I see a lot of references to the scene in Goodbye Stranger where Dean, on his knees, begs Cas to come back to himself (and to Dean), and I see a lot of reference to Dean referring to praying as begging, but not a lot about how these scenes are literally in back to back episodes? Dean Winchester really said I don't pray because it feels like begging, but I'll pray to you, and then in the literal next episode said fuck it, let's drop the pretense, I am begging. I need you.

dean and cas fighting with each others weapons of choice so easily because they’re so in sync. they’re in the middle of a battle, back to back, and dean passes his gun from his right hand to cas’ left hand while cas slips the angel blade from his right hand into dean’s left. and they move so fluidly, dean slashing a vampire in the neck with the blade while cas shoots at some vamps up on the hill a short distance away because he can see further in the dark than dean can. and then they’ll flip weapons again, the transition flawless as they back and forth the gun and the blade until all the vamps are dead. dean turns, grinning at cas as he bumps their shoulders together and says, “always knew you were a good shot”

okay so eventually after theyve lived together for a bit, Wade and Logan have moved past stabbings for eVery transgression, at least inside (al does nOt like waking up and slipping in puddles of blood) and then when Logan needs to get Wade to shut up he'll just put his hand over his mouth

it doesn't work for very long and it usually ends with Wade licking his hand, but it's enough to interrupt the stream of conscious

and a while after that, maybe after they start dating maybe not, they're having A Discussion that for whatever reason makes Wade very uncomfortable, and he's rambling and rambling and whatever he says is making whatever is wrong worse and his jokes are making even less sense than usual and he's panicking and his mouth tries to cover it up with more words and he can't stop no matter how much he wants to and if he had any hair he'd rip it out just to get himself to shut the fuck up

and he reaches over and grabs Logan's hand and slams it against his mouth

he stops talking. he takes a deep breath. Logan is staring at him with some combination of amused, fond, and whatever's relevant to whatever they were talking about

and now that's just a thing Wade does every now and then. not often, usually just when he's really upset and he can feel himself self sabotaging, it helps
