So we started watching a random 2017 anime called 18if about an otherwise generic teen boy who enters the dream worlds of comatose girls who have supernatural dream powers. I know it sounds like the setup for a real bad anime and granted we only watched the first three, but it’s an anthology series where every episode has a different director, see, and the first episode seems like it’s setting up a mostly lighthearted, kind of videogamey series, the girl is someone lashing out from stress and bullying and he fights her with a sword until she wakes up. Nothing too intense. Seemed kinda like a show for kids? Maybe just slightly edgy? But then the very second episode is about a girl who’s using dream powers to absolutely torture, mutilate and murder the three teen boys who murdered her own family just as hideously, also yes it causes this to happen to their real bodies in real life, and the series protagonist guy is tasked by another character with stopping her because “she’s still breaking the law” and “killing for revenge is wrong” and you know the drill you know how this little weiner goody two shoes narc shit always goes in these plots, right Well SPOILERS for a six year old anime nobody’s heard of but

 by the end of the episode he’s personally crushed the last murderer’s skull after she broke the rest of his bones, then he never turns her in. No remorse no hesitation no guilt and no cops, hell yeah, however the rest of this series goes that ruled
