Eclipse x Monty is one of the most underrated ships. They’re absolutely horrible for each other and I love it.

I agree with that one post that said Lunar was a cooler character back when he was morally grey. He was like this naive and innocent kid, but in a bad way. Like he lacked empathy. He just wanted to have fun and not be bored. He was fully okay with others being hurt or killed. Heck, he was fully okay with torturing Moon by moving around a lot. He knew it hurt him, and he intentionally moved his arms a lot to do it. And the fact that Moon never once lashed out at him like he did to Sun always bugged me, but that's a whole other post on its own. And when Eclipse started messing with his want for fun, and then hit him, Lunar was fully okay with Eclipse getting hurt or killed. He just had zero empathy, and latched onto those who could help him get what he wanted, like Monty and Moon. I don't know how to describe it, but he was just so fun to think about because he was just like Eclipse. He lacked empathy and was only out for himself in the end. He used others to get what he wanted. It came off as innocent and like a child because of his voice and the way he acted, and he used that despite him saying he wasn't really a kid. It was honestly such a neat take on an innocent type character. And I really loved it. I know they changed him to be more nice because the fans loved him so much, but part of me always wished he'd kind of stayed almost a villain. It feels like the fans acted like everything he said and did was okay or excused, so the writing suddenly switched up to him being this poor baby and everything he said and did was actually okay instead of messed up. I don't know, I'm just ranting at this point. I wish I knew how to put it into better words. I like Lunar now, but I loved the old Lunar.

I wish Eclipse's statement of "the stars are alive" had turned out a lil more... eldritch horror-y.

I feel kinda bad saying this because I know eldritch horror is already a hard vibe to capture, doubly so in vrchat of all formats. But the way he said it like the realization made him sick to his stomach had itched a brain scratch in me so hard!! and it had been going pretty well for a while, even Gemini's first appearance was still doing a good job at keeping the vibe!

But I guess, when you have to make them proper characters, it also means that you have to make the unknowable..... knowable. And I'm not opposed to what they've done with the gemini twins! Stars know that the robot/angel dynamic of Lumini makes me ascend to the next plane, but I just wish they had that air of ominous mysteriousness back.

I'm hoping newer astrals or the negative astrals will help amp up that vibe again (Rez has done wonders for it tbh) but. shrug. i'll learn to live with it either way

Unpopular but it’s mine

The sun and moon show fan songs are not good in any standard of music, they lack tune rhythm hook and melody, the lyrics are stuffed with too much lore for just one song

Not saying I could do better, I most certainly could not

And I’m sure the person who makes them is amazing, this is just my opinion

I have a headcanon that Solar (and, by extension, Eclipse) are the type to try to hide their reaction to something really funny. Like Ryan Stiles and the "tapiooooca~!" joke on Whose Line is it Anyway.

I'm just imagining Lunar and Earth roping Solar into playing Gang Beasts and their antics are just making him fight SO HARD to keep his composure. Then they get to the street level and Buffy the Flying Walrus gets hit by signs. Many, many times.

I'd imagine Solar would be dumbfounded at first, but as it keeps going he's eventually just trying (and failing) to hide his laughter through breathing. He's trying to take steady inhales, and then disguise his laughing with long exhales.

Earth and Lunar know this and they are NOT HELPING. THEY WANT TO BREAK HIM WITH SILLINESS. XD
