“So I guess playing with water guns in the cold weather wasn’t the best idea, hm?” Jeno dug out the fever pills and handed them to you. Jeno leaned his back against the kitchen counter as you gulped down the pills, grimacing as you did so. Chenle sat beside you, pouting. “I’m not going to die Chenle. I’ll be better soon. I swear.” You pinky promised and Chenle left. Jeno knew you were trying to reassure him, but judging from your hunched back, you were hiding it.
“Off to bed. I’ll make sure the rest stays quiet.” Jeno tapped your thigh, motioning you to stand up. You huffed, “Can you piggy-back me? I think my legs just went bleh. And my head is pounding.” You stuck out your tongue, attempting and succeeding in showing a dead face. Jeno good-naturedly rolled his eyes and you happily hopped on.
You let out a stifled yawn as Jeno tucked you in, “Aren’t you glad I’m the one taking care of you and not Chenle?” “Mhm. Chenle can’t even take care of himself.” Jeno hummed in agreement and when he heard you go silent, he knew that the drug has taken effect and he wordlessly left the room.

“Could you guys lower your volume? Someone that’s not Chenle is sick.” Jeno poked fun at Chenle and he threw a pillow at him. “Geez, hyungs! Stop looking at me like that!” With that he left the living room, escaping to his shared room with Jisung. Jeno sinked into the couch and flipped through his book, his eyes moving from left to right.
He finally had some free time outside his schedule to read this book, but his peace was cut short when Haechan raised his voice for the remote control, “It’s my turn to decide on what we’re watching today! Oh dang, I’m too loud.” Jaemin comedically widened his eyes, and Renjun hushed them. Sighing in slight frustration, he languidly stalked into your room.
He saw your bed sheets rustling and he froze at the door. “I can see you Jeno.” Your eyes surfaced from the blankets and Jeno laughed, “Hi, how are you?” “Like cotton in my system.” Jeno crawled to the end of your bed and proceeded to read where he left off.
“Are you finally reading that book I gave you?” You murmured, twisting your body and squinting a little to see the title. “Yeah.” A pause later Jeno suggested, “I’ll read it out.” You flashed him a happy smile and he reached over to tuck you in, a domestic action Jeno was accustomed to. Just like that, the two of you had spent time together, him reading off the book and you nodding off to la-la-land.

night had fallen and the clouds hung high in the sky; jeno’s date (first ever date, his mind helpfully supplied) with you had come to an end. he squeezed your hands a little tighter, interlocking fingers with you.
you glanced up at him and gave him a bashful smile, leaning closer to him. the light breeze caused the browned leaves to rustle and jeno fastened his scarf around your neck.
“aren’t you cold?” you reached out to cup his face. “mhmn’t.” jeno shook his head, ruffling your hair. you halted to a stop right outside your complex and jeno stood in front of you.
“ah...i wish our time together didn’t have to end so fast.” jeno pouted. “me too. but guess who has a strict brother that sets an 11 pm curfew?” you joked, trying to lighten the mood.
“can i have a kiss?” jeno leaned forward, tapping his left cheek with his index finger. you hid your slightly embarrassed face behind your hands, but composed yourself and kissed his cheek. jeno took this opportunity and pulled you in closer until your body was flushed against him. His gaze lowered to your lips and you stopped him with an index finger to his lips.
“don't you think you should wait a bit more to get to know me better?"
if it was even possible at all, you blushed even harder, averting your gaze. at this moment, jeno thought you couldn’t look anymore delectable than you already were. “if it’s what you wish. how about another kiss?” jeno cheekily asked and you stood on your tip-toes and pecked him on the cheek once more.
you burrowed your face in his wide chest, hugging him tighter.
“see you tomorrow?” “see you tomorrow!”
