when he first started developing feelings for you, he's this stuttering mess that couldn't function properly if you're in the same room as him. that spanned for about the entirety of high school. however, because you're classmates since high school, you're bound to have some interactions. the small crush he harbors for you since freshman year of high school grows over time and it morphs into this ball of confidence, which leads to him confessing to you while you out of the blue during university. he feels too much for you, even if it's unrequited at first that every minuscule thing you do from across the room, opens up this jar of butterflies in his ribcage. he feels every beat of their wings when you smile at him every time you meet each other's gazes. jean will give you random snacks throughout the day, bringing you a cup of boba from the university's teahouse or a packed lunch if he's feeling like it. don't worry, he'll text you beforehand that he made you lunch.
