Hey when talking about AdminBright (AB) specifically can we just call them by AB, Michael Peters (it’s public info), or Duckman instead of using the name Bright to help others show who were are actually talking about (and quite honestly to differentiate character and author?)

Like i have seen some opmany people think Jack Bright is Duckmans name, and that’s just incorrect, like Yes Bright is/was a nickname for Duckman but I think it’ll be a lot better than using their current nicknames (AB, Duckman) or even known birth name (Michael).

Is this an attempt at differentiating the two as seperate entities? In a way, and very well could read as such. And honestly? It’s just better in so many ways and much more correct. Whether you like it or not people will still use Bright, people will still make their own 963 character to fill a void, or use Shaw. So probably best to block and move on instead of sending dumb threats, go outside.

And on a second seperate note: Duckman may have created the character, and yes they unfortunately used him as a device to hurt people the fandom and other writers on the wiki has given Bright an actual personality, goals, dreams, and just in general layers. While not the same, we have had people who used a fictional character a lot to hurt others, and sometimes that hurt is extreme enough to the point where we cannot bear to see. I get that, I’ve had people use characters to hurt me badly. But while it gives me great discomfort I know that other people had found joy in it, and that makes me happy, I don’t lash out at these individuals who like the character a lot even if I was severely hurt, I just smile that people have found safety with them where I cannot. And that’s okay. Im happy people found happiness with Shaw, im happy people found happiness in their own 963 ocs, im happy people still use Jack Bright despite everything.

What Im not happy about is when people threaten each other, send hateful anon messages or straight up bully on other socials just because one uses bright or uses Shaw. It’s fucking stupid and it’s been turning into a real nasty mess. Get offline, touch some grass, there are other far more important things in life than an internet drama. If you feel that someone is using the character maliciously than report them, hell let people know (WITH proof and evidence, all claims are just allegations without a form of evidence) so others don’t get hurt.

Be respectful. Be courteous. If you don’t like someone, just block, don’t send threats even if it really boils your blood. Do something calming instead.

As said, use names AB, Duckman or Michael instead. And to respect each other, it’s a damn shame that half of y’all are (bodily) adults who are pulling this shit.
