Basically the new update (I'm on the SP beta) allows users to pick what data is available to what "bucket" - users assign their Simply Plural friends to privacy levels and assign an emoji to each bucket. You can make as many as you want and then assign them to alters, groups, custom fields and custom fronts.

Using mine as an example: My profile is tagged as "all friends"

Emoji/text signature is assigned to all friends, enneagram is assigned to trusted friends, and gender identity is assigned to all friends

Once you get your head around them it makes total sense and is super helpful
