a/n: I have a love hate relationship with writing

I'm getting sick of Matt's tough guy attitude.

The constant ignoring, snarky remarks, and just overall his bad mood has really been getting to me lately. So, earlier today I decided I was going to talk to him.

"Matt?" I say, glancing over at him. He looks at me for a moment, the same irritated look on his face that he's been wearing for weeks.

"What?" His response is harsh.

"Can we talk about something?" I ask, putting my phone down.

"Like what?" He asks, scrolling through Instagram.

I sigh. "Like maybe how you've been ignoring me every time I talk to you?"

"I'm not ignoring you right now, am I?"

"Well, no-"

"Then what's the issue?" He sighs, rolling his eyes.

"Matt, you don't treat me like your girlfriend anymore!" I say, getting frustrated.

"Relax, it's not that big of a deal," Matt mumbles, getting up and tossing his phone on the bed.

I grab his arm. "No, you don't get to walk away from this. Why are you being so angry all of a sudden?"

Matt yanks his arm away from me, and i feel a little break in my heart. "I'm not angry, don't accuse me of things that aren't true!" He spits out, his jaw clenching.

"This is exactly what I'm talking about!" I say, exasperated. "I'm just asking, Matt. This whole thing you have going on, it's wearing on our relationship."

Matt spins around. "Don't say that," he says, anger in his eyes.

"Don't say what? The truth?" I say, raising my voice. "Matt, you barely kiss me anymore! What's going on?" I try to search his face, but his expression has fallen blank. "Do you want to be with me anymore?"

Matt sighs, and sits on the bed next to me. "Of course i still want to be with you," he murmurs, picking at the duvet.

"Then treat me like it," I say firmly. "I'm your girlfriend, Matt. We're supposed to be in this together. This relationship isn't meant to be one-sided." Matt says nothing, but nods, looking down at his lap. I sigh and scoot closer to him. I gently cup his cheek, guiding him to face me. "What's wrong, Matty?"

He leans forward and gently hugs me, pressing his face into my neck. "I'm sorry," he whispers. I gently run my fingers through his hair. "I'm sorry i treated you like you're not there."

"It's alright, Matt," I say softly, my eyes trained on the wall across from me. "We all go through rough spots sometimes. Just promise me that when this happens you'll talk to me instead of ignoring me."

Matt picks up his head and kisses me gently.

"Promise me, Matt," I whisper between kisses.

Matt pulls away just enough to meet my eyes, his lips brushing mine. "I promise," he murmurs before pressing his lips to mine once more.

━ you wanted to take the cute little 'love language' quiz with chris but the minute you guys made it official chris couldn't keep his hands off you and you knew your answer.

━ he always needs to be near you, talking to you, or touching you, at least one of the three, and preferably the third one in his opinion.

━ whenever you guys are sitting next to one another he's either basically on top of you or telling you to scoot closer, and doesn't tell you to stop until you're straight up sitting on his lap

━ speaking of sitting on his lap, he absolutely loves when you sit on his lap. he's always like 'damn this is my girlfriend.'

━ whenever it's you, chris, and his brothers in the car (if the car is moving or not), chris always sits in the back with you and he's sitting as close and humanly possible, usually with a hand resting on your thigh as well.

━ of course the cheesy cliche stuff like constant hand holding, lots go hugs and kisses, him playing with your hair, etc.. even though chris has no idea what he's doing literally ever, he loves trying to do your hair.

━ sometimes when you're talking in a group of friends, chris will just start playing with your hand and start intertwining them with his own. you used to think it was weird when he first started doing it but now you genuinely start to worry when he doesn't do it.

━ chris just straight up starting to makeout with you no matter who is in the room. nick and matthew hattteeeee it. "can you guys fucking not do that maybe? thanks."

━ when you guys are sleeping together, chris always wants to be cuddled really close to each other. although he'll never admit it to anyone but you, he loves being the small spoon. one time in a car video there was literally a question that asked "small spoon or big spoon?' and chris said he prefers big spoon and nick and matthew were quick to call him out. "what are you saying? you're always begging y/n to let you be the small spoon." chris put up a fight, knowing deep down they were right.
