Fic Summary: Reader and George meet as kids soon after she moves to Liverpool with her parents. Told throughout pieces of their childhood together, we see their friendship grow and the consequences of waiting too long.

Chapter Summary: This chapter takes place over a couple of years after George and Reader have started at their respective schools. We see George’s love of rock-n-roll begin to take off.

It didn’t take you very long to realize you were being slightly dramatic in the first term at your new school. In the weeks and months following, you had made new acquaintances and friends in your classes, and you never reached the point of “missing” your best friend. 

You didn’t necessarily have the same friendship with them as you did with George, they remained your school-friends and that was it, but you were happy with that.
