Being a system is a lot like those good cat vs bad cat of the week things.

Like for example!!!

Good cat of the week is The Bellringer, she got us actual food so we didn't have to eat junk food and even got us heartburn medicine!!

Bad cat of the week is Chucky, he tried to throw a fit in the body and ended up getting kicked out of front.

i'm disappointed to realize that blog headers have a form of scaling dynamic to them depending on the device... and that the entirety of this doesn't display on mobile or desktop!

This was one of our friends completely unrelated to multiplicity, but I think it fits way too well

This post is to remind every aroace being that they are cool and fine just the way you are. You are not less of a being for being romance and/or sex repulsed (if applicable), and you're not less aroace for being romance and/or sex favorable (if applicable). You deserve a space in this life, in queer communities, and aroace communities regardless of the amount of attraction you feel, if you're favorable, repulsed or something else, or if you seek/don't seek relationships with anybody.

This post is also for aroace systems with aroace fictives! Reminder that a fictive is their own person and, even if they are aroace like their source they may or may not be the same *kind* of aroace.

If your trauma caused you to split, then you were traumatized 'enough' to be traumagenic/have DID, OSDD or what have you. Trauma isn't always from a parent: it can be peer bullying/shunning, sibling abuse, near death experiences, experiencing death of a loved one or even a stranger, medical trauma, etc.

I will go one step further and say that if your system experience isn't purely traumagenic, and you're pushed out of supposed safe spaces because of it, don't feel pressured to change the labels that feel right for y'all. I have half a heart to not post this in traumagenic tags, because SO MANY traumagenic systems are anti endo it seems. But mixed origin systems exist, endo systems exist, non-disordered traumagenic systems exist, etc and plurality is such a large umbrella of different experiences (even yours!).

You're doing nothing wrong by existing.

Here’s some positivity for endogenic systems!

Endogenic systems, or systems who formed without trauma playing a role, have always been and will always be integral members of the plural community. Our spaces simply would not be what they are today without the efforts of endogenic systems! Y’all belong here and make the plural community a beautiful, vibrant, and more welcoming place. So this post is for all the endogenic systems out there!

💕 Shoutout to spontaneous systems, or those who suddenly or inexplicably became plural for unknown reasons!

🌼 Shoutout to paros and paromancers, thoughtforms, and other consciously created systems and headmates!

💜 Shoutout to systems whose plurality is influenced by daemonism, their spirituality, or imaginary friends!

🌸 Shoutout to endogenic systems who are disabled, whether or not their disability has impacted their plurality in some way!

💙 Shoutout to endogenic artists whose plurality is intrinsically connected to their stories, worlds, or other creative works!

🌱 Shoutout to systems who educate others, advocate for, and spread awareness about endogenic plurality!

💗 Shoutout to systems who are questioning whether or not they have endogenic origins!

🌻 Shoutout to endogenic systems who strive to keep the plural community safe, open, and welcoming to systems of all sorts!

💝 Shoutout to endogenic systems who also have trauma histories, but whose plurality is not tied to or influenced by their trauma in any way!

💐 Shoutout to endogenic systems who have struggled with being fakeclaimed, harassed, or having their plurality questioned in the past!

❤️ Shoutout to endogenic systems who are closeted or who keep information about system origins private!

Endogenic systems, please keep your chin up and know that your plurality is valid, you are real, and you will always belong in the plural community just the way you are! Regardless of how your system formed or how your plurality manifests, we want you to know that you belong here and you make our spaces better simply by existing in them!

We are wishing every endogenic system a future full of peace, joy, and self-acceptance. Know that, while we are always happy to confirm it, you don’t need outside validation in order to prove that your plurality is real - you know yourself and your system better than anyone else! Please try to take it easy and treat yourself and your system with some kindness today. Thank you so much for reading, and take care!

you don’t have to prove your plurality to anyone. if you say that you’re plural, i’ll believe you, and so will so many other systems on this site.

remember that for every fakeclaimer, there’s dozens of people who believe and support you.

your plurality is beautiful and valid and completely unique to you. no two systems experience plurality the exact same way, and that should be celebrated.

by the way happy trans day of visibility to all the trans systems out there :)

whether you’re a trans headmate or your whole system collectively identifies as trans, we’re out here, we’re beautiful, and we make both the trans community and the plural community more vibrant just by existing in these spaces.

Non-disordered? You can use the term plural or system.

Trauma-formed? You can use the term plural or system.

Non-traumagenic? You can use the term plural or system.

Created, intentionally or not? You can use the term plural or system.

Median/not completely separate? You can use the term plural or system.

Purely psychological? You can use the term plural or system. 

Spiritual? You can use the term plural or system. 

Fictive-heavy? You can use the term plural or system.

Non-human sysmates? You can use the term plural or system. 

Two folks only? You can use the term plural or system. 

1000+ folks? You can use the term plural or system. 

Formed when you were little? You can use the term plural or system. 

Formed when you were older? You can use the term plural or system.

Figured it out via tumblr or tiktok? You can use the term plural or system.

Literally the only requirement is being “more than one”. That’s how it’s been since the 1990s. The DSM/ICD/etc requirements are only for clinical cases. It isn’t the be all and end all for ALL systems, and science doesn’t prove ANYTHING about systems beyond “yeah there’s something going on here”.

Be kind to systems or plural folk different from you. The boots some of you are licking want to stomp on all of us, your system included.

Here’s some positivity for those with imagination-based plurality!

Even within different kinds of plurality, individual experiences can be amazingly diverse! Those with imagination-based plurality deserve to be celebrated and understood within the plural community. This post is for every system with imagination-based plurality, and to those whose plurality played a role in their system’s or headmate’s creations!

🍀 Shoutout to systems whose imaginary friends from childhood later developed into headmates, or whose imaginary friends always caused them to feel plural!

Imaginations can play a vital role in a system’s functioning, and this is especially true for those whose plurality was formed through their imaginations! The imagination can be a powerful tool that can aid in or even guide the process of creating systems and headmates.

Imagination-based systems have always been and will always be a crucial and cherished part of the plural community! Your bright and beautiful creative spirit shines brilliantly throughout your system - please don’t ever be ashamed of this fact! Woo there's going to be an AMA on the tulpas subreddit in May (date is being finalized but it'll be either the 2nd or 16th) by Dr. Michael Lifshitz who did the FMRI study and renowned anthropologist Dr. Tanya Lurhmann who did an informational interview with the study participants.

One of my favorite things to see within the plural community is when some system use a different term for alters/headmantes, systems can get so creative when maken up things

We have seen parts, homies, familie, roommates, guys, and some random things that are so funny and interesting to see, and I think that's a great thing

Even though it's normal for systems use one of the two more common terms you don't have to stick with a term you and your systems don't feel comfortable, there's not a bad nor incorrect term when calling your system parts cause that's a you thing, and I think is awesome when a system is ok to using alternatives for themselves cause that can be helpful to recovering, even though it sounds stupid or nonsense

If you want to share with us how you call your alters besides that you can do it!! We'll gladly read with joy

And for the record, even though we call them alters online, with ourselves and a close group of friends and people we call them persmos, yeah, like our name hahahaha #PersmosRule
