um my poor man Yook Dong Sik has been on screen for a good 30 minutes and has been verbally accosted by two men (his boss, who also kicked him, and a homeless man), used as a scapegoat for shady shit, lost his job (as far as I can tell) over said shady shit, been literally thrown around by an old man at some form of birthday??? and then yelled at by his... dad? Some old guy...

can I just,,, give him a hug??? Please?

"parallels" (idk what words mean) between seo inwoo and seo moonjo

1. pretty red lighting

two pictures. the one above shows a zoom in of seo moonjo from 'strangers from hell' with red lighting over his face, looking to the side. the one under is seo inwoo from 'psychopath diary', looking at a blurry shape in front of the camera, with red lighting over his face.

2. having rooftops meet-cute

Episode 9: everyone thinks Director Seo is infatuated with Dong-sik

Video description: one of Dong-sik's coworkers tells him that he needs to be appreciated by his superiors, right before Dong-sik gets a called from Director Seo, who wants to get dinner with him at his father's restaurant. Everyone watches as he leaves to take the call. In the next scene, Dong-sik's father boasts about his meat, before the other members of the family come to compliment Director Seo, before Dong-sik insists that they leave.

two pictures. in the one above, dong-sik's colleague tells him 'because of director seo, you're untouchable now'. in the second one, dong-sik looks at him with surprise/confusion/concern.

Rewatching Psychopath Diary and Strangers from Hell really makes me wonder if someone was working on both sets at the same time because the amount of things in common...

A. GENERAL STUFF

1- both came out in 2019

2- contain a song by The Rose (or its lead singer, Kim Woo-sung)

3- similar themes (murderers) (although that's about 99% of k-dramas)

B. YOON JONGWOO AND YOOK DONGSIK

1- both writers

2- work an office job

3- annoying coworker/sort of friend called Jae-ho

4- their superior hate them

5- fantasize about murder (like, a lot)

6- (threaten to) beat up one of their colleagues with weird objects

two pictures, on top of the other. above, dong-sik raising a toilet lid, while someone is at his feet, trying to protect themselve. in the one underneath, jong-woo ready to smash a cup on someone's head.

7- one parent that works in the food industry, the other that is nowhere to be seen

5- gets kidnapped by one of the killers at some point

6- work based on their instincts
