In honor of Tumblr'a latest fuckup, here's a blast from the past: You used to be able to send asks of any arbitrary length, including line breaks, and you could add as many links as you wanted.
I doubt many will see this but...
Looking around and finding out a bit more information, I have gotten a bit more insight into this Tumblr nuking issue.
The problem seems to be that Apple removed the Tumblr App from the Apple Store ( I asked my friend to verify this and it is in fact not on the Apple store but is still on the Android store ). Seems Apple did not like the amount of porn bots just spamming all over the place.
Tumblr tried to fix the problem which is probably the source of what happened on November 16th hence all the screen shots posted from people then. Both NSFW and SFW blogs have been getting terminated. This is not solely an attack on NSFW artists. This is Tumblr fucking up pretty bad ( pretty sure that is equally as bad but at least it isn’t an attack ).
From what it seems, if you marked your blog as NSFW, you were mostly ignored in this situation because you were already flagged as such so Tumblr didn’t need to do anything. Some NSFW artists may be caught in the crossfire because they didn’t mark their blogs as NSFW or have a NSFW blog linked to them. It seems you can message Tumblr support and get your blog back.
How accurate this is can be completely debatable as I don’t work with Apple or Tumblr staff but I don’t like to just jump on bandwagons without figuring things out first. I am also only saying this as someone who has never been caught in these crossfires despite the multiple times it has happened.
Again, this isn’t 100% true but it may help some people.

hey so like i never use this blog like ever but i know a few folks i follow use ko-fi and word on the street is that they're cracking down HARD on nsfw content. like, people are having their thingies taken offline for so much as linking to nsfw patreons/galleries through their ko-fi. idk if the people having problems are specifically doing written or drawn or photographic nsfw but i figured i'd post about it jic??
honestly? writing self-indulgent expansion stuff (basically just writing down my favorite fantasy scenarios) helped me get back into writing outside of this. so if your brain's yearning to churn out pointless smut, do that, because that will get you in the habit of just writing words down, building scenarios, creating characters, etc
How do you work up the will to write?
Just by doing it, mostly. Like, that might seem like a flippant answer but, like with everything, you need to build yourself up before you can run a marathon or compete in the Olympics. The white wall of a fresh text document can seem insurmountable, but it is much the same principle. If you are starting out and have never written something beyond an essay for school, the best advice I can give you is something I am borrowing from #TinyChallenges. At the core, writing is a habit, so make it one. Open a word processor the first time you sit down at you computer for the day or when you go to look at Tumblr or whatever, start a new post. You do not have to write anything, it is about forming the connection with ‘i have a couple minutes, why not do this.’ Then, of course, you have the White Wall of nothing. Which, after opening an app to write with is the most dissuading thing for new writers. However, the wall just looks high. Start your ascent by thinking of a phrase, any phrase will do. Now, write it at the top of that new page. Again, what you chose is not really important. What is important is that the page is longer blank. An idea lives there now and you have a handhold. It might not be the idea you were actively thinking about, but it was something on your mind. So celebrate the little victory of giving one of your ideas form.Now, just do that agian–except make the phrase support the first. Have someone speaking, have the action follow the phrase, describe the phrase further. Then keep doing that until you feel like you have nothing more to say about the first phrase. You just completed a paragraph! Pretty cool, right?I know that sounds so elemental, but those actions are what give writing a shape. Once you see them broken out like that, it easier to see how a giant novel is stitched together – because it is all just one sentence at a time.
