you giggled silently to yourself as you watched youtube on your laptop, trying not to wake your boyfriend or his brothers up, you were the only one still awake….. or so you thought.

it was the 8th night on tour with your boyfriend, and every day was busy, night time was really the only time you had for yourself, so you really enjoyed it.

“what are you doing?” you heard someone mumble, you weren’t sure which one it was……sometimes they sounded too identical, especially when mumbling.

your face was full of dismay, scared you woke one of the three brothers up. you paused your youtube video, opened up your bunk’s curtain, and peered your head over the bunk’s railing. “what?” you asked softly, still scared of being loud.

“what are you doing?” the voice came from the bunk below you, your boyfriend’s bunk.

“i’m watching youtube.” you whisper back with a smile, although you’re basically smiling to yourself, he couldn’t see you.

“can i come up?” chris asks, although there’s definitely not enough room for both of you to fit, the tour bunks were way too small for comfort. “yes.” you giggle. you loved when your boyfriend wanted to be closer to you, you loved feeling wanted.

christopher stomped his way up to your bunk, seeming to not care that his brothers were sleeping literally 3 feet away. before you knew it chris was crawling his way up your body, and just plopping his dead weight onto you. “i miss you.” he says, resting his head on your boob.

“what do you mean? i’m right here.” you giggle.

“tours been draining, i don’t get to spend as much time with you. i just always want to be by you and i’m sad i can’t be.” chris is still laying on top of you, you can’t see his facial expressions as he’s talking but you can tell he really means what he’s saying.

“i miss you too.” you give him reassurance.

“i just want to be close to you.” he moves his head so he’s now looking at you, it’s dark but somehow his blue eyes are still sparkling as he looks at you. “you’re so beautiful y/n. i love you, i really do.” you always knew your boyfriend could get emotional at night, but not like this.

“i love you too.”

“kiss?” he puckered his lips and squinted his eyes dramatically.

“so that’s the real reason why you came up here?” you moved your hand on top of his head, rubbing your fingers through his hair.

“nooooooo.”

I'm getting sick of Matt's tough guy attitude.

The constant ignoring, snarky remarks, and just overall his bad mood has really been getting to me lately. So, earlier today I decided I was going to talk to him.

"Matt?" I say, glancing over at him. He looks at me for a moment, the same irritated look on his face that he's been wearing for weeks.

"What?" His response is harsh.

"Can we talk about something?" I ask, putting my phone down.

"Like what?" He asks, scrolling through Instagram.

I sigh. "Like maybe how you've been ignoring me every time I talk to you?"

"I'm not ignoring you right now, am I?"

"Well, no-"

"Then what's the issue?" He sighs, rolling his eyes.

"Matt, you don't treat me like your girlfriend anymore!" I say, getting frustrated.

"Relax, it's not that big of a deal," Matt mumbles, getting up and tossing his phone on the bed.

I grab his arm. "No, you don't get to walk away from this. Why are you being so angry all of a sudden?"

Matt yanks his arm away from me, and i feel a little break in my heart. "I'm not angry, don't accuse me of things that aren't true!" He spits out, his jaw clenching.

"This is exactly what I'm talking about!" I say, exasperated. "I'm just asking, Matt. This whole thing you have going on, it's wearing on our relationship."

Matt spins around. "Don't say that," he says, anger in his eyes.

"Don't say what? The truth?" I say, raising my voice. "Matt, you barely kiss me anymore! What's going on?" I try to search his face, but his expression has fallen blank. "Do you want to be with me anymore?"

Matt sighs, and sits on the bed next to me. "Of course i still want to be with you," he murmurs, picking at the duvet.

"Then treat me like it," I say firmly. "I'm your girlfriend, Matt. We're supposed to be in this together. This relationship isn't meant to be one-sided." Matt says nothing, but nods, looking down at his lap. I sigh and scoot closer to him. I gently cup his cheek, guiding him to face me. "What's wrong, Matty?"

He leans forward and gently hugs me, pressing his face into my neck. "I'm sorry," he whispers. I gently run my fingers through his hair. "I'm sorry i treated you like you're not there."

"It's alright, Matt," I say softly, my eyes trained on the wall across from me. "We all go through rough spots sometimes. Just promise me that when this happens you'll talk to me instead of ignoring me."

Matt picks up his head and kisses me gently.

"Promise me, Matt," I whisper between kisses.

Matt pulls away just enough to meet my eyes, his lips brushing mine. "I promise," he murmurs before pressing his lips to mine once more.
