![A title reads "Aromanticism Commonality" with the word aromanticism striped in greens, white and grey to make the aromantic flag. A featureless grey character says "I'm not [X] but I believe in their beliefs"
A little text on the bottom right reads "(Don't take this too seriously)"

I'd like to add a little thought:
Woman are also tought, more than in other places, that they are different from men, and that men are different from woman.
That they should hide and, especally becourse it's called 'safe space', it implies that a woman is never safe elsewhere.
(I personally think it sends a stronger sign to young girls, and that young boys don't even think about this segregation that much.
(Keyword: changing rooms f.e. in schools, elemantary schools)
All are thought that it's normal to be different, but only girls have the external influence that allows them to realise what this seggragation is for: to differenciate, and for them to be 'safe' and 'proper')
It directly supports the schoolground seggragation, and I really fucking hate it.
Children are not aware that boys and girls are 'different' from each other until they are put in a pink dress and boys must wear blue trousers.
(Children have preferences: ask them! from an early age on!)
(Most children are not even aware that the concept exists until people start to mention gender & sex and treat childen differently. Other children are just other children.)
Or the teachers behaviour!
Praising girls and boys for different things, telling boys ' oh your such a cute boy, you will be so handsome when you grow up.'
I'd go so far to say that every mention of gender and gendertypical behaviour assigned to a group slowly but surly impacts how children see themselves and others, and base these assumtions and views on gender. They will avoid and ridicule gender tipical or atipical behaviour until most have to a apply to a standard and can't discover more about themselves unless they want to die a social su!c!de.
I could go on and on about the topic, but the main message stands:
Gender seggregation is harmful, and it starts at the earliest stages of life, forcing children to adhere to societys gender standards and preventing the cistipical genders form forming connections or seeing each other as: the same.
(please note english is not my first language)
(:the same.' was very intentional though)
the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
Shoutout to whoever decided the 'land of the dead' has to be in france
Was curious how far Ithaca was from troy today while listening to epic the musical and rereading the illiad and I found this map

I think odysseus would have been better just to walkđ
I had just downloaded the whole thing on spotify and was so confused when suddenly there was another part.
Like 'huh, where did this come from'
Guess who just got into the 'Epic' musical series without any prior knowledge about it two days before a new part droppend. I swear ( i dont, actually) i am favoured by someone out there.
Songs and lyrics that are very aro/ace-spec coded either in or out of context:
âOh, my, love is a lieâ - Hits Different by Taylor Swift
âI know that it might sound jaded, but I have to say; I think love is overrated, but I donât like throwing it awayâ - Crash and Burn by Thomas Rhett
âPlease, I've been on my knees; Change the prophecy; Don't want money, just someone who wants my companyâ - The Prophecy by Taylor Swift
The Bolter by Taylor Swift
Good Enough for Now by Weird Al
champagne problems by Taylor Swift
âSurreal, I'm damned if I do give a damn what people say; No deal, the 1950s shit they want from meâ - Lavender Haze by Taylor Swift
Itâs Nice to Have a Friend by Taylor Swift
You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi
One Way or Another by Blondie
Some of these I can give a concrete reason why it feels aspec coded. Some of them I can't.
Feel free to add!
More favourite tropes:
âUnfortunately, [thing that would ordinarily be described in much stronger terms than âunfortunateâ].â Â
âFortunately, [thing that is in no way fortunate].â Â
âUnfortunately, [thing that would be fortunate in nearly any circumstance except the particular circumstance at hand].â Â
âFortunately, [very minor benefit that absolutely does not offset the considerable drawbacks of whatever just happened].â Â
âUnfortunately, [the exact, word-for-word thing that somebody just expressed that they hope wonât happen].â Â
âFortunately, [complete non sequitur].â
