Tells you to turn in SHIELD assignments and paperwork by the due date. Tells you to drink plenty of water, especially after training. Tells you you’ve done a good job on missions.

You don’t hate it. In fact you rely on it and you love it. Especially the praises.

“Hey y/l/n ! You did good today. Keep it up.”

“Gotta say, I’m really proud of you.”

All those comments make you smile. The rest of the team notices.

“Teacher’s pet,” Tony says. Again, not your teacher.

“Trying to be Hill’s good girl are you now?” Natasha smirks.

“Someone’s got a crush,” Sam teases.

Was she your crush? You didn’t know. You weren’t sure if you liked her, if you wanted to date her or if you wanted to be like her.

What you knew was that whatever Maria Hill told you to do, you’d do it. Whatever gets you that “good job” from her, you would do it.
