For those who don't know what glaucophane is:
Glaucophane is found in blueschists, metamorphic rocks often associated with past subduction zones. These rocks indicate high-pressure conditions compared to typical geothermal gradients due to their relative pressure-to-temperature ratios

Week 7 of posting thin sections!
Today we see some Muscovite doing the worm. Honestly when I first saw this I was flashbanged by so much colour I had to look away for a few seconds.
Now for the nerds out there curious:
What we see here is called ✨Lepidoblastic Texture✨, which is a metamorphic texture in which platy or tabular minerals are aligned to produce a planar fabric.
Meaning all the minerals like to do the conga because it is the only way to cope without breaking from the massive amount of workload their boss just gave them.
Also the winner of favourite basic rock form goes to:
Sedimentary Rocks

A beautiful thinsection from a blueschist, with garnet, glaucophane, albite, chlorite, and muscovite.
@saltyglazedbread described the garnet-albite interaction as a garnet human centipede to me in the practical.
