why do you post your tip link instead of using the tumblr tipping? no shade but I would think making it easier would help

So I was using the Tumblr tipping thing at first, but 2 things happened:

They removed 40 cents from every dollar tipped

AND

The money never actually made it to my account. I contacted staff and they pretty much said to be patient, but my last tip was like 2 months ago? And still haven't seen any of it.

Tipping is obviously not a requirement, but if someone is kind enough to do so, I'd like it to actually make it to me instead of Tumblr keeping it.
