Shout out to the systems who have "bad" alters. Shout out to the systems who have "undesirable" alters. Shout out to the systems who have alters with morbid or dark interests. Shout out to the systems who have introjects based on bad people - real or fictional. Shout out to systems who have alters who make it unsafe for them to front.

I don't know who else needs to hear this, but living as a system, as a collective, instead of a singular identity is not anti-recovery. It's not a crime to be open about such an intrinsic, undeniable part of yourself.

Having Resolution [functional multiplicity/plurality] as an end goal is not anti-recovery. Recovery is not the same for everyone, and to assume that it is the same is to be close-minded.

It is not anti-recovery to want system friends or system partners. Or have them, for that matter. I see a lot of unusual people on r/fdc say that wanting system friends or partners is anti-recovery. It's not. You can want friends who are systems- aka those who will fully understand your unique struggles as a system.

Living functionally as a system is not being ''half healed''. Whoever made up that notion is kind of??? questionable at best. You can have worked through trauma recovery and still have functional multiplicity/plurality as a goal or have reached that point of being functional.

*maladaptive daydreaming: a mental health issue that causes a person to lose themselves in complex daydreams. these daydreams are usually a coping mechanism for other mental health conditions or adverse circumstances.

a banner with a white heart over the system pride flag on the left (four horizontal stripes: white, lilac, teal & dark grey); on the right it says in white on a teal background "consider reblogging to increase the sample size" with a heart emoticon.

bonus question: how does maladaptive daydreaming affect your alters/innerworld/system as a whole? have you ever daydreamed *about* your system? - amaranth.

Maybe little unconventional things that helped me lose weight

- Chew your food thoroughly: Chewing each bite thoroughly can aid in digestion and help you feel full faster, reducing the likelihood of overeating.

- Drink cold water: Drinking cold water can slightly increase your metabolism as your body works to warm it up, burning a few extra calories in the process.

- Use smaller plates and utensils: Eating from smaller plates and using smaller utensils can trick your brain into thinking you're consuming more food, leading to reduced portion sizes and calorie intake.

- Stand more: Spending more time standing rather than sitting throughout the day can help burn additional calories and improve overall metabolism.

- Laugh more: Laughter not only reduces stress but also engages your abdominal muscles, burning a small number of calories with each chuckle.

- Brush your teeth after meals: Brushing your teeth immediately after eating can serve as a signal to your brain that mealtime is over, reducing the temptation to snack unnecessarily.

- Sip on green tea: Green tea contains compounds that may boost metabolism and promote fat burning, making it a beneficial beverage choice for weight loss.

- Practice mindful eating: Paying close attention to the taste, texture, and sensations of each bite can enhance satisfaction and prevent mindless overeating.

- Spicy foods: Spicy foods containing capsaicin can temporarily increase metabolism and suppress appetite, aiding in weight loss efforts.

- Get quality sleep: Prioritize getting enough high-quality sleep, as inadequate sleep can disrupt hormones that regulate appetite and lead to weight gain.
