It's funny to see people argue whether Odysseus or Eurylochus are to blame with what happened in the Thunder Saga, because true Greek Enthusiasts that hyperfixated with the mythology as a kid know that if you need to blame someone in Greek mythology the person to blame is always Zeus. Or Hermes. Or Apollo. Or Athena.

It's always the gods fault, indirectly or directly.

As much as I love the idea that Jason Grace has no idea how fucked up his childhood was, my personal headcannon is that Jason knows exactly how messed up his childhood was and is completely numb to it.

That would not stop him from trying like hell to make sure nobody else goes through what he went through
