Ha - I was just being obnoxious in my request. Love what you added to the ending! Thank you again, you are so talented. It’s nice to be able to disappear from life a bit while reading your writings and be transported to another world.
P.S. meant to say before the pics you added are perfection; exactly the right look🤍

I Will Stay By Your Side: Frodo x Fem! Reader
@mnmerrit6902 said: I’d like to request a Frodo Baggins imagine? Scenario: Frodo gets stabbed on Weathertop and y/n stays at his side and she gets extremely protective of him, even while he’s recovering and she never leaves his side.
I absolutely love this! It’s been a while since I’ve done a request for Lord of The Rings. Frodo is such a sweet Hobbit and didn’t at all deserve what he went through. I honestly wish he could have stayed in Middle Earth in Return of The King. I’m getting off track. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this.

You looked at Frodo, all packed for the journey your friend would have to take. Frodo sighed and smiled sadly.
“[Y/N], I’m sorry, but you can’t come with me. Not this time.” He said. You smiled and rose your eyebrows in challenge.
“Have you not learned how stubborn I can be? Frodo, both Bilbo and Gandalf asked me not to leave you, to stick with you and protect you. And that is what I will do. I will stay by your side, and you aren’t going to get rid of me.” You said. Frodo smiled and sighed.
“Well, the more the merrier.” He said.

It had been a few days since you and your fellow Hobbits, Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin had left the Shire and made for the village of Bree. There, you had met a Ranger of the North called Strider, who had claimed to be a friend of Gandalf the Gray. You all hurriedly followed Strider away from Bree, across country.
“Where are you taking us?” Frodo asked as Strider walked ahead of the four of you. “Into the wild.” Strider muttered. Merry walked up closer to you and Frodo, who were walking close behind Strider. “How do we know this Strider is a friend of Gandalf?” Merry asked warily. Frodo glanced back at Merry.
“I think a servant of the enemy would look fairer, but feel fouler.” Frodo said. Merry glared at Strider’s back. “He’s foul enough.” Merry muttered. You vaguely saw Strider tilt his head, as if hearing into the conversation. You looked at Merry.
“We have no choice but to trust him. Besides, if Frodo trusts him, then so do I.” You said. Frodo looked at you with a thankful smile. Merry let out a breath. Sam, who was at the back of the group and leading a poor pony named Bill, asked, “But where is he leading us?” Strider spoke up so that all of you could hear. “To Rivendell Master Gamgee.” Strider called. “To the House of Elrond.” Strider said. Your eyes widened. Rivendell, but that was the home of the Elves. “D'you hear that!” Sam asked, his voice layered with excitement. “Rivendell! We’re going to see the elves!” Sam said. You all continued to walk through the woodland. Through rain and snow, only stopping to rest at nightfall.
You all continued to walk over the top of the hills, arriving at the ruins of a temple. Strider stared at the ruins. “This was the great watch tower of Amon Sol,” Strider said. He turns to look at you all. “We shall rest here tonight.” He said. You breathed heavily from walking, thankful to be sitting down and a chance to catch your breath. Strider looked down upon the valley, the wind blowing through his hair. Strider turned back and bent down. He unwrapped some small swords and handed them to each of you. “These are for you. Keep them close. I’m going to have a look around.” Strider said. Each Hobbit unsheathed their swords, looking at them in aw. Strider looked back at you all. “Stay here.” He said, and walked off. You looked down at your sword and pulled it out of its scabbard. The pommel was silver, while the grip was a dark black leather. The fuller and edge were silver as well, looking very sharp, ready to defend and kill if need be. After a few hours, you saw Frodo sitting on the edge of the ruins. You walked over.
“Thinking about Gandalf?” You asked. Frodo looked at you as you sat next to him, pulling your skirt down over your legs to keep them warm. Frodo sighed and nodded, looking out over the fields again.
“I was so hopeful that he would have been at the Prancing Pony, but he wasn’t,” he looked over at you. “I’m worried, [Y/N].” He said. You sighed and gave him a smile. You took his hand in yours, giving it a comforting squeeze.
“I’m worried to, Frodo. I, honestly have no idea what this journey will bring to us, but I can promise you this,” Frodo looked away for a moment. You placed your hand on his cheek and gently turned his head towards you. “Gandalf is a wise and powerful wizard. If he didn’t meat us at the Prancing Pony, then he will most certainly meet us at Rivendell.” You said. You gently stroked your thumb against is soft cheek. “Do not give up hope, Frodo Baggins. I am here for you, and I will stay by your side.” You said. Frodo stared into your eyes, seeing the sincerity and honesty behind them. Frodo gave a smile and covered your hand with his own.
“Thank you, [Y/N]. I’m so happy you’re here with me.” He said. You smiled.
“Sleep now, Frodo. We will be to Rivendell before you know it.” You said. Frodo sighed and lay down, resting his head in your lap. You gently ran your fingers through his curls, helping him to close his eyes.

“My tomato’s burst!” A voice whispered. You jumped, hearing a voice whisper. You opened your eyes and realized that you yourself had fallen asleep. You looked around and your eyes widened at what you saw. Merry, Pippin, and Sam were sitting around a fire, making a meal. Your eyes widened. If they had this going, this would lead the Nazgul right to you all!
“What are you doing?” You shouted, shaking Frodo from his sleep. Merry gestured to the fire.
“Tomatoes, sausages, nice crispy bacon.” Merry said. Sam was holding two plates in his hands.
“Saved some for you Mr. Frodo, Ms. [Y/N].” Sam said. While you appreciated Sam thinking about both you and Frodo, now was not the time for a fire nor was it the time for food. Frodo scrambled to his feet.
“Put it out you fools! Put it out!” Frodo shouted, stamping on the fire, putting it out. “Well that’s nice! That’s nice! Ash on my tomatoes!” Pippen complained. Suddenly, bone chilling screeches of the Nazgul were heard. Your eyes widened and the four of you rushed to the edge of the ruins, looking down at the fields. Your breathing picked up as you saw the see four Nazgul striding towards the Watch Tower. You swallowed heavily.
“I don’t think your tomatoes matter at the moment, Pip.” You muttered, fear evident in your voice. Frodo suddenly drew his sword and pushed you all. “Go!” He shouted. Despite you wanting to stay put and hide, your were forced to run with your friends. The four of you arrived to stand in the middle of a circle of pillars, standing back to back. You all looked around frantically, your hearts beating out of control, looking for any sign of the evil hunting you. Suddenly Frodo stopped and looked between two pillars. A Nazgul slowly advanced between them. Frodo looked horrified. The Nazgul drew his sword and held it before its face. Five Nazgul now walk slowly towards you all, swords held in front of them. As they got closer they held their swords out pointed towards the group, who were walking backwards. Sam was the first to find his courage. “Back you Devils!” He shouted. He swung at one of the Nazgul with his sword. It did very little as the Nazgul swiped back at him knocking him back into a rock. You stood in front of Frodo protectively as one of the Nazgul grabbed Merry and Pippen, throwing them aside. Frodo backed away and dropped his sword. You turned in shock and fear.
“Frodo!” You shouted. You glared at the Nazgul. “I will kill you if you touch him!” You shouted. Though you were terrified, you knew you had to be brave for Frodo. Frodo scrambled backwards until he was against a rock. One of the Nazgul screeched as you swung your sword with absolutely no technique, trying to keep them away. The Nazgul grabbed your cloak and tossed you aside. Your head collided painfully with the rocks around you, making black dots swim before your vision. Through your fuzzy vision, you saw Frodo, who looked terrified. He quickly put the ring on a disappeared. You gasped when you heard Frodo’s cry of pain, the Nazgul looking as if it hadn’t stabbed anything. There as a familiar shout and Strider arrived with a burning torch and waved it around the Nazgul, scaring them away from Frodo. Frodo, groaning with pain, removed the Ring. You shook the darkness away and scrambled to your feet. “Frodo!” You shouted, rushing to Frodo’s side with Sam. Frodo looked at the two of you, grasping your hand in pain.
“Oh [Y/N], Sam.” Frodo muttered, tears of pain streaming down his face. Strider continued to fight off the Nazgul who are screeching, with torch and sword. Strider set light to the clothing of the Nazgul with his torch, scaring them away from the Watch Tower, whilst you and the other Hobbits huddled around Frodo. From behind him, Strider senses the last Nazgul and throws the burning torch into its face. It ran away. Frodo was still moaning with pain. You looked over at the Ranger.
“Strider!” You shouted. Strider quickly made his way over to you four. You looked at him with pleading eyes. “Help him Strider!” You pleaded. Strider picked up a dropped sword on the ground. “He’s been stabbed by a Morgul blade.” Strider said. The sword suddenly burnt up and disappeared into ash. Strider dropped the sword, the weapon falling to the ground with a clank. “This is beyond my skill to heal. He needs elvish medicine.” Strider said. He quickly picked Frodo up and carried him away. You all ran through the woodland, hearing the screeches of the Nazgul behind you. Your eyes remained on Frodo.
“Hurry!” Strider called. The three of you tried to keep up with Strider’s long strides. (slight pun intended).
“It’s six days from Rivendell! He’ll never make it!” Sam shouted. You looked back at the Hobbit.
“Don’t give up hope, Sam!” You shouted. You looked back at Frodo. “Hold on, Frodo.” You muttered.
~~~
Frodo was lying on the ground staring upwards at some huge stone trolls. His head was resting in your lap, you were, as comfortingly as you could, running your fingers through his hair. Sam looked down at Frodo. His skin was pale and his eyes were clouded.
“Look Frodo. It’s Mr. Bilbo’s trolls.” Sam said, smiling slightly. You watched in worry as Frodo gasped for breath.
”Frodo?” You asked. You pressed your hands against his cheeks and looked at Strider in worry. “He’s going cold!” You shouted. Strider stood between the trolls holding a torch aloft. Pippin looked at the Ranger in worry.
“Is he going to die?” Pippin asked. You quickly went back to stroking Frodo’s hair, trying to bring him comfort. You did not know what pain he was feeling, but from the looks of it, he as in immense pain. Strider walked over and looked down at Frodo. “He’s passing into the Shadow world. He’ll soon become a wraith like them.” Strider said. Your heart leapt as Frodo gasped again. You sniffed, trying to blink back tears.
”Oh Frodo, hang on, please.” You whispered. You bent down and gently pressed your lips against his cold forehead. You gasped and looked up as screeches were heard through the woodland. Merry looked around, his eyes widening. “They’re close!” He said. Strider looked to Sam. “Sam! Do you know the Athelas plant?” Strider asked. Sam looked at the Ranger. “Athelas?” Sam asked. Strider nodded. “Kingsfoil.” Strider said. Sam’s eyes widened in recognition of the name.
“Kingsfoil, aye, its a weed!” Sam said. “It may help to slow the poison. Hurry!” Strider said.
You continued to check on Frodo’s temperature, noticing he was going colder and colder by the minute. Suddenly, you heard the sound of a horse. You looked up and saw a beautiful woman. She dismounted and walked toward him.
“Frodo Im Arwen. Telin le thaed. Lasto beth nin. Tolo dan na galad.”* The woman muttered. You recognized the language as Elvish. Frodo gasped and turned away from the woman. You lowered your body over Frodo’s protectively, not wanting anything to harm him more. You looked at Strider. He walked over and placed a hand on your shoulder.
”Do not worry. She is a friend.” He said. With Strider’s reassurance, you leaned up, allowing the She-Elf to get close to Frodo.
“Who is she?” You heard Merry ask quietly. The She-Elf mopped Frodo’s brow. Strider chewed up some Athelas.
“Frodo.” The She-Elf called. Frodo was still gasping, not hearing a word anyone was saying.
“She’s an elf!” Sam whispered back, answering Merry’s question. The She-Elf looked at Frodo. “He’s fading.” She said. You gasped in horror as she pulled back Frodo’s shirt to reveal the wound, which was a dark black. It seemed to be spreading. Strider put the chewed Athelas into the wound. Frodo gasped in pain as the Athelas worked to slow the poison in Frodo’s body. “He’s not going to last. We must get him to my father.” The She-Elf said. Your heart leapt as Strider picked Frodo up, carrying him with Arwen beside him. “I’ve been looking for you for two days,” the She-Elf said as Strider carried Frodo to the horse. “There are five wraiths behind you, where the other four are I do not know.” She said. Strider placed Frodo onto the Horse. He turned to face the She-Elf.
“Dartho guin perian. Rych le ad tolthathon.”* Strider said. It seemed like he was speaking in Elvish as well.
“Hon mabathon. Rochon ellint im.”* The She-Elf argued. You could see Strider shake his head. “Andelu i ven.”* He seemed to be trying to convince her of something. “What are they saying?” Pippin asked. You shook your head.
”I don’t know, Pip.” You said. The She-Elf looked at Strider. “Frodo fir. Ae athradon i hir, tur gwaith nin beriatha hon.”* The She-Elf said. “I do not fear them.” She said. Strider sighed and took the She-Elf’s hand, holding it tightly. Just from their interaction, you knew that these two had a history together.
“Be iest lin.”* Strider said. The She-Elf smiled slightly. She quickly mounted her horse behind Frodo, who was still having trouble breathing. Strider looked at the She-Elf. “Ride hard. Don’t look back.” Strider said. Glancing at Strider once again, the She-Elf turned to her horse.
“Noro lim, Asfaloth, noro lim!”* The She-Elf said. Without a second thought, the horse sped off, taking Frodo further away from you. Your stomach twisted in worry for your friend, not knowing when you might see him again. Sam raced up to Strider.
“What’re you doing? Those wraiths are still out there!” Sam shouted. Strider looked on, just as worried as Sam was.
*I am Arwen. I have come to help you. Hear my voice. Come back to the light
*Stay with the Hobbits. I will send horses back for you.
*I’m the faster rider. I’ll take him.
*The road is too dangerous
*Frodo’s dying. If I can get across the river, the power of my people will protect him.
*As you wish.
*Ride fast, Asfaloth, ride fast
You looked around in aw at Rivendell. The home of the Elves were truly magnificent places. The Lord of the House, Elrond, welcomed you, Sam, Merry, Pippin and Strider warmly, providing you places to sleep. Before you rested, you requested to see Frodo. Elrond personally lead you there.
“He is quite resilient. Most would not survive long from being stabbed by a Morgul blade.” Elrond said. You smiled slightly, hoping, praying to the Valor that Frodo had survived. Elrond lead you into the room where Frodo slept. You gasped lightly at your friend. He was laying in bed, dressed in white pajamas. The color was slowly returning to his face. He no longer looked like he was in pain. You walked over and stood by the bed. You gently gripped his hand. “I will leave you be.” Elrond said, giving the two of you some privacy. He closed the door behind him, leaving you and Frodo alone. You pulled up a chair next to the bed. Tears came to your eyes as you remembered the pain Frodo was in. How his eyes clouded over. How his lips went blue and his skin cold and pale.
“Y-You are so strong, Frodo,” you whispered, gently stroking his hand. “I wish I could be like you. So strong, so resilient. So kind,” you pressed a kiss to his hand. “I will stay by your side, Frodo. I will never let anything hurt you again. I swear it.” You whispered. Soon, exhaustion took over and you found yourself falling asleep.
~~~~
When you came to, you felt a hand brushing through your hair. You heard two familiar voices.
“She has not left your side.” Gandalf. Gandalf was here!
“She told me she would stay by my side. She brought me comfort, when I was fading. She was my light.” Frodo. Frodo was awake! Forcing your eyes open, you blinked for a moment to clear your sight. You looked up and saw Gandalf. A smile came to your lips.
“Gandalf! You’re here!” You said. Gandalf smiled and nodded.
“Yes, my dear [Y/N]. I’m here.” He said. The weight of a hand on your head lifted and you rose your head. Your eyes bore into those beautiful blue eyes that you thought you would never see again. Tears of happiness came to your eyes.
“Oh Frodo,” You whispered. You sat up and pulled Frodo into a hug. His familiar arms wrapped around your waist. Frodo’s breath tickled the exposed skin of your upper neck. You sighed in content. You pulled away and gently cupped Frodo’s cheeks in your hands. “Now I am never going to leave your side. Not for a long while.” You said. Frodo chuckled and smiled. Placing his hands over yours.
“Well, I’m glad. I quite enjoy your company, [Y/N].” Frodo said.

Reblog with your reasons, I'm very curious!
@tolkien-fantasy @beenovel @smelly-fozzy @the-second-tonks (I think you might be interested)
yes!!! hobbits are adorable (frodo especially)! i love how innocent they are at the beginning of the movies, not knowing the dangers of the outside world, and how much braver and more mature they get throughout the series (in both the movies & books). and i love how they all have curly hair -- it's just the cutest thing! i'd love to have their lifestyle, especially with the first breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper cuz i am ALWAYS hungry, lol.
I absolutely love hobbits, partly because they’re chill asf and have gardens and wear the cutest clothes, but also because they’re just so tender.
Sam, Frodo, Pippin and Merry all express their emotions, not afraid to cry in front of each other. Frodo kisses Sam on the forehead and press their foreheads against each other. Bilbo calls Frodo “my dear boy” and expresses his emotions to Frodo rather than suppressing them.
They’re so caring to others as well- Pippin and Merry stay behind with Boromir instead of leaving him as he dies. Frodo and Sam look out for each other, Frodo gets concerned over Aragorn at times and has a close relationship with Gandalf.
Hobbits overall know how to love, and I really really love that about them.
I will happily take any Frodo Baggins imagines if y'all want one 😁! Some might be longer than others cuz this week is Holy Week and some days are busier than others. But y'all should expect the imagines to be posted before the end of the week, depending on what life is like.
