The sound of leaves rustling is enough to get her attention, making her draw a gun and hold it tightly in both hands. She stays as still as possible, listening to see where someone or something might be coming from.
Her head whips around in the direction of the voice she hears, her gun aimed in the direction of the voice as well. "W-Who's there? Show yourself! "What do you want??" The rock being thrown in her direction was enough to startle her, nearly making her drop the gun she is holding.

Jade looked around, confused.
"I swear it was supposed to be around here somewhere."

Jade had been out walking her dogs when Galen had began barking. She was trying to figure out what he was barking at when they all began to pull in the opposite direction, starting to drag her with them. "Wait! Stop that!"
She tried to get them back under control again but it was no use. She was forced to go along in the direction her dogs wanted to go. They would lead her to a parking lot which looked to be empty. Except as she got closer, she realized it wasn't as empty as she thought it was.
With a gasp she rushed forward with the intention of helping the person on the ground. She slowed when she was he was holding a gun though. "My name is Jade. I don't mean you any harm. I wanted to help."

Rain, he couldn't remember the last time he felt it. It pricked against his face in a weird way he couldn't understand - waking slowly as he slowly gained feeling once more.
Despite realizing he was face down in concrete the first feelings that came back to him were unkind and cruel - it was a horrible pain in every bone of his body. A sharp ringing ripped through his ears as everything became too much on his senses. The shock of it all was a struggle within itself but it felt like getting up was an even harder task to do.
His body felt weak and for the first time in awhile he felt utterly defeated and vulnerable. Laying on the concrete like an utter fool without a way to defend himself - whatever higher being there could've been felt dead to him now.
Seconds to Minutes to Hours. Time continued on despite his troubles and it pissed him off to no end for some reason. Though with that time he finally gained the strength to push against the concrete and sit up in a kneeling position.
"Dammit Deimos what have you gotten yourself into now..." The man was referring to himself - Deimos. A previous agent of the A.A.H.W before he sought out 'greener pastures' regarding work some may say. A rebellious man, a heavy smoker, an annoyance. He's referred to as many things but in this moment of time the only thing you could call him would be completely lost.
He'd cough a bit, feeling in his mouth before spitting out a loose tooth. "Well shit... that ain't gonna grow back." He grumbled to himself, clenching the small bone in an angry fist before simply shoving it into his pant pocket. "Whatever, maybe Doc can glue it back in or some..thing?" Deimos cut himself off as he finally lifted his head to finally see where he landed himself.

Luckily it seemed like the area he was in was a secluded parking lot, but nothing made sense as he would continue to rapidly glance around; finding trees, a cloudy sky that wasn't the shade of red he grew accustom to... It was as if everything was back to normal before all hell broke loose.
"What the.. What the hell?!" He tried to get up, whether to examine things further or try to run from his current reality - he'd fail. Knees buckling under him with a speed he didn't know was possible and groaning at the impact; knees feeling like they were about to crack under the abrupt pressure of his body.
"Fuck! That hurt..." Things were closing in on his psyche and the world felt like a soup of colors and barely understandable shapes. "Where the hell am I.. 'cause this is definitely not Nevada..."Deimos would speak to himself.
Though he maybe realized far too late that he wasn't alone, just another 'fun' surprise the vast universe decided to throw at him. Reaching for the gun in his utility belt he'd draw the weapon towards the sound of footsteps. "Who's there?!" He'd yell out - vision ever blurry but by God was he ready to fight to survive.

With the potential threat identified, Jade is able to hold the gun in her hands steady. She watches his approach only putting the gun away when she sees him put his bow away and his raised empty hands. She seriously needed to get her teleportation device fixed so things like this stopped happening.
"I am lost. Something's wrong with my teleportation device and I keep ending up in the middle of nowhere with no idea where I am or what timeline I've ended up in. Or maybe I'm purposely being given the wrong coordinates in the hope that I won't back it back safely."

She turns her attention to her dogs for a moment. "Sit. Stay." She turns back to the man who is practically laying face down on the concrete. "They won't hurt you either. Not as long as you don't hurt me." She moves towards him quickly when the gun is dropped as he grabs his sides.
In the few seconds it takes her to kneel down beside him she already has a first aid kit out. "Where are you injured? Depending on how bad it is, I should be able to stabilize it for now until we can get you somewhere else."

She stood there while he tried to process everything she had just said. She was completely used to people being confused and not believing what she said at this point that it didn't bother like it used to.
"Why isn't it safe? Where exactly are we? My name is Jade. Jade Harley. But you can just call me Jade. Who are you referring to??"

Jade swears quietly under her breath. "Okay." She knows she shouldn't move him without first figuring out what's broken. She knows it has to at least be something internal if he's coughing up blood. She has personal experience with internal injuries and knows that laying on them certainly doesn't help either.
"Let's at least get you off the ground for now and we can go from there. I'm pretty sure you broke a rib since you're coughing up blood." She moves closer to him in order to help him get up. "Do you think you can at least put your arm over my shoulders and then lean on me? I'll be able to take your weight and still help you get up. I'm stronger than I look."

She smiles at him. "No problem." She carefully puts one arm behind him, trying to be mindful of any injuries he has while also steadying him at the same time. After getting him up off the ground she doesn't move, waiting for him to adjust while she looks around for someplace she can tend to his injuries.
She sees a bus bench a few feet away from them. She's about to ask if he's okay to move more when he coughs again. Her gaze shifts to him immediately, worried that he's more hurt that she had previously thought, but there's no blood this time.
"This is Vermont. I take it you've never been here before? Where are you from?" She's trying to make idle conversation, to distract him from some of the pain. "I'd like to get you over to that bus bench over there, do you think you can make it?" She gestures over to it with her free hand.

She would narrow her eyes at him when he made the joke about being in a forest. "I already knew that. What state are we in, is what I'm asking!!"
Jade's attention would instantly focus again, her hand once again going to her gun. She grits her teeth when he basically gets in her face, trying her best not to let her temper get the better of her. The last thing she needs to do is pick a fight with someone who could potentially end up being her greatest ally for the time being.
"Fine. Let's go. Why don't you lead the way since you seem to know so much more than I do." She does her best to keep her voice even.

"It's a state in the northeast of the United States. I take it you don't mean Nevada the state if you don't know where Vermont is." What she says is probably true unless he learned about different things in school than she did. But she doesn't want to assume that he's uneducated and offend him.
She signals at the dogs to walk in front of them, having them act as guard dogs in case anyone were to try to do either of them any harm. "If you need to stop and rest at any point let me know, okay?"
Jade begins heading towards the bus bench. "I told you my name but you never told me yours." She makes the statement aloud but doesn't say anything else about it. It's up to him if he wants to share his name or not.
Her mind does drift a little to when she was in a similar situation to this where she wished someone had come found her after Lillith had attacked her. Instead, she had been left face down on the concrete, with three large gashes across her back and left to bleed out. A single bark from Galen brings her focus back to the present.

She slaps his hand away as soon as he touches her shoulder. "Don't fucking touch me!!!" Her voice comes out in a hiss. "Quit fucking bragging and just fucking go!!"
Jade glares daggers at his back after he shoulder checks her but then she studies his movements more carefully. He does look like he's about to topple over and as funny as that would be to her, it's bad for both their chances of survival.
Tommy seems well enough to jog though so she decides not to say anything about it and just follow for now. She will drag his ass out of this forest if she has to.
