AMEN! This is literally sooooo true!

In Defense of Frodo Baggins

If you can’t see the beauty in the character of Frodo Baggins, get out of my face.

In Defense Of Frodo Baggins

He was a normal, everyday man, but he was given the MOST EVIL AND DANGEROUS THING IN THE UNIVERSE TO GUARD AND CARRY.

He lost his mind carrying it for a year and suffered horrible PTSD, and I still have to listen to people moan and groan about how ‘hE dOeSn’T kIlL aNyOnE’ or that ‘HeS sUcH a CrYbAbY’

BABES HE HAS THE LITERAL WEIGHT OF THE WORLD ON HIS SHOULDERS. ALSO WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT HE DOESNT M U R D E R PEOPLE.

‘sAm Is ThE rEaL hErO’ ‘sAm Is So UnDeRrAtEd’

Sam is SO appreciated, and I’m happy about that, but

a) the whole point is that the WHOLE FELLOWSHIP ARE HEROES

and b) do y’all think Sam would stand for this Frodo slander on his behalf (or in general)? NAHHHH.

Also people say that Sam could have just carried the ring. No, he couldn’t. We literally SEE in the movie when Sam is saving Frodo that Sam hesitates before giving Frodo the ring. He was tempted by it, and he hadn’t even had it for a day. Frodo had been carrying that ring for close to a YEAR, and he still had self control. That says something about Frodo’s emotional and mental strength.

Sam can’t carry the ring, but he can carry his friend.

In Defense Of Frodo Baggins

Together they are one hero, and neither of them would have made it to Mordor without the other.

God I’m so sick of the Frodo hatred.

At this point I might as well write an essay defending him, when I have the time.

@frodo-cinnamon-roll and he's an adorable cinnamon roll too!

My statement after watching "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is:

Frodo is GORGEOUS.

Nighttime Comfort

Scenario: The Fellowship decided to rest for the night. Aragorn and Boromir get into an argument of where they should go. Meanwhile, Frodo is struggling to get some sleep, and the reader is the only one who can get him to rest.

Pronouns used: I/Me

"Have you noticed that Mr. Frodo hasn't gotten any sleep for the past couple of days, Miss y/n?" Sam asked.

I looked up at him, a little surprised.

"Yes, I have noticed. He hasn't slept since Lothlorien."

"Someone should tell him that he should get some rest."

Sam got his feet and said, "Someone's got to get him to sleep at least a little bit."

I reached my arm out to pull Sam back to the ground. He looked at me, a little startled.

"No, Sam. Let Frodo be. He's got a lot on his mind at the moment. He needs to be left alone for a little bit."

"Y/n, Mr. Frodo hasn't gotten any sleep since we left Lothlorien. And I'm worried. I'm going to try and convince him to get some rest."

I had no choice but to let Sam go. I sat there in silence before Sam came back a few minutes later, looking incredibly defeated. He heaved a huge sigh before sitting down next to me again. He looked miserable.

"Couldn't get him to fall asleep?" I asked.

"No, Miss y/n," he mumbled. "I really tried to change his mind about getting some sleep, but he won't lie down." He paused before looking hopeful. "Maybe you can help him, Miss y/n?"

I gave him a small smile.

"Sam."

"Please?" he pleaded. "He doesn't listen to me. He hasn't listened to anyone else. You're the only person that he listens to. Please try. If you can't get him to fall asleep, just come back here."

I glanced over at Frodo, who was sitting on the edge of the riverbank. He had his knees pulled to his chest, hugging onto them.

"Okay, I'll try," I finally gave in. I got up and walked quietly over towards Frodo's side. He looked so small, so innocent. I sat down quietly next to him and put a gentle hand on his shoulder. He jumped and turned to face me. He smiled slightly. "Frodo?"

"Hey, y/n," he answered in a miserable voice.

"Can't sleep?"

"It's impossible to sleep, y/n. Especially with the Ring hanging around my neck. It's getting heavier every day," he answered in a miserable voice.

My heart immediately broke for him, and I pulled him into a comforting side hug.

"Oh, Frodo," I murmured in a soft voice. I allowed him to rest his head gently on my shoulder. "I know that it's going to be hard. But I'm going to be with you every step of the way." Frodo looked wearily up at me, giving me a smile of thanks. I took him out of the hug and placed both hands gently on his cheeks. "Have you not gotten any sleep at all, Frodo?"

Frodo blushed, looking incredibly embarrassed.

"No. Not since Lothlorien."

"Frodo. Sweetheart." I got him to look at me and I brushed my thumbs against his cheeks. "You need to at least get some sort of rest."

"I can't, y/n," he answered, though he sounded tired. "It's impossible to sleep with this darn thing around my neck."

"Would it help if I was by your side?" I suggested.

Frodo blushed.

"S-Sure."

I smiled softly at him before I got myself comfortable on the pebbly bank of the river. I used my pack as a substitute pillow before patting my chest, indicating to Frodo that he could rest on it. He blushed again before hesitatingly snuggling into me, with his head resting softly on my chest. I responded by wrapping a protective arm around his waist.

I don't know how long we've laid there, but we soon heard the sound of arguing from nearby. I couldn't exactly hear what they were talking about, but it wasn't good.

"Why should we listen to you?" Boromir spat. "Why can't we just take the Ring to Gondor? We could be more powerful than Sauron himself. We'll have something that he doesn't have."

Frodo's body tensed against mine. His action startled me a little bit, as I thought he had been asleep. I responded by wrapping my arm even more protectively around his waist. With my free hand I ran my fingers repeatedly through his curly dark brown hair.

"But that would get Sauron to find a reason to destroy us!" Aragorn hissed back. "I am not going to take the Ring to Gondor!" He paused before adding, "I do not want to betray Frodo like that."

I allowed myself to relax. At least I knew to trust Aragorn. Boromir, not so much.

The duo took their argument someplace else, allowing me and Frodo to relax a little more. Frodo looked up at me, resting his chin on my chest. His blue eyes wide with fear. He gripped my dress tightly.

"I'm scared, y/n," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Shh. I know, sweetheart," I murmured in a soft voice. I opened my arms out to him and pulled him into another warm hug. He gladly sank into my embrace. "I'll be here to protect you. Always." I pressed a gentle kiss to his curly hair and rested a hand gently on his back. I paused for a second, noticing that Frodo had not gone to sleep again. "Get some sleep, Frodo. I'll be here when you wake up."

Frodo nodded sleepily. And finally, he went to sleep.
