Long story short, the end times happened, a hundred year war between demons and angels,(yadda yadda) however difference is the result in both parties being wiped out. Heaven and Hell have collapsed completely but only barely existing, same can be said about the forces of both sides.

The seven demonic royalties and their subsets died but pieces of their essences remain ready to reform into a completely new version of themselves.

Before that could happen the weakened remaining third parties/religions that still exist came together and with what little power they had left sealed these "would be demons" away in which took the form of large cages.

Hoping for future generations could become strong enough to finish off the last of these entities.
