they looked at all angles.
"What are they doing doing, doctor?" Jungkook wondered.
"Oh just sucking their thumb."
Jungkook gushed harder at the screen. "Look at our little Peanut."
Weeks 15-18
Time for the long-awaited gender reveal. Jennette and Jungkook opted to keep this moment more intimate. They didn't want a crazy gender reveal party. They were going to keep the gender of their little Peanut a surprise until she was born. But they still had to create a memorable experience.
Surprisingly both Jennette and Jungkook believed that they were having a baby girl. The April weather allowed for Jennette to wear a baby pink shirt and skirt set. Her bump was protruding more, especially from a side-profile perspective. Jungkook was wearing a pink button-up jacket. White t-shirt with pink pants to match. He found this really cute plushy online called 'Cooky'. It was a pink bunny, a perfect gift for the little girl he hoped to have.
"Are you ready to find out the gender of your baby?"
"Yes!" The answered at the same time.
Applying the cold gel on Jennette's belly, the doctor handed the wand to Jungkook. Allowing him to do the honors. He grasped the wand, eyes wide-looking for any declaration of the child's biological sex.
"Wait slow down, bug. Go a little more to the left." Jennette guided. The angle they were looking at they could only see her legs and stomach.
In a gasp of excitement, Jennette saw the outline of a labia majora. Stronger than she anticipated, she gripped Jungkook's shoulder and shook him.
"We're having a baby girl! OMG! OMG!"
“Peanuts a girl! She’s a girl! I’m a girl dad !!!”
Jungkook jumped up and down. The wand was long forgotten as it hit the ground. The OBGYN enjoyed watching the couple celebrate their baby girl.
Week 19- 22
Jungkook was very protective over Jennette's now obvious baby bump. Whenever they were out in public together, he walked slightly in front of her. Avoiding from touchy strangers, placing their filthy hands on her stomach. Only he could touch Jennette's stomach. His little peanut was inside, and he was obligated to protect her, and her mother of course.
On a lazy Sunday morning, Jungkook was playing with Peanut. Jennette was able to feel her kicking, and her moving around in her stomach. Her baby was quite receptive to her father's voice. Jungkook would stand on one side of Jenentte and speak. Watching the little imprints of hands and feet press against her stomach. Indiciating that Peanut was following her father's voice.
"Oh Toodles." Jennette jokingly tapped her stomach. Jungkook was coming closer to her, to do his daily quality time with his baby. She felt a flutter in response.
"Peanut. Come to me sweet girl."
"Ooo!" Jennette reacted to the sudden dart across her stomach.
"That may have been the fastest she's moved." Jennette paused in between her words. Her little Peanut was developing some speed, which always tired her. Even though she hadn't moved a muscle.
"Okay come to this side." And peanut did. Jungkook capturing the moment on his phone.
"I'm for sure showing her this when she's older." He snickered. "Okay I'm over here now."
Week 23-26
Jennette and Jungkook were sitting a frozen yogurt creamery looking at another sonogram picture of their little Peanut. They had gotten a really nice close-up of Peanut's face. Her lips and eyes were well-seen in the image.
"Peanut will be the first person in my family who is bald."
"Everyone in my family is born bald. Including me.” Jungkook commented. He dug deep into his camera roll finding an image of him when he was just a few days old.
"Oh-" Failing to hold in her laughter, Jennette's stomach shook with a violent laugh. Poor Peanut probably thought she was on a roller coaster.
"Most black babies I've seen were born with a head full of hair. It would explain why I don't have heartburn." Doing the same Jennette pulled up a picture of herself when she was a baby. She was born with a mini afro, just like her mother and her sister.
"But look I can already tell she has your eyes. I just know they are gonna be so pretty."
Jungkook agreed. "I make some pretty babies."
"I make pretty babies." Jennette emphasized.
"Can't argue with that baby." Jungkook took a scoop of Jennette's yogurt. "I hope she looks like you."
"I hope so too."
"Just because you said that, Peanut will look just like her daddy." Jungkook kissed her belly. His tattooed hand rubbed over the now darker vertical line running down her bump.
Leaving the yogurt shop, Jungkook and Jennette walked around the area, getting some exercise. Like an excited dad, Jungkook told random strangers he passed about his "twin".
"My twin is in there."
"She only has four more months left."
Week 27-30
Jennette is super clumsy. Don't hand her anything fragile that can break. She has butter fingers unlike ever before. Jungkook had to move the precious pottery to the top of the cabinets. No way would she step on a ladder to get it, so it would require Jungkook to assist you.
"Bug you up?"
Jungkook had a tough training session in the gym and was trying to take a cat nap on the couch. It was 2 am and he believed that Jennette had already been sleep.
"Huh? What's wrong? Peanut good?"
"Yes, she's good. A craving is just hitting me."
"Peanut butter is in the pantry. You can reach it." Jungkook pouted his lips, looking so adorable in Jennette's eyes. She felt bad for waking him up.
"But I kinda want something different. I'm sorry baby."
"Don't apologize. I got you." With one eye barely open, Jungkook got the sweet treat Jennette had been craving. Being the good boyfriend that I knew he would be.
Week 33-36
Peanut's baby shower was a busy affair. Jennette's side of the family flew out to Korea. Her parents, grandma, and her little sister Asia were all able to come. Jungkook's parents handled all the food matters for the party. Jennette was hanging up some decor on the walls.
Jennette felt as big as a house. She looked exhausted and greasy. New growth from her braids were taking over her scalp. The August heat was not making her feel any better. She was already constantly warm with a growing child in her belly. The external temperature of high 80s didn't help either.
It was smart for her to get dressed later in the day, as she would have sweated out her yellow sundress. Instead, she was in her comfy maternity shorts that were extra-large. Cream-colored stretchmarks ran rampant across the surface of her stomach. She hasn't been able to see her feet in the past month or so. She could only imagine what her feet looked like.
Jungkook came down the stairs. Blothes of paint on an old graphic T-shirt. "Baby, there you are. I have something to show you." Jungkook was cheery this morning despite the few hours of sleep he got. He waited at the airport to pick of Jennette's family before coming home around 2 am.
"Come look." Jungkook gently dragged Jennette up the stairs. He had been cooped upstairs with his friends for the last four hours.
"Voila!"
Peanut's crib was set up along the purple-colored walls. There were small animals along the wall. The purple went along nicely with the accent color of white. White flowers were thinly painted, creating a beautiful garden of flowers. Which all came ahead above where Peanut's crib was.
"Bug I love it!" Not wanting to cry, Jennette felt so moved by everything she saw. The nurse was so homey for their Peanut. The carpet was soft, a mobile spun slowly.
"Thank you! Thank you!" Jennette thanked Jungkook's friends, her Peanut's uncles. She would forever treasure the beautiful work that they did.
"Come on you need to get dressed. Guest will be coming in less than an hour."
Week 37-40
Jungkook is the type of boyfriend with labor emergency kits in every vehicle. So that no matter what car they were in, if they needed to drive straight to the hospital then they could. With Peanut arriving in less than a few weeks, Jungkook has become a lot more stressed.
He overreacts to any groan coming from Jennette.
"Was that a contraction?"
"Did your water break?"
"Do you feel her head coming out? Lay down, let me look."
Jungkook was getting on Jennette's last nerves. His pre-parental panic was cramping her style. She looked like a goddess. Afro out, wearing slightly form-fitting clothing. She was like Rihanna, making her bump an accessory with her outfit. Not hiding it under maternity clothing. She does several solo maternity shoots before inviting Jungkook to do a couple with her.
The afternoon of August 31st is when Jennette's water breaks. She was baking peanut butter cookies when a liquid trickled down her leg. Jungkook who was in the shower, wasted no time ushering his pregnant girlfriend to the hospital.
It was seven o'clock and Jennette was only four centimeters dialed. She bounced on a huge yoga ball. She did breathing exercises, and Jungkook was attentive the entire time.
Rubbing her back when requested. Holding her hand, kissing her forehead.
"You are doing amazing baby. I love you so much."
Jennette could FaceTime her mother for a couple of hours as she slowly dialted to eight. Her contractions were becoming closer together, and Peanut was slowly lowering herself into the birth canal.
"I don't think I could do this again." She huffed. She wasn't in pain but was in extreme discomfort. She couldn't get comfortable laying on her back. It just felt wrong.
"Whatever you say baby. Peanut is enough for me."
"Bug can you hold me up. I don't think I can lay down any longer."
Jungkook did just that. As Jennette moaned through her contractions, Jungkook rubbed her back. Trying to keep the hospital gown as closed as possible, he didn't want her ass out for any passing staff member to see.
"Thank you so much Jeanie." Jungkook was on the brink of tears. With the help of three other nurses, Jennette was lying on her back again. The doctor had declared Jennette at 10cm. She could start pushing, and her contractions were much closer together.
"AHHHHHH!"
"GET HER OUTTTT! NOWWWWW" Jennette tossed and turned her head. Her screams of discomfort broke Jungkook's heart. He didn't know what else to say but 'Thank you' and 'I love you'.
Jungkook held Jennette's hand for the entire twenty minutes she was pushing. Jennette's head hit her pillow with a soft thud. All energy left her body, as she watched the doctor hold Peanut in the air. Her lip was quivering with no sound.
"Why isn't she crying?" Jennette choked out, trying not to cry. The nurses didn't respond, wiping Peanut's face of all the mucus. Jungkook's eyes never left Peanut. Her little pink self. He couldn't help but smile and notice that Peanut was bald. Very little hair was on her head, but Jungkook didn't care. She was the prettiest baby he had ever seen. Bald or not.
The doctor smacked Peanut's bottom, eliciting a scream.
"Oh my baby." Jennette smiled, arms open, ready to hold her. Peanut was placed on Jennette's chest. Jennette nuzzled her cheek against hers. Loving the warmth Peanut radiated. Jennetted motioned for Jungkook to get in the bed with her.
"Come on, come hold her. Take your shirt off for skin to skin."
Jungkook was a crying mess holding Peanut. This was the same person scattering across Jennette's stomach as the sound of his voice. He was now face to face with his Peanut. Yeah Jungkook was crying real bad.
Her eyes were like Jungkook's. It was too early to determine her skin complexion as she was just different shades of pink and slight grey. Her nose and lips were like Jennette's. After being washed up and dressed she took a nap on her mother’s chest. Preparing for her baldness, Jungkook put on a gentle (non-squeezing) bow on her head.
Looking at the time, Jungkook smiled even harder.
"Guess it was fate for Peanut to be my twin."
"What makes you say that?"
Shaking his phone, Jennette saw the time.
12:28 am September 1st.
"You got your twin bug. You definitely got your twin."
Series Masterlist:
Turkey Turkey Day
Pairing: Jungkook x Jennette
Context: New parents Jungkook and Jennette getting food prepared with their little Peanut. Peanut is 3 months <3
Jennette listened attentively to the baby monitor to watch out for when Peanut woke up. Peanut was sleeping on her back with her hands resting above her temple. Her feet occasionally rubbed against each other, so she would be waking up soon. Jennette would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night just to watch Peanut breathe. It didn't matter if she was exhausted or just put the toddler down from feeding. She would get up again and make sure she was okay.
Lucky for the new parents, they just had to host Thanksgiving. Their parents were bringing all of the dishes that they would be eating. They weren't heartless. No way could three months postpartum could Jennete prepare a proper Thanksgiving dinner.
"Jungkook, do you wanna go wake up Peanut. It's getting close to her feeding time." Jungkook in the middle of brushing his teeth nodded. He rolled his neck to the side. He was dressed up semi-formally. A brown collared shirt, with khaki pants. A gold watch on his wrist and he was rocking his shorter hairdo. Jungkook cleaned up nicely.
"You look beautiful Jeanie."
Jennette was putting on more than a graphic t-shirt and maternity pants for the first time since Peanut was born. She still had a bump but was slowly returning to her pre-pregnancy weight. She wasn't too worried about losing the baby weight. It made her nostalgic. She grew a tiny human in this deflating belly. The same tiny human that had captured her heart since she came into the world a few months ago.
Nevertheless, soaking in the tub and getting gussied up still felt good. Going along with the brown theme, Jennette was in a puffy-sleeved maxi dress. Around her hips was a gold belt, that gave her that hourglass shape. The baby weight that she had was distributing itself nicely. Her breast went up a cup size, and she butt was more pronounced. She was a walking definition of a milf. An inside joke with Nala.
"Damn I look good."
Jennette shamelessly took pictures of herself. Her face card was valid with matte look. Her Coi Leray braids were freshly done two nights ago and her confidence was high. Now it was time to go see her baby.
She didn't expect to see her three-month-old newborn in a miniature. turkey outfit. Peanut was awake, bubbles coming out of her mouth. Jungkook was playing with her feet. Giving them rapid kisses.
"Why is my baby a turkey?"
"I saw it on Amazon and thought it was too cute not to buy." Jungkook gently lifted Peanut out of her crib. He supported her head as she laid her cheek on his shoulder. Peanut’s fat feet were sticking out of the turkey onesie. The hood was decorated to look like feathers, with a small peak on the top. Jennette wanted to coo, seeing how small Peanut looked compared to her father. She was a little bit bigger than his pecs.
"She does look adorable." Jennette snapped another picture. She would definitely send this picture to her family group chat.
"Come on let's feed her, before she everyone shows up.”
<3. <3. <3.
Peanut in all her turkey glory was the center of attention at the dinner table. Her travel crib was pulled up beside Jennette and Jungkook. This was the first time that the grandparents could touch their grand baby.
Jungkook and Jennette wanted a couple of weeks to themselves with Peanut. They didn’t want to be suffocate under the new baby attention. And now that Peanut had a couple of vaccines in her system, they were slowly introducing her to other adults.
Jungkook’s mother currently held Peanut in her arms, bouncing her softly. Peanut was staring at her grandmother, leaning forward to leave wet “kisses” on her cheek. In any other context the sight would be gross, and very unsanitary. But it was melting the hearts of the older adults.
Jennette ate the Korean-Soul food dishes. She had her favorites from each couzine. Mac n cheese, collard greens, honey butter cornbread, and her mother in law kimchi. She was eating good, and baby duty was being happily taken care of by her parents/ in laws.
Jennette was truly grateful and thankful for her family.
Jungkook's Random Morning w/ Peanut
Pairing: Jungkook + Peanut
AN: Italics represent Jungkook speaking in Korean :)
Fatherhood surprisingly reversed Jungkook's late-night habits. His career as a boxer undoubtedly helped, but fatherhood would be why he states if asked. Peanut can get quite gasy, leading to her be fusy. Jungkook would hear her congested whines and walk across the hallway to her room.
"Bicycle kicks." In a back-and-forth motion, Jungkook moves Peanut's chunky legs. She let out tiny grunts before releasing a powerful funky fart.
"P.U Peanut." Jungkook fanned his nose. Peanut let out a sigh of release. Now that Peanut was in that stage of tummy time, Jungkook would lay a soft blanket on the carpet. Place Peanut on her stomach and do a couple of simple mobility stretches. He had to stay as loose and limber as possible. He was doing mock punches in the air, staying light on his feet. He was far enough to ensure he didn't accidentally step on little Peanut. Oh, his heart would be crushed, and Jennette would actually murder him.
Once his heart rate was elevated, Jungkook noticed Peanut turning her head. There was a slight shake in her neck, but for the most part, she had it down-packed. Peanut was such an easygoing baby.
Getting down on his stomach, Jungkook was face to face with Peanut. Her glossy, dark brown eyes were concentrated on his face. As if her little eyes were trying to take mental pictures of his face.
Jungkook was falling in love within seconds. Jungkook was a firm believer in the multiple loves a person can experience. It is platonic, one that he shared with his friends from Korea. The six older guys truly took Jungkook under their wing. Namjoon, Seokin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, and Taehyung were like brothers to him. Big brothers who were amazing uncles to his Peanut.
Romantic love is next, the one that he's experiencing with Jennette. He had an average dating life, a couple of girlfriends after high school, and a few series ones when he was a novice boxer. Yet none of them stuck around or even evolved past physical attraction. Jennette was truly a friend in the beginning of their relationship. A social worker and boxer, a weird combination that no one initially thought would sprout onto something further. She loved him as much as she pretended to downplay it. She loved him, and Jungkook could shout from the rooftops how much he returned those feelings. He was going to marry Jennette one day, one day soon.
And finally was paternal love. He was basking in the one every day since Peanut took her first breath. Every spit-up, changing of shitty diapers and foul-odored farts rarely phased him. Jungkook embraced every moment of this stage in Peanut's life. This brief time Peanut is totally dependent on him. During this brief time Peanut's only method of communication is a whine, cry, or smile. These were the moments that would become invaluable.
"I love you Peanut"
In slow motion, Peanut started to lean over. The unequal weight distribution caused her to rock slightly. With his natural dad instincts, Jungkook used one hand to catch the side of her face before she tilted over. Jungkook's thumb rubbed over her cheek.
He kept repeating his love for Peanut.
"I love you Peanut"
"I love you Peanut"
"I love you Peanut"
"I love you Peanut"
One of Your Girls: KTH x Black Reader
Pairing: Actor Taehyung x Friend zoned Black Reader
Reader is delusional (like most of us), kinda feel bad, down horrendous, love sick for sure. Kinda mopey tone
I never could have imagined myself being a The Weekend girl. A girl who was so desperate for male attention that she convinced herself that being a side-chick was okay. Uttering that stupid phrase "he knows where home is." I actively laughed and made fun of those girls. Side chicks who believed that they would one day become the wife. That the man who was dragging her along would come to his senses. That she had something special and would motivate him to change his dirty dog ways. Ha! What fools.
Yet there was a voice that didn't belong to me , reciprocating that belly-aching laugh.
Look at you in madly in love with a man who sees you as nothing more than a friend.
Even though no one was pointing that finger at me the embarrassment was swallowing me up whole. Yet again here I laid in the California King bed, alone, hoping he would still be here with me. That after he tucked me into bed, that he would be curled up beside me. I wouldn't dare allow myself to hope that maybe in our mutual intoxication, we shared this bed in a more intimate sense. That I finally escaped the isolating box of friendship. Removing the burn of being called his friend, but rather yet just his.
"Ms. Yn? Are you awake?" Judah Tae's assistant spoke on the other side of the door. Huh, I guess he knew about me staying the night. I wasn't a total fool to know that Judah coming to wake me up, was a clear sign from Tae that my window of being a guest was rapidly closing. He was too much of a coward to address me head-on and politely kick me out. So he tasked that to either his softspoken Judah or his rough-around-edges security guard Binky. At this point I would have preferred Binky to wake me up.
"I'm up, Judah." I picked up my belongings that were scattered across the ground. Nothing too serious but a bright red corset top and a slinky black maxi skirt.
"Your phone and purse are on the dining table, and your Uber is outside. No need to rush out, take your time."
Judah added that last sentence to cushion the blow that I was again getting the discreet dismissal from his boss. I was the pitiful girl who couldn't get the hint. Or perhaps refused to get the hint.
I sat in front of the vanity mirror, getting myself together. Yes, I was a bit prideful. Even though I was on the edge of another anti-climatic emotional breakdown, I'll be damned if I showed it. If fake it til I make it was a person, it would be me.
Drunk me in all her right mind, was smart enough to remove the layers of makeup on my face. They weren't smeared across Taehyung's satin pillow sheets. Sheets I like to think he got for me, to protect my natural hair. I just like to think that he's thinking of me.
Catching my eye were two photo frames. The larger one contained Taehyung and his castmates of Hwarang. He was the youngest and his older castmates had bunny ears behind his head. Even though it was hard to see as Taehyung was dressed in a traditional hanbok. His perfect smile on display, his big ears poking out lateral to the black head strap. He looked like a kid in the candy store. Smiling cheek to cheek, that he actually looked like his six year old self.
Should I truly feel shame for allowing myself to fall in love with a man like him. A man who was kind, interested in the things I liked, was single, intelligent, and had a passion within his career. I wouldn't be exaggerating for saying that Kim Taehyung was one of a kind. It would be hard to find another like him. No. There is no one like him. I was already lucky to be in his space as a friend. Someone who he didn't have to worry about betraying him to the gossip-hungry tabloids, airing out his dirty laundry for the world to sift through and mock. I was honored to be his number one confidant, his best friend. But I won't lie to my heart and say I wish we were something more.
I wish I met his grandmother, the most important woman of his life under the guise of lover. That he posted my face on social media holidays like National Girlfriend Day. I wish that I had an initial in his bio, showing that he was taken.
But instead, I was reminded of the reason why none of my wishes would come true. His true love was currently occupying that space. The female co-star that he was currently the lead with. She was a beautiful ray of sunshine inside and out. Everything about her was pretty. Her skin was clear and smooth, not an imperfection is sight. She had a youthful look to her, easily being mistaken as Taehyung's junior despite her being older than him. Even her name translated to 'pretty' in both her native language and Korean. I didn't need intense calculations to understand why Taehyung was in love with her. If I was a male, hell I'd probably be in love with her too.
Which is why it hurt the most seeing the two lovebirds hug each other so lovingly. Her smile was turning into rambunctious teasing. Bragging that she won this little onsided game between us. That she was the victor in this drawn-out battle for Taehyung's attention and affection.
That I YN YLN was a loser. That I earned second place. Nah. That wouldn't stand for much longer. Kim Taehyung was in love with me. A seedling somewhere in that big heart of his was reserved for me. His girlfriend was the overcast, preventing my little seed from growing. Two can play this game. And rest assured, that this time I would be victorious.
Muah Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!
(just jokes- i don't support homewrecking <3)
But My Mommy Said No || JJK
Pairing: Jungkook & Peanut (OC) ft. Jennette
I'm sure we've all seen this tik tok . This kid knows wassup. Peanut is slightly aged up in this fic. She's gonna be around the same age as the little boy, so I'd say three. Italics represent Korean
None of the pictures are face claims for Peanut/Jennette/Jungkook <3
Jungkook mindlessly bent over to pick up the pieces of doll clothing in the loft. The loft, his designated man cave, was now where Peanut's toys were stored. His Xbox wasn't even plugged up, because he didn't want to risk his precious Peanut tearing it up. With the days passing she was only getting faster and faster in her walk. Meaning she could get into to trouble quickly if he or Jennette wasn't watching.
"Peanut cup."
"Yes."
Peanut peaked her head out of Jungkook and Jennette's shared bedroom.
"Come here. I have something for you."
Her dark brown eyes lit up, hearing Jungkook had something for her.
"Present?"
She learned over trying to get a look at what Jungkook held behind his back. Peanut could barely hold her excitement.
"Lollipop! I got it for you."
Peanut looked at the red lollipop as if it was a vegetable. She babbled, her face carried with unease. Jungkook expected Peanut to thrust her tiny body into his arms will appreciation, before slobbering down the lollipop. Instead she took two small steps backwards.
"I can't have that." She looked at her father. "My mommy said I can't have that."
"But I'm your dad. I said you can have it."
That did little to ease Peanut's concerns. She rejected the lollipop.
"I'm in charge around here. You can have the lollipop."
"I'mma choke."
"Peanut cup, you can have it daddy promise."
"I'mma choke."
"I'll watch you, okay. You're not gonna choke."
The little girl shook her head. It wasn't typical for Peanut to have candy. It wasn't something that they used to reward her for good behavior. Jungkook could count on both hands the amount of times he's seen Peanut with candy, since she's been alive.
For a second Peanut hesitated. In her three-year-old mind, she really wanted to eat that lollipop. But the stern warning she got from her mommy was ever so clear.
No candy, especially no lollipops. I don't want you to choke. Mommy would be so sad.
For what little she could understand, Peanut didn't want her mommy to be sad. Nor did she want to experience choking.
"I don't wan it."
"Why not?" Jungkook was asking for entertainment purposes. Peanut was standing her ground and was not going to take the lollipop. Jennette's influence was clear.
"Cause my mommy said no."
"But I'm in charge of mommy. I make the rules not her."
With the same look of determination, Peanut stood firm. She does not let her father's temptation get her in trouble with her mother. In true Peanut fashion, she turned around and walked away from her father. Running back into their bedroom, doing who knows what.
Promise Me || Bucky x Black Reader
Synopsis: This occurs maybe about a year after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The reader is a black woman and should be imagined as such :) Bucky is 37, and the reader is ideally 32/33.
Very angsty (reader and bucky are getting a divorce). Not edited at the moment. First non-BTS imagine/fic so I'm super nervous. I love Marvel too <3
I didn't think forever for us would end so soon. Four years seemingly going down the drain. Two years of dating, eight months of engagement, and barely a year of marriage. I felt like I was giving up. Quitting. Like I wasn't honoring my vows.
Til death do us part.
But when I took those vows I believed I was giving them to James Buchanan Barnes. Who I lovingly refer to as Bucky. A man a slightly older than me, but didn't look a day over thirty. He was the man that I envisioned as a little girl marrying.
A man who was tall, easy on the eyes, with a look of danger, but a heart of gold. Bucky had the perfect mix of both. A veteran turned firefighter. He risked his life daily, saving those in a life-or-death situation. He was second chances, personified for these people. He was a light of hope in the darkness of succumbing to a burning fate. He was a hero.
A hero.
A hero more in the literal sense than what I could have possibly imagined.
Bucky Barnes wasn't a thirty-seven-year-old man who was technologically challenged. Not a man who liked listening to music artist from the 1930s. He was sophisticated and romantic.
Doll was his favorite name to call me. Initially, I thought he was just trying to hard not to use generic pet names like 'baby' or 'bae'. Or that maybe his fascination with the olden days carried into his pet names for his girlfriends. But now I wish the truth was that easy and simple to understand. It didn't involve decades of high-profile assassinations and the bringing down of governments.
One man could bring down an entire government regime.
And that man, is my husband?
My James?
My Bucky?
The man sitting across from me in this stuffy monochrome conference room. Well the conference room was quite large. It's just the tension was sucking out any air circulation.
When I took my vows to James Barnes, I hadn't realized I said them to this 'Winter Soldier' to. A man wanted by hundreds of countries for international crimes that date back to the Kennedy administration. A man hunted down by the Black Panther for killing the king of the most powerful nation.
No, surely there was a mistake.
But I would be foolish to argue with evidence. Pictures of his stalky figure I curled up to several times at night. Blue eyes were the portals to his true thoughts. Shoulder-length hair I raked my fingers through mindlessly when listening to him recount his twelve-hour shift at the station. His wardrobe wasn't anything special, which explains why he could slip under the radar for so long.
That was him. He was responsible but not at the same time. Fourteen hours after being interrogated by Maria Hill, I better understood the double life Bucky The Winter Soldier had been living. Believed to be dead by the Allies, he was held hostage by Karpov, who brainwashed him and tortured him until he became the Winter Soldier. Breaking his mind, and piecing him back together to become he perfect killing machine in human form.
Helmut Zemo managed to get his hands on the book containing the words that activate the Winter Solider. He awakened the monster and manipulated him into the bombings that killed King T'Chaka. He used the Winter Solider to effectively divide and dissolve the Avengers. Zemo was responsible for taking away the Bucky that I knew. The hero.
"I'm glad you and your client could be civil and agree to our demands." Your lawyer, Jennifer Walters, spoke. You and Bucky's lawyer had been talking for twenty minutes, but you couldn't focus on their legal jargon. You were tuned out, tracing your steps on how you and Bucky were sitting in this office. On the opposite end of the table, staring at each other as if we'd become opponents. No longer players on the same team.
Bucky's eyes dragged across to scan Jennifer's face. In his heart he held no misplaced hatred for the woman. She was a professional doing her job, representing the interest of her client. He didn't spend long reading the lists of things that you wanted from the marriage.
The house was yours, he wouldn't dare try to live in that house if you weren't there. It wasn't good for him to stay in open spaces, for too long it freaked him out.
Most of your demands were reasonable and he put up no fight. He didn't want to fight with you. When he finally got his head on straight, he wanted to explain his disappearance. He wanted to be the first person to tell you about the Soviets and the Winter Soldier Program. He wanted to tell you about the bad things that he's done, but his memory was a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces. He wasn't sure if you would believe him, until he had all the pieces. When he did come across a piece, he was scared that it would show more harm than he did.
Confirming his belifs that he wasn't worthy of a second chance. That he could find happiness living a solo mundane life. Even with his slow aging, he could blend in his environment and live a good life. He would keep intact what little of his humanity he had left. But after Zemo got his hands on him again that little sliver of his humanity was gone. He was a tool designed for slaughter and destruction. Becoming a firefighter saving people wouldn't undo all the lives he took. Marrying you, the love of his life, wouldn't give him the normalcy he sought. He was reminded of that every time he looked down and saw the metal arm. The brute strength granted him the ability to kill with ease. The same metal arm that would now be a reminder of everything he was getting ready to lose with his wife.
The lawyers summarized the documents, and everything signed up to this point. The deed to the house, papers to change your last name, insurance paperwork, everything was discussed. Bucky even took it upon himself to hand you his 401k from firefighting.
Never had the lawyers seen a divorce proceeding go so smoothly. Usually, they have to clear out the rest of their calendars for divorce calendars. Would today be the day that they get out before the late lunch rush? Oh, let it be true.
Jennifer was smart in her word choice. Avoiding the emotional minefields that the couple has. The room was somber, as you shared your emotional hardships. Dealing with the sudden disappearance of your husband. Preparing for a funeral without a body, dreading adopting the label as a widower. Becoming behind on the mortgage and personal family issues flaring up.
Even though it was emotionally heavy, it was easy to formulate the words. You thought long and hard about what you wanted to say. However, you didn't truly have the words for the physical hardship, which was much more challenging to hide. Your right wrist in a sling. A fracture of the ulna and three smaller bones. The one place Bucky has been fighting with himself not to look.
From an instance of right place, wrong time. It would be your first time revealing the details of your broken wrist out loud. Even when Jennifer asked, you were short with your explanation. But looking at Bucky for probably the last time, you were moved by emotion. Emotions of hurt, frustration, and sorrow.
"I see that you haven't signed the restraining order." You gathered your tone to sound as unemotional and far removed as possible.
"Why?"
"I'm not signing it."
The tension in the room deepens as this is the first time you have directly spoken to Bucky. Your lawyers were doing a lot of the communicating for you.
He didn't want to word vomit his emotions and potentially mispeak. Widening the divide between the two. So he opted to sit in silence, letting his heartbreak in silence. Divorce from the only woman he ever loved was going to take a lifetime to heal. On top of that, a restraining order would send him to an early grave.
"What? I thought you agreed to all of our terms."
"That's why I wanted to talk in person. I cant get myself to agree to this. I can't."
Bucky sat across from you with a plea in his eyes. He didn't want to let go of the connection he spent four years building with you. His heart and mind fought each other for days when he got the divorce paperwork. His heart wanted to fight for the marriage. Fight for the sacred union yall made in front of your friends and family. Fight for the love he knew deep down that you still had for him. But his mind hit him with the harsh truth. You weren't safe around him. Having all these enhanced abilities, having this metal arm could protect you. That it wasn't a curse, but a blessing in disguise.
But that wasn't true. And his brain reminded him of that fact with a mental image of your arm in the sling.
It was before Steve managed to track down Bucky's coordinates to that apartment building. When he was still hiding in plain sight. You just happened to be there. Browsing different vendors, as it was the city was hosting a market.
Bucky was right beside you, you knew his scent from anywhere. And the fact that his head slightly turned in your direction, upon calling him confirmed it.
"Buck is that you?"
You raised a hand to touch his face. "It's me. Remember?" His metal hand gripped yours tightly. His hand clapped down on your wrist, leaving you at the mercy of his strength.
You attempted to snatch your hand back. Eyes swelled with tears, as the pain was escalating. Buck remained silent, as he twisted your wrist, to an almost 180 point.
"STOP IT! JAMES STOP!" Your shriek brought unnecessary attention to him. In a frustrated grunt, he huffed before completing the snap. He walked off into the crowd without looking back at you. Those eyes that were the portals to reading his mind was closed. There was nothing behind those eyes. Even in the presence of his wife, his eyes didn't change. I was a stranger. A stranger that he could very easily hurt with little provocation.
Holding onto your broken wrist you were soon comforted by a stand manager. He got you up on your feet and walked you in the direction of the nearest medical aid.
"Please, Bucky. Let this be a clean break. It's for the best."
"The best for who?" His voice a mixture of frustration and vulnerability. "I've been through a lot. We've been through a lot. I want to fight for us. This restraining order snuffs out any chance of us rekindling this."
"We've changed Bucky. The world has changed. I need a fresh start, and I think you need one too."
"You are my fresh start. Don't you see!?" Bucky couldn't go into much detail. His lawyer was unaware of his assassin's past. He was more skeptical than ever about what details he shared about his personal life. Lawyer, doctor, psychiatrist or not. There could be more Zemo's looking to play puppet master with his mind.
"Think about your safety."
The lawyers attempt to mediate. They could sense that something was being left out of the conversation. Something that was connected to your arm in the sling. You were standing firm in your position to sever any ties to Bucky. This was the best decision for the both of you.
Bucky didn't have to worry about his superhero work trickling into his personal life. Not having to worry if some vengeful villain would come searching for you, and harm you to even out the score with Bucky. It was just another concern that didn't have to cloud his mind.
While you wouldn't have to worry about Bucky not coming back home. Getting the news from SHIELD agents that Bucky had died protecting the world from some global threat. The heartache would be too much.
"This is getting us nowhere. Did you and your client really come here to waste our time?"
"Mr. Barnes is just as entitled to getting all of his demands met.
The lawyers started bickering. The couple with actual grounds of argue sitting in silence. You spoke up first, your raised voice silencing the room.
"I'm not asking you to change who you are. I know you've been through a lot. And it is a lot." You reached your hand out to grasp his. You wanted to convey that your heart was full of love for Bucky. You could see a broken and scared man in front of you. A man with more skeletons in his closet than you would like to imagine. But you loved him. And with that love, you had to make the tough choices for both of you.
"You need space and time to collect yourself. Fight those battles in your mind. Get better and heal."
A singular tear runs down your cheek and hits the wooden table as you continue spilling your heart out.
"I love you. I love all of you, and I forgive you. You were unwell and need true help. As much as I want to remove that pain from you, I know that I can't. My love isn't enough. Sometimes love requires letting go. Let me go. Please."
"Even when I was sick, I still had dreams of you. I couldn't make out your face, but I found myself reliving our dates. The time I took you to the drive-thru movies. You said I made you feel like you were in high school again. Or the time I accidentally used all your leave in conditioner on wash day.
Then I started dreaming of a family with you. Raising mini versions of ourselves away from the chaos my life brought. The woods were our backyard, and we were happy. With you I was happy. I still want to make that dream a reality. I'm willing to give up anything to ensure our future."
You listened to his plea. You could tell he was genuine. He would if he could give up his enhanced abilities to be with you. No doubt about it. However, you knew that Bucky was meant for something greater. When he was a soldier who fought the good fight. He was destined to be a hero. A would-be alongside Captain America, fighting threats the world doesn't know about. Ensuring that we live in a world, where us regular people wouldn't have to.
"I can't be the reason you give that up, Buck." You said gently. "It's a part of who you are. Even when you've made mistakes, I've seen you try to right your wrongs. That's the Bucky I know, the hero."
The room was silent again filled with emotion. Bucky had to come to terms that yall were on different paths. Two paths diverged into a left and right. That even under the premise of love, you were right. Bucky was too vulnerable. It wasn't the first time something like this had happened. The Winter Soldier was an ugly part of him that he had to live with. He has to make room for that identity instead of pretending it never existed.
He would be working with Steve and Sam Wilson on hunting down any of the remaining Winter Soldiers. He was thrusting himself into danger. Danger that he didn't want you to be apart of, danger that he felt responsible to end.
You leaned over to whisper in Jennifer's ears. Maybe the restraining order was too much. You were making a rash decision that you may come to regret in the future. Jennifer following the request of her client, placed the restraining order papers in the shredder.
"My client had a change of mind." She stood up packing up all the signed papers in her briefcase.
"Well all the paperwork is signed, our work is done here."
The divorce meeting came to a close and both parties went their separate ways. There you stood discussing the next steps with Jennifer. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Bucky alone. He waited at the bottom of the stairs.
Jennifer took her cue to dismiss herself. With your eyes low, you carefully walked down the courthouse steps to stand before Bucky.
"Promise me we will find a way back to each other."
"I can't promise that Bucky. And you shouldn't make promises you can't keep."
"I would keep that promise. I would stake my life on it." He brought your left hand to his chest. Your wedding ring still on your finger. You hadn't thought about when you would take it off.
"Promise me." His lips were a few inches away from yours. Your eyes were conversing in another language of their own. Saying their goodbyes, and final 'I love yous.'
You brought Bucky into your arms. Arms wrapping around his shoulder as you cried silently to yourself. Bucky tightened his arms around you, his warms rubbing circles in your back. A hypnotizing pattern that would put you to sleep. It was settling over the both of you that this could be the last time that you held one another like this.
You let go of the hug first. Your hand on his chiseled face again. This time not worried that he would harm you again.
"I love you." You laid a tender kiss on his lips. Capturing your affection and goodbyes.
"Promise me." Bucky spoke during the kiss. "Promise me Doll."
You placed your thumb over his lip. You looked deep into his eyes. He was hanging onto every word that you said. Bucky's phone rings, breaking the staring contest you had. To no ones surprise, Steve was on the other end. A bitter reminder of the double life that Bucky was apart of.
"I need to hear you say it."
"I promise."
Bucky leaves a passing kiss on your lips before walking away from the courthouse. He picked up the phone, walking with haste. In a few short seconds, a red-headed woman joined him on his side.
My hero.
My Bucky.
Work Wife || JJK x OC
Pairing: Jungkook x Jennette
Context: Jungkook's self-appointed work wife oversteps at the Christmas party.
*woman is not a face claim for Jennette
"Is this Mick Jung's residence?" Jennette was polite when speaking to the woman who answered the door. She could not attend the office ceremony because she was securing child care for Peanut. She would have a sleepover at her Godmother Nala “Lala” house. So Jungkook texted her just to come to the after-party at Mick’s house. She had sat in the car for five minutes, ringing Jungkook’s phone. But knowing him, he was probably in some deep conversation, not paying any attention to his phone.
Yasmin, the woman answering the door was the gyms talent acquisition director. Jennette had seen her before in passing at some of Jungkook and Jaehyun’s fights. However this was the first she ever directly interacted with her.
"Whose asking?" Penny stands up straighter to prevent Jennette from looking inside the house. Unlike Penny, Yasmin knew exactly who Jennette was. The girlfriend of the most famous fighter at the gym. She thought she would have Jungkook to herself since there was no sign of her at the office ceremony.
“Jennette.” She didn’t like that her response came out like a question. If Penny kept staring her down, she would feel compelled to pull out her driver's license.
"Yo!" Coming to Jennette's rescue was Mick. "Don't keep her outside. Come on in."
Reluctantly, Yasmin stepped aside to let Jenentte inside the house. The home decor was seasonal, with a gold and white Christmas theme.
“Mick you must clearly be in the Christmas mood.” Jennette complimented. This was her first time stepping foot in his home in person but she’s seen pictures. It was a bachelor pad, but not as messy. Sexually suggestive artwork with proudly displayed alcohol bottles.
It was what you expect a boy decorating his first college apartment to look like. Mick was past his college days by at least a decade. But shared the same taste as one.
“I have very important company over.” His head turned toward an asian woman looking around the apartment. A red solo cup in her hand, but she had on thigh high heels. Her salt and pepper hair was blowed out straight and framed her thin face nicely. She looked like she meant business. A sharp contrast to Mick’s goofy demeanor.
“I see.”
“She’s so pretty.”
Mick was clearly drunk, but in good spirits. He was chatty, escorting Jenentte into the thick of the party. Friends of Mick were socializing with cups of jello shots in their hands.
"How's my girl doing. She talking yet?" Mick asked about his honorary niece.
"Is she talking? She won't stop talking." Jennette gushed. Peanut was finding her voice. Instead of relying on hand gestures to communicate what she wants, she'll use her voice. Her voice was raspy, but so adorable.
"All day, she just tells Jungkook and me 'no.' "
Jennette soon realized she was talking to herself, as Mick was swayed into another conversation. Slightly awkward Jennette went on the hunt for Jungkook. The person she was accompanying at this event in the first place.
--------
Jennette hadn't realized she stepped into the lioness's den. It didn't take her long to find Jungkook in the house. He was in the kitchen talking to Jaehyun and Yasmin. His back was to her front.
Yasmin put on her friendly act, announcing Jennette's arrival. Jungkook was overly excited and kissed her forehead affectionately.
“So this is the Jennette I’ve heard so much about.” Yasmin started, catching the attention of Jungkook. The statement was odd. He didn’t go rambling about his relationship with Jennette. Unless he was in Mick’s office then he would talk his head off about his family. Never to regular employees at the gym. Especially not to those that work more in the office than the physical gym.
“So what are y’all? Like friends or something.”
“We’re dating.” Jennette answered shirt and sweetly. Unsure of what Yasmin’s motives taking a sudden interest in her relationship with Jungkook. She could assume that it wasn’t good, from the cold welcome she got at the door.
“She’s the mother of my child.” Jungkook corrected.
“Oh so she’s just your baby momma.” She swallowed the jell-o shot. The liquid courage making her bolder with the following statements.
“Are you expecting again?”
“No, the fuck.”
“Oh! Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry.” She turned to make a face, believing the at if she twisted her body, Jennette couldn’t see the fake guilty on her face.
“Let’s talk about something else.” Jaehyun steered the conversation away the emotional landmines, Yasmin was trying to set.
“I didn’t mean to be rudeee. I just thought Jungkook and I were close.”
“When we trained together a couple of times, sitting beside each other in meetings, road trips to meet potential clients together all those years ago. We had a lot of good times together.” Her voice was drawn out trying to create a seductive drawl.
The mind tricks did little to Jennette. Plus, she didn’t know Jungkook when he first moved to America. So whatever and whoever he was doing in his romantic life was none of her business.
“Yasmin that was one time and almost six years ago. When I first moved to Georgia.”
“Did you know that so many people shipped us together? We were like husband and wife. We were like the ideal couple, that never was. I was the one who got away.”
“Work wife?” Jungkook nearly choked on his shot.
Yasmin was trying to frame her words to have a deeper meaning than what truly happened like a lioness showing her claws to warn prey that she was dangerous. If Yasmin was trying to spark a light of jealousy in Jennette, then she was failing. If anything, she was only making Jungkook more annoyed and irritated by her presence.
"Are yall in love or something? Or is this a temporary thing?"
"Yasmin I think you've had too many shots. They literally have a kid together." Jaehyun chimed in. Not sure why Yasmin was choosing this moment in particular to interogate Jungkook.
"I didn’t get this tattoo for nothing.” He stretched his neck, showing his tattoo dedicated to Jennette. It was Jennette's lip print on the right side of his neck, with the letter 'J' in cursive.
He also just got a tattoo dedicated to Peanut as well. Except it was on his chest. Her infant foot prints on his chest, above his heart. There was no doubt in his mind about how committed he was to his family. Jennette and Peanut were his girls for life.
"I think the babysitter is calling." Jennette spoke up to Jungkook. It was the secret code that they would use to excuse themselves out in public. Taking his cue, he exuded himself from the conversation. Saying goodbye to Jaehyun in Korean.
Once back outside in front of Jennette's car, the couple immediately started laughing.
"If looks could kill." Jennette started. "I think Yasmin like you."
"Literally no."
"She was definitely marking her territory. It would explain the warm welcome I got at the door."
"Wait, what did she say to you?"
"It's not necessarily what she said. It was more of how she said it. Her body language spoke volumes.”
"I've literally only seen her four times. And I'm not even exaggerating."
"Sounds like you've made quite the impression, Mr. Jeon."
"Marry me."
"Is that your proposal?"
"Not the official one. But I do want to marry you."
"Looks I need to marry you, before ole girl comes snatches you up."
"Hush." Jungkook looked over his shoulder.
"I wouldn't let that happend. I didn't push out your baby just stay a baby momma."
"My sexy baby momma. Soon to be wife.”
"Damn right."
Jungkook opened Jennette's door. Running to his side and opening up his door.
"What about Mick?" Jennette's seatbelt clicked.
"He's playing host, so he's distracted." Jungkook shrugged waisting no time pulling out of the lot.
In the mist of their comfortable silence, Jungkook brought up the question.
"You didn't technically answer my question."
"Well you didn't techincally ask so I don’t have to answer."
"I just want some reassurance. You still want to be the future Mrs. Jeon."
"Assuming I'm still gonna get a real proposal when I'm not in cheesy Christmas pajamas. Yes, Jungkook I'll marry you."
Jungkook didn't respond but a huge grin appeared on his face. He pumped his fist, hitting his knuckles on the overhead of the car.
“Ow!”
oooo can you do when Jeanie pranks jungkook by saying another man’s name? Love the fictions keep it up!
Sure! I'm going to keep the 'wrong name' basis but add my own twist :) Hope it still meets your requests.
*just for this imagine Jungkook has continued down his path as a singer/member of BTS. Not a boxer but everything else remains the same
Pairing: Jungkook x Jenentte
"Guess what I learned about your daddy?" Jennette asked to Peanut as she swung her legs to the right. She wiped her daughter's hind legs with a moist wipe, removing all of the urine.
"Appa?"
"Yes! Guess what I learned about him." Jennette tossed the wipe into the trashcan, sliding up the fresh diaper up Peanut's legs. She babbled a response squirming slightly from the cold air. Tilting her up, her polka-dot leggings rose with no issue.
"His English name is Justin. Isn't that a funny name?" Wiggling her nose against Peanut's, causing her to laugh. Her two baby teeth peeked out of her gums. As quickly as Peanut was growing up, she was starting to resemble a lot like her mother. Those first few months of baldness were over and she had a decent amount of hair. If Jennette used a small rubber band, she could do pigtails.
"Why would he want to name himself Justin. Your appa is so silly." She carried Peanut in her arms and walked out of the woman's bathroom. "Let's prank him, okay?"
Not really sure what her mother was stating, Peanut clapped.
"Appa. Appa."
They returned to the table of three where Jungkook was sitting. Peanut slid perfectly into the restaurant's booster. It had been a while since the family of three had been out in public together. With Jungkook's commitments and Jennette's new managerial role their time together was limited.
But with the members pursuing solo endeavors now, it was the most free time Jungkook has had in a really long time. He was spending every moment possible with his family.
"Peanut cheese!" Jungkook pulled out his phone, taking pictures. Ever since he became a father, he's found no reason to take a picture of Peanut. Her first time at a restaurant, he took a picture. First time touching the grass, he took a picture. First time using the potty, you guessed it. He took a picture.
Like a subject of classical conditioning, Peanut started cheesing. Her cheeks were open, her eyes closed, and drool slipped down her mouth. Jennette jokes that if Peanut were to model, she wouldn't be camera shy.
"Justin, can you pass me that napkin?"
Watching the clear liquid string down onto Peanut's shirt, Jungkook moved with haste. Not even registering the name Jennette just called him.
"What did you say?
Before Jennette could respond, the waiter brought the food out.
The steam coming from his plate enticed him. Jennette was treating him to breakfast at a black-owned restaurant. He decided to be spontaneous and try shrimp and grits. Looking at his dish, he could tell his shrimp was well seasoned. The grits were thick and cheesy.
Taking a spoonful, he had to bite his tongue from releasing a satisfied moan. The grits were hotter than he anticipated, but they were too good for him to spit out. So he tried to cool it off with his mouth.
Nodding his head he quoted the saying of food reviewer Keith Lee.
"For sho, you right on." He fed himself another spoonful. "I don't know why you kept me from this place for so long. It's so good."
Jennette smiled, seeing Jungkook enjoy his food.
"Well this can become our little spot."
"Absolutely."
"Justin." Peanut grabbed onto Jungkook's shoulder. She wanted to get his attention and try some of his bowl's food.
"Who's Justin, baby?"
"You're Justin, Justin."
"What?" Jungkook was addled. Slowly scooping up a Peanut appropriate amount of grits. Who the fuck was Justin? This man who apparently has been around his girl and baby. Jungkook looked to Jennette for a clue, but her face was neutral.
"Tell appa who Justin is baby."
"Pleaseeee." She leaned her body, trying to get closer to the spoon of grits in Jungkook's hand.
Not denying his baby girl the grits any longer, he fed her. Watching the good food hit her belly. She smiled, then opened her mouth again.
"Justin look at this funny meme." Jennette laughed while showing her phone. It was a funny new parent post of Instagram that Jennette had been following since she learned she was pregnant.
Taking her phone, Jungkook tucked her phone under his thigh. "Who the hell is Justin? Cause it's not me, and you got my Peanut repeating after you."
"Just a guy I know."
"Who is he." Jungkook's tone was becoming more assertive. He was tired of repeating of himself. And the longer he was going without knowing 'Justin's identity the more he feared ruining this nice family breakfast.
"Jennette, please, my patience is thinning out."
Taking him at his word, Jennette answered his question.
"I found an old video of you saying that you wanted to go by Justin. I shared that with Peanut in the bathroom. It was just a prank, there's no Justin."
Jungkook's face immediately softened. He playfully rolled his eyes. Knowing exactly what interview you were referring to.
"Oh gosh, you watched that clip." He physically cringed. Peanut whined still wanting some grits. Jungkook pulled her onto his lap. Feeding the remaining of his grits to his baby girl.
"I'd hate to be Justin right now." Jennette laughed.
"Whatever." Jungkook kissed Peanut's cheek. Enjoying the rest of the breakfast hour with his little family.

TEASER!!
No One Likes Being Played ...
The family of three wrapped up their outing by returning home. Peanut rested her head on her mother's shoulders. She was tired, and running around the trampoline park was much more fun than anticipated. Her appa showed her how to do flips and all types of tricks. Then, after bouncing around for sixty minutes, she filled her belly with beef and rice noodles.
"Peanut you have a good day?" Jennette asked, walking into their house. Turning on the low lit lights, as not to fully wake up the drowsy toddler. It was thirty minutes out from Peanut's scheduled bedtime. It was enough time for Peanut to get her second bath of the day and read a short story.
Peanut didn't verbally respond to her mother but she moved her cheeks up and down her mother's shoulders. Jungkook went into the bathroom, running the warm water. Jennette undressed Peanut, placing the worn clothes in a hamper. Still clutching onto her mother's shoulders, Peanut didn't move much.
"Go decompress baby. I'll do the nighttime routine." Jungkook received the naked toddler in his arms. He made silly noises as he gently placed her in the tub. Peanut slapped her palms against the water. Drops of water collected around her face.
Jungkook squished the rubber duck, eliciting a sound that Peanut found hilarious. She laughed, showing her small teeth. Jennette closed the bathroom door, going into her bedroom. She threw herself backward on the bed. Eyes closing and reopening slowly. Her busy day catching up to her. She had do some shopping for Asia's upcoming birthday. So she went to the strip mall and looked around for an hour. She got her hair done, sitting in the salon chair for six hours getting her waist-length box braids. It was the summer and was time for her favorite summer style. Giving her natural hair a much-needed break.
Then of course she met up with Jungkook and Peanut for the family activity, which happened to be going to a trampoline park. It was a lot.
But it was fun.
She loved looking at her chunky baby's smile. Bouncing repeatedly, trying to keep up with her overgrown kid-like father. When looking at the two, it is obvious that Jungkook is Peanut's father. Her eyes were a direct copy of Jungkook's. She expressed her emotions with her eyes. They were the size of saucers when she was excited. They were almonds when she was being shy or bashful. And when she was having an attitude, she was notorious for cutting her eyes at someone.
She scrolled through her photo gallery. Liking pictures that she liked, to see, which she would send to Jungkook's parents. Since they were living in Busan, Jennette made a conscious effort to send pictures or videos of Peanut. It was almost an everyday occurrence. Just so that they could still be in their granddaughter's life.
Jungkook entered the bedroom. He had a similar look of tiredness but with a lighter tone. The front of his shirt was slightly damp, probably as an aftermath of bathtime with Peanut.
"Today was a good day."
"Yes it was."
"Peanut didn't even make it past the fifth page. Kiddo was tired." Jungkook laid beside Jennette. He loved days like this spending time with his family. The two most influential women in his life. He wished all his days could be like today. Spending the morning with Peanut, watching her play with her Barbie dolls. Her sassily tells Jungkook what she wants to wear for the day. To spend the evening with his lover. Taking cringy selfies together at the dinner table. To just lay in each other's presence. If he was lucky he could finish the night with some extra loving that only Jennette could give him.
Jennette's mind was furthest away from anything romantic. She pushed thoughts to the back of her mind, making their way to the forefront. The topic of marriage. The idea of moving forward, becoming something more.
It's been dancing through her mind for a while. She initially thought that it would have occurred by now. Back when she was still in her twenties, and definitely before Peanut arrived. She didn't necessarily have a timeline for her relationship with Jungkook.
But she didn't think it would take so long.
Six years passed, and she was still just Jungkook's girlfriend. Well technically, his baby momma. A technicality that she didn't like. Her relationship with Jungkook wasn't just some one-night hookup that resulted in a pregnancy. There was no lingering tension between parties, just two adults raising a child together. So many like Jennette opened their hearts and their bodies to men that they loved. Carrying and pushing out a child or two symbolizes that love. At any moment, they can be dropped.
She didn't believe it took six years to know if you wanted to marry someone. The old her would have cut her losses and moved on, but Jungkook was different. He wormed his way into her heart. His heart was genuine. He wasn't thinking with his dick. Letting lust or physical attraction lead his actions. It was obvious that he led with his heart. Jennette loved him. Her family loved him, her friends loved him. Yet it seemed that wasn't enough. Six years in with no sight of marriage.
The past year or so had been calm. Jungkook's boxing schedule had calmed since he officially moved into the professional league. His fights were more sparse, but the payout was double what he got at the old gym. He was able to spend more time at home with his family. Now would be the perfect time to propose and continue on with the next step.
"Jungkook," Jennette started, nerves slowly getting the best of her. She was putting herself in a vulnerable position. "Do you ever think about our future?"
"Yes, always." He gently rubbed her hip. "I love our life together. I don't want it any other way. Why?"
"We've had six beautiful years together. We were friends, became lovers, and birthed a beautiful baby girl. Not to sound ungrateful or anything. I just can't help but wonder..."
"About?"
"Getting married. Making our family official." Jungkook took Jennette's hand in his. Pressing a sweet kiss to her knuckles. His eyes never left hers.
"I love you, Jeanie. I love you and Peanut with my whole being. This family is official. It was official when Peanut was born."
Jennette was disappointed. She sighed harder than she wanted to.
"It is, but don't you think we're ready for the 'next'?"
"We are. I just want to make sure that everything is right. I don't want to rush."
"How long have you been thinking about this?" Jennette released another sigh.
"About four years ago."
"Four years ago!?" Jungkook was gobsmacked. "Baby! Why'd you wait so long to tell me."
"Ironically for a similar reason you just said. It just didn't seem like the right time. You were under so much pressure from boxing. I didn't want to add onto it. And then, we found out about Peanut."
"Jeanie, I wish you told me sooner."
Jennette continued to explain, finding it difficult to keep eye contact with Jungkook. She rested her eyes upon a family picture on her side of the bed.
"I just don't want to be just a 'baby momma'. All of the women in my family were married, THEN they had kids. I can't help but feel as if I did my life backward."
Jungkook furrowed his brows, sensing the weight of her words.
"You aren't just a baby momma to me, though. You are my lover. I love you. I know I haven't proposed, but it's not because I don't see you as wife material. Quite the opposite."
Jungkook reassured Jennette. She gave a slight smile. Jungkook was always good at comforting. He always knew just what to say. It was one of the many things she loved about him.
Interjecting in the moment, she heard her mother's voice. A conversation that took place shortly after to told her parents about her pregnancy.
Love is one thing, but securing a life together is another. Don't get stuck and settle for something less."
She didn't want to admit that her mother's words might be coming true. Had she been settling? Had she been content with her status of 'girlfriend'.
Was she stuck?
"You know I don't just want this for me. Well, at least not anymore. I want Peanut to have a family that's officially hers. I want our relationship to bring security in her life."
Jungkook pulled Jennette closer to his body. Her face was now a mere inches away from hers. His hand draped across her hips. She placed a kiss on her forehead.
"When the time is right."
The sentence shouldn't have triggered her as it did, but she couldn't help it. What was he running away from? She removed herself from Jungkook's arms. A knot formed at the bottom of Jungkook's stomach. He felt as if he had just chosen the incorrect dialogue option.
"I've been patient for six years. Six amazing years. Six long years. 'When the time is right', I don't know if I can wait that long. Giving myself hope for something that may never happen."
Jungkook sat up on his elbow. That romantic conclusion he was hoping for long gone. Jennette stood up in front of the foot of the bed. Frustration laced her tone. But she internally chanted a mantra to calm herself down.
"What are you saying?"
"I can't, wait possibly another six years for you to gather the courage to take the next step with me. I can't."
"I'm not asking you to do that Jeanie. And one day I will marry you. I swear on my life that I will. I just want it to be perfect for you and Peanut. I don't want us to rush into things and later come to find out that you regret it. It'll crush me."
"But I'm okay with imperfections. I want decisiveness. I want you to claim me. I want you to claim me to the world. I want to be your wife, for you to be my husband."
Jungkook didn't respond.
"I need to know that these six years will lead to somewhere. That we aren't letting feelings and comfort keep us coasting through life."
The knot of anxiety was transforming into a boulder. Flaring in the pit of his stomach. The fear of losing his family becoming more and more real. It was taking him to a place he didn't want to remember. His childhood. Feeling powerless and out of control. Like he was forced to watch this nightmare just unfold. He needed to remember those breathing techqniues that his mother taught him.
"It will. I promise. I'll make it right, I just need more time."
Jennette shook her head 'no'. Her lips pressed against each other.
"We can't get time back. I need to know if you will take this step with me." She was more forceful with her response. Her heart and her mind pulled in opposite directions.
Her brain knew that she was long overdue for a proposal. The longer she stayed, the harder it would be to leave. No matter how she looked at it, six years was too long.
Her heart, wanted to nuzzle in bed with Jungkook. Telling him that she loved him, and that she would always love him.
"I think we should spend some time apart." She didn't want to make a rash decision in the heat of the moment. Maybe a break was what they both needed. Perhaps this was what their relationship needed. A pause. A moment to reflect.
"Jeanie- no."
"I don't want to give you an ultimatum, Jungkook. That's not fair. But in the same breath it's not fair for me to keep spinning in circles. A break could give us time to figure this out."
Reality was sinking in. Time was moving in slow motion. He could hear every heartbeat thump in his head. Like his heart was hitting his ribcage and cranium at the same time. His salvia was thicker. Throat dry. Fingertips tingly.
"We can work through this. I don't want a break. I- I can't lose you."
"I just need clarity."
With that Jennette turned away from Jungkook. She pulled out a large duffle bag. Taking clothes for herself and for Peanut. Jungkook watched Jennette packing in horror. Disbelief takes over his body. He simply couldn't comprehend what had happened.
A break? She wants a break. Those words struck fear into his heart. Him and Jennette would never be over. He wouldn't allow it. He'd swallow glass before choosing to break up.
"I don't want you to leave." His voice was strained.
Jennette momentarily paused. But she remained firm in her position. This break was to benefit both of them.
"Don't we both deserve to be sure about our future?"
The question lingered in the air. Jungkook watched helplessly as the woman he loved packed to get away from him. Even for just a limited time, the hurt was settling in his chest. For the first time in forever, he wasn't sure what the future held. It wasn't a guarantee that Jennette would come back to him.
At the end of this break, she could decide to leave his ass in the dust. Taking Peanut with her. He hated how negative his thoughts were becoming. He needed positivity and reassurance.
His anxiety was surging, an unbelievable level of panic gripped his heart. He was struggling to find the words. Like he was being submerged underwater. No oxygen. No Jennette. There was a storm brewing in his chest.
His breathing was erratic. He clutched his chest, noting that each breath was becoming shallower. Jennette moved throughout the room, getting plenty of necessary items. Packing extra, as she was unsure how long this break was going to be.
He wanted to alert Jenentte about the impending anxiety attack he was getting ready to have. Yet he was mute. Nothing was coming out, even though he wanted to, like his throat was constricting. He was suffocating in silence. He needed to get a grip.
Barely able to get out of bed, Jungkook's legs lost energy. He sank quietly onto the ground. He was paralyzed by the panic. His hands reached out to Jennette, but her back was to him. His mind provided him vivid imagery of a life without Jennette. His thoughts were torturing him.
If this temporary separation has him acting like this, then surely a permanent separation would end him. It wouldn't be able to survive something like that. In a desperate gasp, Jungkook heaved. The sound catching Jennette's attention.
His unusual silence struck Jennette as odd. She looked over her shoulder to find Jungkook on the ground. A panic of her own encompassed her as she rushed to his side.
"Wha- What's happening?" She kneeled beside him.
He couldn't speak full sentences. Only getting out a singular phrase. "Don't go." He repeated it. Jennette rubbed his jaw. She could feel how tense he was. A wave of guilt rushed over her.
"I'm sorry bug."
She was the one setting them along this path. The one with uncertainty. She was tearing apart her happiness. Hoping that, in the end their mutual love for each other would bring them together.
{ Not an attack on single parents or couples with children who are unmarried. But I think we can all agree six years is LONGGGGG}
DayCare Moments|| JJK x OC
A/N: Taking a quick breather from nursing school to push this out. I miss Jennette and Jungkook (& Peanut too!)
Might add onto this later, but just wanted to post something.
Pairing: Jungkook x Jennette
Dropping off a Daycare...
Even when he is running late, Jungkook always walks hand in hand to the front door of the daycare. He could be meeting his favorite idol of all time and would still walk his Peanut into the building. He rings the doorbell of the home daycare. The late fifty-year-old black woman answered the door with a smile. A sleepy toddler on her hip.
"Have a good day." Jungkook watches Peanut's coils move in the wind as she enters the daycare. Within seconds, she conversed with Cameron, one of her daycare friends.
"I love you!" Jungkook raises his voice, seeing that Peanut didn't respond to his earlier statement. Remembering that her dad still existed, she wobbled back to the door.
"Love you!" Jungkook crouched down to her level before embracing her. With ease, he scooped her little body up. Blowing raspberries on her cheek as she squealed.
"Appa loves you so much. My peanut cup."
Placing her on the ground, he left one kiss on her forehead. Careful not to shift the Hello Kitty clips Jennette placed in her hair this morning. Peanut was at that stage where she wanted to pick out her clothes like mommy and daddy. However, she had the pickiness of her mother and got fussy if her hair or clothes were not neat.
With one hand touching her hair, she waved goodbye to her father. Jungkook smiled at the mini Jennette in front of him. He blew several kisses to her before turning around to walk back to his car.
❤︎
"What song are we listening to today, Peanut cup?" Jennette buckles in her toddler. Peanut was always given the aux cord when Jennette had to take the toddler to school. Plus, it was funny to hear Peanut's raspy voice sing beautifully off-key to the songs.
"The Red Panda song." Peanut grooved in her car seat. Two weeks ago, Jennette and Peanut watched the Disney animated film 'Turning Red'. Jennette didn't expect Peanut to like the movie as much as she did. As it wasn't necessarily focused on really young kids. But Peanut awwed and gushed over Mei Mei's panda form. Requesting Jungkook get her a red panda plushy (which arrived the next day from Amazon).
The second reason Peanut liked the movie so much was the songs the fictional boyband 4-Town sang. The most recognizable one 'Nobody Like U' was nicknamed the 'Red Panda song' by Panda. Jennette didn't complain much as it gave her a break from hearing 'Part of Your World' from the Little Mermaid.
Jennette played the song before pulling out of the driveway. Occasionally, I look in the rearview mirror to see Peanut dancing to the song. At some parts of the song, she would make up her own lyrics; she was in her own groove. Her head moved side to side as she sang her little heart out. Twenty minutes later, when they got to the daycare, Peanut was still singing the lyrics to 'Nobody Like U. '
Peanut Makes a Friend ...
Jungkook was doing some stretches on the carpet, listening to Peanut recap her day. She sat at the dining table, with a coloring book in front of her.
"... then it was time for recess, Cheese asked me to play hopscotch with him."
Jungkook paused, 'Cheese?'. What were parents naming their kids these days? Jungkook thought to himself. He didn't want to interrupt Peanut, with his growing list of questions.
"I was hopping like a bunny rabbit. Going like hop, hop, hop." Peanut mimics the hopping with the purple crayon in her hand.
"We had so much fun. I can't wait for recess tomorrow."
*next day*
"Bye bye, Ms.Potts, bye Gabby, bye Cheese!" She hugged the little boy. Peanut standing slightly over the little boy.
Jungkook smiled, watching the sweet interaction. One of his fears as a parent was Peanut being bullied. However, she appeared to be adjusting well at the daycare and had some friends.
"It's Chase, not 'cheese'." The little boy whined.
He pointed to the engraved lunchbox in his hand. Clear as day, the hand stitching spelled out 'Chase'. Quickly covering his mouth, not to laugh out loud. Jungkook ushered Peanut out of the front door.
❤︎
Jennette was making Peanut's lunch for school tomorrow when the four-year-old tapped her leg.
"Mommy am I allowed to have best friends?" She tilted her head, looking up at her mother so innocently.
"Yeah, you can have best friends."
A smile appeared on her face. "Good! I know Appa said I couldn't have girlfriends or boyfriends. But I wasn't sure about best friends."
"What's your best friend's name?"
"Cameron, Gabby, Chase, Makayla, Louis, and Bernard."
"Goodness, that's a lot of best friends." Jennette flipped the sandwich in the frying pan. She admired the golden brown color of the bread internally.
"We play at recess and sit beside each other in circle time."
Jennette nodded her head. The next time she picks Peanut off from school, she'll consciously look for all these 'best friends.'
A light bulb went off in Peanut's hand. She scurried around the corner out of Jenentte's sight. Brief ruffling could be heard. Sticking her head out slightly, Jennette wondered what Peanut was up to.
Surely enough, Peanut came around the corner with eight mini Rice Krispie treat bars in her hand.
"I hope you don't plan on eating all those tonight, miss ma'am."
"I was gonna share with my friends."
Peanut put on her puppy dog look for her mother. "Then why do you have eight. You named six friends?"
"Well, I was thinking about an extra for myself." She twisted a foot and looked down.
Jennette couldn't hide the laugh coming out of her mouth, even if she wanted too.
"Fine, Peanut. Fine."
Scandal || KTH x OC
Pairing: Actor!Taehyung x !Actress! Mei Mei
Mei Mei and Taehyung are the leads for the spicy, hot, and jaw dropping spin off of NBC's Scandal. Instead of an affair in the Whitehouse, it's the love story of two political rival's children. The chemistry on screen and on the carpet is undeniable.
Red Carpet, 8:05 pm, Hollywood California
Mei Mei looked amazing. The lights were hitting his skin perfectly. Makeup is flawless, pores absent. Large fluffy lashes complimented her hazel eyes. She was serving in every sense of the word. No one could take away her shine, not even if they tried. The designer dress wrapped her body like a second skin. The dress had a deep plunge, showing off bits and pieces of her cleavage. It was the perfect balance of sexy and chic. It was the complete opposite of the character she played. Her character was preppy, conservative, and always had her shit together. Daughter of a Prime Minster, it was expected of her.
Her character wouldn't allow herself to expose so much skin, for stranger's eyes to look at. The only man who would even look at her fully naked body was her steamy fling, played by Tae.
Taehyung stood at the other end of the red carpet. His hair was slightly crimped and dangling over his eyes. His lips were straight, but his eyes smiled wide and extensive. His head turned slightly, spotting his castmate Mei Mei. A smile cracked his stoic look.
In seconds he took to stride across the carpet to get to Mei Mei was comical. His big hands found a natural rest on her hip bone. The pair hugged, Mei Mei careful not to rub her foundation on his face.
"It's so good to see you, baby." Mei Mei's manicured nails touched the bottom of his chin.
"Likewise." Taehyung
The cameras were eating up the interaction. There were already hour long compliations of 'TaeMei' on the internet. Combining from their scenes and interviews they've done together. Pop culture was doing everything in its power to, make this ship sail.
"You look beautiful." Taehyung shamelessly checked out Mei Mei. The dress rucching tightening in the back. Making her figure even more goddess-like. Mei Mei was already on the taller side. 5'8 without her typical heels. But now on the carpet she was standing roughly at 6'1. A stallion was the most appropriate way to describe her.
Taehyung loved tall women (short women too), but tall women were now digging a special place in his heart.
With arms interlocked the pair walked down to where some of the interviewers were stationed. Individually they have done hundreds of interviews. Only when doing interviews together, was it actually fun.l
What is your favorite scene you've done together?
Mei Mei immediately started laughing. She liked simple questions that showed Mei Mei the person, not but on an act and answer how her character would.
"I think the scene we did when our characters first met. Our characters got held for ransom, technically."
Mei Mei trailed off, but Tae was not in the same room as her. He was in a different reality. His eyes were just looking over the beautiful woman beside him. He couldn't help it.
Mei Mei was a gorgeous woman. He wasn't blind. One of the reason he was glad he was doing this romance drama was because he didn't have to fake attraction to hi screenpartner. It was all natural. Although he maintained a professional aspect, but if Mei Mei wanted to explore something, Tae would be down.
"I'm sorry. What was the question?" Tae lowered his eyes at the interviewer. Even a blind man could see that Tae was making her melt. Melt so much, that she started stuttering to get out the next question.
"What are some of your favorite looks this season."
"I wore a body fitted denim dress, with a long sleeve white blouse underneath. That was a memorable look for me on set. The second one-"
"Damn I remember that. You looked good, baby." He stepped behind Mei Mei, his hands wrapping around the front of her dress. Not necessarily resting on her stomach but more on her belly button. His veiny hands becoming an accessory for her dress.
"I love it when he calls me that." Mei Mei let out a girly screech.
"Thank you, baby." She returned the comment. Neither one of them packed down from the eye contact they were holding. Not giving a second thought to the cameras, still capturing every moment they shared. The interviewer long forgotten, she was too stunned that Tae give his infamous 'fuck me' eyes.
Taking the cue to move on, Mei Mei led Tae to the next interviewer, hand in hand. Oh for sure they were going to be the talk of the night.
Commenter 1: I love seeing my parents together
Commenter 2: I just know Tae's girlfriend is sliding down the wall Commenter 3: I need someone to look at me the way Tae looks at Mei Mei Commenter 4: They just need to launch the relationship at this point. It's getting ridiculous Commenter 5: Mei Mei is so pretty Commenter 6: I love seeing black women happy :)
Constant Bullshit
Pairing: R&B Singer Ebony x Producer Yoongi
Synopsis: Ebony has successfully made her name a household name in the world of R&B. Her disastrous relationships provide more than enough material to roll out several singles. Peep to learn more about the drama that surrounded the release of single, Constant Bullshit.
Ebony resulted back to a bad childhood habit of biting her nails. She watched as she watched the sound engineer hard at work. She's been in the studio longer than she originally planned, and she reserved for longer. Internally grateful another artist hasn't knocked on the door to claim their time.
It's been a little over six months since she posted on Instagram, eight months since she released any music, and two years since her last album. She's been off the grid. Taking her time to heal. Her last relationship delivered the knockout punch, telling her that she needs to sit her ass down somewhere. As her foul-mouthed grandmother would say.
Her last relationship with a B-list rapper had her outside of her character. Chasing down the girls he stepped out of the relationship with. Heavy consumption of alcohol. Sometimes, I was drunk or hungover for several weeks at a time. Lastly, allowing him to disrespect her body. Posting intimate, private images that the world's wandering eye had no business viewing. Strangers gawked at the most intimate parts of herself, leaving distasteful comments without a second thought. Stripping any source of humanity from her, making her a piece of meat for unwanted advances from sexless men. She promised to take a break from relationships and understand how to love herself.
"You're still here," Yoongi announced himself. Baseball cap low over his face, and mask over his lips. He took off his jacket, leaning over to place a gentle kiss on her cheek.
Yoongi, how could she have been so oblivious to the man forever in her corner. From being a producer under the record label to being her confidant. Watching Ebony scribble furiously in her lyric book at the many demeaning names she had lined up for all those who mistreated her. Not being judgemental for the times when she was weak, begging her ex to take her back. Apologizing for embarrassing him and overreacting. To speak to her in her love language; music.
Music healed her, transforming her months of bottled-up emotions into rythmic melodies that spoke her peace. She wouldn't have been able to do it without Yoongi. Naturally, feelings developed, but Ebony stuck to her guns, promising that they would go slow, that they would be friends and then lovers, and not try to piece together friendship in the middle of love. She was doing it right this time. She was doing herself right this time.
"Malik, is almost done."
"What track is it?"
"Constant BS."
"If I can add it, it's my favorite." Malik turned around, his silver durag peeking out from his hoody. The compliment put a smile on Ebony's face.
"I just hope my fans like it. It's not like my other projects."
Grasping Ebony's hand, Yoongi squeezed it for reassurance.
"They are gonna love it."
Ebony : constant bullshit out now
And her fans ate it up. One side was extremely hyped that their favorite R&B girly was back. On the other side, the song was perfect. Maybe it was coincidental timing, so many couples broke up before the song came out. Well, now there was a catchy anthem.
A week after Ebony released the song, she took more promotional images for the single. Tomorrow, she will shoot a music video. It's been a minute since she was this busy. Outlets seeking to interview her trying to discuss the song. But Ebony knew it would quickly turn into a conversation about her ex. A conversation she wasn't going to entertain. Especially after the temper tantrum he had a few days after the song's release.
Friday night, there was an R&B festival. Popular old and new R&B tracks were playing. Not even forty-eight hours after the song's release, the event's DJ played it. In a cross-faded rage, Ebony's ex stormed out of the event. Ebony wondered what got under his skin more. The fact that he naively thought he was going to have the last word or the idea that people were enjoying a song that dragged him.
Oh well.
Ebony and Yoongi were cuddled up on Yoongi's king-sized bed, watching several clips of his little tantrum surface on the internet. She was in her get-back era; neither he nor her other exs were safe. She had lists of songs in her arsenal whenever she could release them. She was gonna have the last laugh.
Best believe.
A/N: It's so good to be back 🙂↕️
Piercings
Pairing: Jungkook x Jennette (ft. Peanut)
Synopsis: Story of Peanut getting her ears pierced.
Jungkook was more than familiar with the procedure for piercings. He was becoming the poster child for body modifications. At this rate, he would run out of area to get tattooed or pierced.
His influence even spread to Jennette. A couple months ago she got an industrial and flat piercing. Jungkook was this close to convincing her to get a matching lip piercing. But she turned him down talking about "professionalism."
Had Jungkook been going to his piercer alone, he wouldn't be contemplating turning back to speed off in his car. The little person in the car seat he was carrying was staunchly different from his typical appointment. His peanut cup was getting her ears pierced. At the request of her mother and aunt (mostly her aunt though).
Jungkook, drawing the short end of the stick, had to take Peanut to get her ears pierced. As he chickened out on taking Peanut to her vaccination appointment.
He couldn't help it. Watching his peanut cup in pain gave him heart palpitations, which led him to wonder how he was going to make it through this appointment all by himself.
Jungkook's leg bounced as he sat on the stool in the back of the piercing/tattoo shop. His piercer, Gus, sterilized the needle. Oblivious to Jungkook's panic. Peanut was waking up from her nap. Bubbles were around her mouth as she did the adorable newborn scrunch.
Jungkook smothered her cheek in kisses. Embracing the natural warmth she possessed in the winter temperature.
"Ready, boss?"
No.
Jungkook nodded his head. He was already chewing on the inside of his cheek. Placing Peanut on his lap, Jungkook secured her head in his hands. Peanut was calm as ever, looking around at the new environment. Her fist became tasty as she lodged it in her mouth.
"It'll be quick. In and out. You don't have to fret baby." Jungkook spoke out loud. Unsure if his prep talk was for Peanut or for himself. Taking his cue to get this process done, Gus walked to Peanut's left side. The infant watching the man get closer. Not visibly uncomfortably, but definitely keeping track of his every movement.
"Give me a countdown," Jungkook asked, his voice sounding small. His eyes already closed tight.
"One, two." Before getting to three Gus injected the needle through Peanut's lobe. Prepared with the small stud jewelry to add to her ear.
With one eye open, Jungkook braced himself for the horrific cry. Tears of his own brewing at the waterline. Peaking down to look at Peanut, her expression was emotionless. Fist still in her mouth, saliva strands dripping down her winter coat.
"Like a soldier." Gus complimented, going to the other side. "This should be a piece of cake then."
Giving Jungkook the same countdown, Gus finished the piercing on the right ear. Unlike the other ear, Peanut started to whine. Fist came out of her mouth to touch the recently pierced ear. She whimpered, turning her body away from Gus.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Jungkook whispered to Peanut. Bouncing her in his arms. Finally, standing up. Still not happy, Peanut gently rubbed her ear.
"Thank you for squeezing us in." Jungkook paid with his Apple Watch, refusing to place his sniffling baby.
"Any time man."
Jungkook sat in the driver's seat. His phone dialed Jennette's.
"Oh my baby, well, my big baby." Jennette was graced to see Jungkook's red eyes while holding Peanut.
"I take it things went well." She had a teasing smirk on her face.
"I'm never doing this again." Jungkook wiped the stray tears falling down his face.
"Can I see my actual child? I can check up on you later."
Peanut faced her mother. Eyes just like her father.
"I'm so sorry, mama." Jennette blew kisses to her baby, who rested her head on her father's shoulder. Her sniffles eased as the pain went away in her ear.
"Jungkook, bring my baby home."
Matcha Tea
Pairing: Jimin x Althea (OC)
Synopsis: Althea never had Matcha before. Jimin is sweet enough to take her to a spot he knows.
Konnie's Kafe was the name of the shop Jimin walked hand in hand with Althea. The spot was owned by a sweet Arab woman who Jimin met at one of the many food truck festivals in the city. The shop was a minimalist but modern decore. Tables were stacked toward the front of the restaurant, and the behind the counter is where the bar was.
"It's gorgeous, the lighting is perfect." Althea spoke to her phone camera. Documenting the experience as she usually did with new things she tried. In the camera, the ceiling light gave her a golden-hour look. Skin was poppin!
"Oooo, look at the flavors." Althea flipped the camera to show the blackboard calligraphy hanging above the bar. Cream-colored pendant lights hung above the cash register, and oil paintings of floral and matcha herbs sat behind the light. Little things that, as an interior designer, she loved to pick up on. The air was clean, the furniture was warmy. She could see herself here frequently.
Jimin figured he would try something new. Deciding to join in on the experience of trying something new with Althea. He tilted his neck, letting out pops as he internally figured out what to try.
The matcha and white chocolate combination caught his eye.
Konnie came out of the backroom. Her cheekbones are high as she smiled at the customers.
"What can I get for you all?"
Jimin looked over to his left to see if Althea was ready. She was too caught up in her monologue to notice the social cue Jimin was giving her. With a loving hand, Jimin wrapped his arm across her shoulder, his face coming into view of the camera. He looked at Althea through the camera.
"Ready to order?"
"Yes, sorry. Can I get the tropical matcha, mama?" Jimin read the flavor description.
Matcha, coconut, and mint leaves.
"I would like the midnight matcha." Konnie punched in the orders on the POS system.
Jimin handed Konnie his card before she announced the total. Swiping the card, Jimin thanked her before following Althea to a table. As part of the decor, a flippable hourglass was in the center of the table. Althea rambled, talking about nothing in particular.
In record time, Konnie delivered the drinks to the table. Jimin watched Althea's pupils dilate in real time. Althea's tropical drink had a paper and toothpick tent hanging off the corner of the cup. Brown sugar on the rim appeared like sand, really selling the beach vibes.
"It's gorgeous!" Althea lifted the cup. "Jimin try." She turned the straw toward his mouth.
"You haven't even tried yet yourself." Jimin laughed.
Konnie, watching the two, smiled. Althea reminds her a lot of her bubbly granddaughter. A soul who was experiencing her first life. She was so open to exploration that it was nearly impossible not to love her.
Sipping the drink, Althea pondered. "ten out of ten!"
"Drink your drink, baby." Jimin picked up his drink, enjoying the new flavor he had tried. He gave Konnie a thumbs-up. She smiled, leaving the couple to enjoy their beverages.
In seconds, the sound of air passing through a straw. Jimin, not even a quarter through his drink looked at the empty glass in amazement.
"It was really good." Althea shrugged, tapping her mouth and applying a fresh layer of gloss on her lips.
What is it, the Braids?!
Pairing: Jungkook x Jennette
Synopsis: Jennette starts feeling herself with her new summer hair do.
Get it sexy.
Get it sexy.
Get it sexy.
Boy you know this ass super fat.
"I ain't lying, though." Jennette bounced excitedly in the driver's seat. Six long hours in the hair salon were finally over. It was summertime and it was perfect for her to get her favorite summer hairstyle. Boxbraids. Her trusty stylist was getting ready to have her baby, and Jennette knew she would be more than a little occupied.
Sexyy Red's smash hit was just the icing to the latest hairstyle. It was the perfect hype-song. Sun was out, Jennette had her rooftop done, speakers vibrating the car. She caught glances at herself in the rear view mirror.
Bustdown middle part and I got it black (I'm a big fine ho)
Walkin' through the club lookin' like a snack (but you knew that though)
The song was taking her back to her undergrad years. Jennette wouldn't label herself as 'ho' or anything. But she definitely participated in hoodrat activities more than once, wearing low-waisted jeans and getting her belly button pierced after one night of too many shots. Getting pulled into the center of twerk circle, throwing it back flawlessly on her friends. Never tying herself down so she could flirt shamelessly with the different guys on and off campus.
Maybe it was a good thing, this song didn't come out a decade ago. Pulling up at a stop light, Jennette adjusted her braids, looking over at the car beside her. Two young men, probably college students themselves. The one is the passenger initiated a friendly wave.
Jennette returned the favor. Her body still grooving to the music. Looking at her playlist for another hype song to add to the queue. The same passenger made a 'call me' motion, doing his best to silently flirt.
Jennette shook her head no, pressing her foot on the gas. Driving to her familiar neighborhood. Driving slowly to her house, she saw Peanut chasing her dad in in the freshly cut grass. Quickly her little legs stopped chasing as she watched the familiar sedan park.
Jennette, still feeling the music, locked the car door before stooping low and opening her arms. Regaining her speed, Peanut collided her body into her mother's arms. Littering her face in kisses, Jennette bounced the toddler.
Joining his family Jungkook kissed Jennette on her forehead, avoiding the freshly laid baby hairs.
"You look good."
"I know." Jennette posed, twisting her hips to look behind her. Doing a gentle shake of her hips. The tips of her braids swaying past the crack of her behind.
"This might be one of my favorite looks." Jennette put down Peanut. She's been so used to having her hair in its signature twist-out that she almost forgot how much she loved braids. All she had to do was slip on her satin scarf and bonnet and sleep peacefully. A temporary break from her frequently twisting sessions.
"It definitely brings out a new side of you."
"You like it?" Jennette flirted her acrylic nail in the corner of her mouth.
"Abso-fucking-tly" Scooping her up in his arms, Jennette instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist. Carrying her, Jungkook walked back over to where Peanut was playing.
