Everyone should try sculpting with clay. Even if your bad at it and have no artistic touch at all. Even if its cheap air dry clay. You should try sculpt some figures.
Because once you have tried it, visit any museum who is hosting a exhibition of prehistoric or ancient stuff.
Look at the little clay sculptures. Look at the imperfections. Look at how the thumb prints, the uneven anatomy, the way thick coils of clay are rolled between someones palms the exact same way you also would have done it. Look at how there are marks from fingernails just like you would do. Thousands of years may pass but human hands shape clay just the same.
