Spider Person - Tumblr Posts

(Day 14/? of catch up posting) So here’s my spider-sona cause I really like inserting myself into fictional stories cause they make me feel good (it’s escapism tbh)

(I also used this design in a lot of other superhero related art so it’s been altered a few times since this drawing but you’ll see them soon)

And just in case you didn’t notice, the webs they swing on are weird looking on purpose. They are zigzag webs because the spider that bit this character is the Argiope Aurantia or the Yellow Garden Spider. This spider is known for its unique webs as well as the yellow tripes and spots on its back.

And that’s why his name is Ziggy ‘The Web Weaver’ :D

Day two of the monster challenge. This one is a spider person. 

I will fully and openly admit that this one was a bit of a challenge. I am not used to drawing spider people, and this one was what I settled on after multiple attempts. I know it's a practice thing, but I still feel a bit cold with this one. 

Edit: Retroactively adding names to the first two monsters. This lovely creature is now J. Attercop, Esquire. 

I have an idea floating in my head. Annabeth Chase as Spider-Man

No gods AU and stuff, regular, arachnophobic, mortal Annabeth is bitten by a radioactive spider and after nearly dying learn she has powers and becomes a vigilante

I thought her name could be something along the lines of like ‘The Weaver’ since spider’s webs and Athena’s the goddess of weaving

Percy calls her ‘Web Girl’

And Thalia is basically SpiderBeth’s big sister and clocks her immediately

I don’t actually know anything about Spider-Man’s villains soooo

And yes SpiderBeth is still arachnophobic after the bite
