it’s not that he doesn’t like christmas, he actually likes that one

but halloween is so underrated and dumbed down, in his opinion

he’s organizing a marathon of scary movies/movies that have anything to do with halloween for you too

even special episodes from tv shows he rarely ever watches,,,

MATCHING COSTUMES

not like a couples costume, MATCHING.

listen,,, this man would be down for having his costume match with yours in some way

even if it's different costumes from different movies, something like you wearing something red and him wearing the exact same thing

does that make sense????

oh and if you don't like dressing up, you bet this man is going to try and convince you to dress up with him

you bet he’s volunteering for haunted house or corn maces or whatever implies being around people during the halloween time, especially if it’s with little kids

(i headcanon him as someone who does like little kids lol)

he’s so good with telling scary stories, the type you hear in camps or from older brothers that just want to freak you out

get ready for jumpscares, because he’s not stopping until christmas

he doesn’t like carving pumpkins, in fact, he hates it

mickey is also rereading every single stephen king book he can get his hands on

halloween is a longer period for him, also… it starts the first day of october and ends in december first. the halloween night is just the top of it

every week, it’s a theme for the movies. like, week one it’s zombies, week two is vampires, week three ghosts, week four slashers… mickey is very organized with this.

scooby doo. that’s it, that’s the headcanon.

probably attends every dressing up party he can, and he’s dragging you with him.

BEAMS when in film class they start talking about horror movies because of halloween

decorates his dorm with all kinds of halloween ornaments — fake webs, skeletons, bats, fake blood, you name it.

mickey will casually go to class with fake blood in his clothes and just smiles when anyone asks him.

he can’t bake shit, but if you can, get ready to be annoyed with your baking having to be decorated with halloween colors or things.

he can get annoying, but we love his enthusiasm for halloween

one day he’ll probably make a short movie during halloween, the type with very corny dialogue and shiny blood, the type that it's rather cringy and embarassing, but a good memory still

i feel like he would be surprised that not many people actually find halloween fun outside the drinking and partying

i mean not surprised,,, but why isn't anyone else appreaciting it??

as a person who loves halloween, i might be projecting.

mickey would be so fun to be around with, though. he's like a kid in christmas

i think mickey is a rather complicated boyfriend with the whole jealousy thing.

not because of him being very jealous but because he’s a mix of chill but still jealous.

but it think that’s normal, though,,,

he’s very protective, so he’ll probably always watch you to make sure you’re okay, and he likes keeping you under his sight.

but he knows jealousy can ruin things pretty quickly so he always tries to cool down and think how he would feel if the situation was the other way around.

that usually does it, but mickey starts getting petty if he starts considering you’re being too friendly to a certain person for a long period of time.

“oh, you need help? well, why don’t you ask them for help, uh, darling?”

it amuses you, more than anything, because it doesn’t come from insecurity. it’s straight up jealousy and envy when you spend too much time with any other person, full stop.

but at the same time, mickey isn’t stepping up unless you look really uncomfortable with whoever you are.

if he steps in, it might just end in a physical confrontation because, again, these are really serious situations.

he never lets his jealousy become an argument between you two, that’s childish and possessive. it probably has only ever happened once or twice and he has apologized profusely because he truly does trust you.

KNOWS when someone just wants to take advantage if you or something, and he’s absolutely telling you. what you do is out of his hands.

because mickey is the type of boyfriend who is very aware he has no say in what you do or you don’t do. that’s very present in his mind, all the time.

if you purposely try to make him jealous WHILE DATING know that he hates you (and so do i) and will soon dump you.

he really isn’t fucking around that, he wants to trust you, have you trust him back and be loyal (the bare minimum).

however,,,

if you purposely try to make him jealous before dating, you better get your ass ready since two can play the game and he’s flirting with every single human being who blinks and breathes.

he’s so competitive, so are we surprised?

his eyes are always on you, no matter who you are with. mickey always watches, and he does it out of love tbh.

he never asks, though, if he doesn’t know the name of the person/people you’re with.

he just magically finds out and will casually drop the name of whoever he thinks you’re spending a lot of time with to see what reaction you have.

“i didn’t know you knew taylor, mickey. you should have come and said hi!”

the person he probably gets more jealous of is randy, hands down.

he loves the dude but mickey actually sees randy as competition when it comes to you.

he’s charming, funny, with great taste, intelligent, and you do get along… if you met mickey in the first place, it was because of randy.

it doesn’t make him insecure or anything, he just thinks he’s an actually plausible option for you.

so if you start getting very close to randy very often, expect a moody mickey.

because he’s obviously not admitting he’s jealous.

he never does admit verbally that he’s jealous of anyone, you just find out because of the things he says.

“mickey, is that jealousy i’m smelling?”

“yeah, you wish, darling.”

or

“are you seriously jealous?”

“i don’t get jealous.”

with randy is a different type of jealousy, though, because he does get moody.

“are you gonna tell me why you’ve been this bitchy lately or…?”

the look he gives you after you confront him — he’s so fucking baffled that you’ve noticed something’s going on, because mickey thinks he’s so subtle about it when he truly isn’t.

“first of all, rude. second of all, what are you even talking about?”

he finally gets petty when you ask again.

“leave me alone and go over to randy’s, mm?”

you literally burst out laughing at that, because that’s his way of admitting he truly is jealous. 

he actually gets a little annoyed that you’re laughing, which makes him purse his lips and stare at you with a no-nonsense face on.

you reassure him randy and you’re just friends.

“thankfully, you’re the only nerd i seem to like.”

“what do you mean thankfully???”

you end up making him laugh and making him forget his dumb jealousy.

although you occasionally tease him about it because it will never not be funny to you that he actually gets jealous when he’s the only one that you want.

i think he's rather rough

not because of him being generally rough, but because he's not used to with dealing with physically ill people

(yes mentally bc ahem ahem himself)

he has this recipe from when he was a kid, his mom used to make it for him whenever he got sick

always making sure you're covering yourself up with blankets, but in a passive aggresive way

he would click his tongue a lot, as if he's annoyed, but he's really not (yet)

he doesn't like you being sick

billy doesn't like sick people in general so you better get well soon or else he'll start being moody !!

will not argue with you if you don't want to put the thermometer on, he'll just say "okay, if you wanna DIE, that's fine by me."

so if the overstimulation comes in a very crowded or lonely place, he'll notice either way.

he's very caring, so you bet he's gonna have an eye on you whenever you feel overstimulated. you don't even have to tell him.

if you go mute, mickey is asking no questions and instead just leads you to a lonely place in which you can recharge your energy, or just feel better.

if you start getting irritated, he's not snapping at you no matter what. mickey will just look at you and try to let you know that he understands, all that with just his gaze.

MOVIE NIGHTS WITH MICKEY!!

• He’s not a cheeky lil shit who hogs the blanket whilst y’all are either in bed or watching the film in your living room, so you won’t need to worry about that lol

• Mickey isn’t fussy about what you watch. (But if you started insulting the movies he LOVES that’s a whole different story babe..)

• Once, you had invited Randy over for a movie night after his date kinda stood him up, and Mickey ended up storming out after a debate about movies that would always be in the ‘classic’ category.

• It pretty much went on for a full fucking forty minutes before Randy pushed your lover’s buttons a little too far for his liking 🫡

• it was the literal stupidest thing you’d heard yet..

“Mickey, I worked in a video store for almost two years. Sidney will tell you! We had a whole damn section dedicated to the classics!” Randy stated, burying his head in his hands out of embarrassment for his now angered friend.

“Oh my god! I swear if the two of you don’t let me get up, the popcorn is gonna burn-”

Mickey bit his lip in frustration. “Name one classic. One GOOD classic!”

“Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, made in the early 50s. It skyrocketed the minute people found out Marilyn Monroe got one of the lead roles.” Randy said smugly.

• You know how serious Mickey can get when it comes to film. So it’s best to just sit down and shut up tbh

• He always brings the best snacks. Candy, popcorn, drinks, everything he knows you love!

• It’s a bit awkward if you sit away from him during the film. He just wants to snuggle w you :(

• The horror genre actually doesn’t scare him that much

• Though sorry to disappoint, but he will not tell you when the jump scares are ready to be shown 😭

• Overall, it’s amazing that the two of you can bond over something so simple as a movie. It goes to show how much you love spending time with him, your Mickey <3
