prefacing this w i don't fully believe this is actually a thing & it would not be surprising if this were just fake but: i saw a post abt "bonesmashing" where incels supposedly repeatedly hit themselves in the face with a blunt object to get a "Chad" jawline & most of the notes r like "haha they deserve it" "trash taking itself out" "I hope they kill themselves" etc etc. and like. idk. I think the idea that people would willingly brutally hurt themselves because they think no one will love them unless they have an appropriately masculine facial structure is deeply disturbing. like i don't think you need to like incels as people to think this is concerning. assuming for a moment this is real then like. do u really think there's not gonna be any young boys who see that and consider it? idk I just don't feel like any sort of self harm driven by self hatred & harmful gender standards should be viewed as funny or deserved!!! i need y'all to look past your gut desire for violent revenge and consider other people as humans beings just like you who are suffering for like 5 minutes
